Patty came out of retirement to do a show with Chris Stapleton. Two songs they did together were "You dont even know who I am" and "You'll never leave Harlem Alive." Both are terrific songs!
Vince Gill joined The Eagles a few years back and I think they are doing a final tour this year. Talk about harmonies! The Eagles are known for that,
I planned on the music for my memorial service when I go home to God, and he figures into the playlist. He is so very unique and moving...uplifting and solemn. Just one of the best voices in country and gospel hands down.

You probably won't see this, but here goes anyway.
As so many have pointed out, yes, that is Patty loveless singing harmony, but I don't know if anyone pointed out that if you listened to the popular live version of go rest high on that mountain she was singing harmony with Ricky Scaggs on that.
Also that instrument is a pedal steel guitar. Very common in 70's and 80's county. The sponge bob thing is most likely played on a lap steel guitar. Similar but slightly different sounding. It's used on a very cool old song called sleepwalk by Santos and Johny way back in the day. Also by David Gilmour on one of these days and high hopes. Such a cool instrument!

Vince is a master at the vocals and a master at bringing out the emotions on several of his songs. He is a class act all around. Allison Krauss would be another amazing artist to check out for her, I’d almost say, haunting vocals.
