I agree my dad was a farmer with grandpa then in the Army, then a shop mechanic in a textile mill. I was amazed when I went to high school with town kids and their dads paid people to work around their houses.
The point of "just a manure spreader" is certainly accurate, and you cannot make a case that they add any functionality, but the decals really make the spreader look right and good! Very nice touch as usual.
Hi Joel, I think you are asking about my RUclips channel disappearing. I was hijacked and my entire google account was stolen and erased. I am tempted to re-establish my content because I considered it to be instructive, but the loss was a serious kick in the butt. Do you have an opinion
Pete, the old Super C is such a beauty. And she sounds soooo sweet. And that has to be the prettiest manure spreader I have ever seen. One more thumbs-up for Pete Larson. Thanks, Pete.
My 4 year old son was so excited to see your new video this morning. He loves watching you fix the tractors. One of his favs is watching you plow snow with the tractor. He wants one himself. 😆 great video as always, love how the manure spreader turned out! Always fun to watch “farm show” as my son says. 😊 God bless
For the record, I really enjoy watching you rebuilding and repairing your farm equipment and tractors. I guess maybe because it reminds me of my father, who was never afraid or timid to tackle any repair job around our house or on his cars. Thank you for your channel, I enjoy it very much regardless of the task!
I figure it this way. If something is not working or broken, I might repair it. What is the worse I could do if it is already broken? Make it *broker?*
That manure spreader 👀 looks better than new I always like the look 👀 of those old farmalls with that bright red paint along with the new Holland equipment that bright snow with a full moon at night it that red paint really stands out really enjoy watching you bring that old rusty stuff back looking 👀 like new again thanks for taking us viewers along
Peter you are a good mechanic, I really enjoy you tractor videos just us much as I enjoy the farming email. I am restoring a 1960 and a 1971 Volvo your videos are such .inspiration. Thank you.
We tried your steaks a couple nights ago, just the steaks, no sides, they were humongous!! Honestly one of the best sirloin steaks I’ve ever had. Probably would have been way better on charcoal. Thank you Pete for feeding our family food for the soul, you can taste the care you put into your animals
Good morning it the Nov 28 in Kitchener Ont Canada and have the first snow .Sit that 9 f outside I hope you with have a good day .Just to tell that mom get up to see you a little 89 year old. Thank you for all the happy you do for her.
Wow Pete, farmers are really "a jack of all trades". Mechanic, engineer, painter and so on. Your skills are amazing, and I enjoy watching and listening to you explain how each task is accomplished. Thanks!
Pete the manure spreader looks like a new on great job . Your channel is amazing. I watch every video. My wife and I would watch you until she passed away. She loved your channel as much as I do.
A little bit of love and some elbow grease is all it takes! Oh. Let’s not forget the hours of research put in to figure it all out. Amazing job on both the spreader and the super c. The lesson is it doesn’t have to be perfect, I think!
I love the way the C123 sounds without a muffler. It’s like a WW2 airplane to me. I am in the process of restoring my dad’s super c and I think I am going to straight pipe it.
Pete will likely restore the CUB next. It's the only tractor on the channel he hasn't touched mechanically. If you're considering restoring one of the 56-series tractors, Pete, attempting that in a shop as small as yours would be crazy.
Boy, those red tractors sure look pretty all lined up in the 'new' machine barn! Can't wait to see which one is set to join them with the winter project!
Well Pete I am glad you might have your pig problem fixed I love watching them little buggers grow. I love watching your channel your animals are great. Thanks
Pete, thanks for being able to look over your shoulder. Your professional, patient, and detailed approach to these very difficult tasks is an inspiration.
Good job Pete! Thanks for the tutoring and info. Your pump research was interesting for sure. But, you figured it out. What a fine looking Super C you have now! That empty corn field reminds me of a line from James Whitcomb Riley poem, "When the Frost is on the Punk'in", "The stubbles in the furies kinda lonesome like but still, a preachin sermons to us of the barns they growed to fill."
The super C pump rebuild and discussion of parts availability is such a wonderful learning lesson for all of us to learn from. The journey is bitter sweet.
Can’t wait for news on the winter project 👍 . But a little request , let’s see what the cows are making of the new winter shed / extension . Always love seeing the cattle 😊
Thanks for taking the time to put out another great video! Spreader looks amazing. Always enjoy the rebuilds…great background in the IH pumps. Looking forward to the big project!
Reminds me of putting decales on my model cars, planes, boats, pinewood derby cars. The good ole days, late 60s early 70s;time to get out the glue and ester paints🤗 thanks!
I do enjoy all of your videos. These R and R videos remind me of time spent watching my Dad. Like you Pete he was able to fix practically anything and encouraged his 3 daughters to help. I enjoyed the time spent with him. He’s gone now but these are great memories. Thank you for the wonderful videos.
You did an excellent job on your manure spreader. I bet it feels good to have your machinery working well and looking good. Your instructions re decals installation are so helpful for anyone who is doing such stuff. That is why your channel, no matter what anybody might say to the contrary (jealous people), is as much a public service as it is very enjoyable. Thank you. Marcel from Saskatchewan.
Hi Pete I believe the pre wetting does not activate the adhesive rather it just makes them easier to position. This stops the non intended sticking during placement. Hi from Australia.

Fun stuff. Looks great! Not sure anybody offered this yet, but to the best of my knowledge spraying soapy water isn't for activating the stickiness. It simply allows you to place the decal and slide it around. Once in the perfect position then you use the squeegee to get that soapy water out of there, and allow the vinyl to stick. So you don't need to use tape or other markings to line things up, you can just slide the decal into the perfect position. I hope that is helpful! Happy Holidays from Alaska!

Ah.... A cliffhanger from Pete, I love it. That hydraulic pump was more complicated than the one on my old super a about 30 years ago I found the oil over full and didn't know what was wrong, so I went to my I-H dealer and he said to pull the pump off and bring it to him. He split it on the counter picked the shaft o ring popped a new one in and charged me a couple of bucks. Been fine ever since. I sure miss him and having parts 5 miles away.
I love that Super C, Pete. My dad purchased a new Farmall 230 with a narrow front-end for our farm in Maine in 1958. It was in the family until 1981 when my mother sold it after my father past away. Last year my brother and I tracked it down. It's still with the owner who bought it from my mother and happily it is still in use. I can remember starting that 230 from a cold start and it sounded just like your Super C...that was a great tractor!
*chef's kiss* Beauty!! Those decals really finish the spreader off!! I hope you're able to find an original hydraulic pump. It would be FAR easier to get parts for one in the future
You do a very good job of tear down and rebuild and you don’t skip over nothing it’s very nice to watch your videos from start to finish. Keep up the good work I’d like it.
Pete, I always enjoy your videos with mechanical repairs and restoration. You take care and don’t rush to get things done and do it right. Thank you for taking me along, it’s so enlightening and enjoyable.😊
Pete you’ve got great mechanical skills especially for an architect. Farm boys are amazing mechanics and problem solvers. The turd tosser is good as new! Great job on both your latest projects. I sure enjoy the videos. Thanks
Before I studied architecture my vocation was sign painting. Had one of the first computer sign makers using 3M vinyl material. Worked for Paul Newman from ‘78-‘88 applying the graphics to the race cars at Danbury Ct. My favorite was the Planter’s Peanut car which photos can still be found online. Interesting always to see how tractor parts are designed and manufactured. Nice pump job, although I haven’t used olive to cook anything yet that wasn’t food! Can’t wait for the restoration project-hope it is your oldest tractor. Hope you, Hilary and family have great week! And come on let us know when the restoration will start. 😊

Hey Pete, it's getting cold here in Wisconsin as well. 5 degrees right now. No heat in my shop so I'll wait for the sun to warm things up. Rebuilding old equipment with the intent of them going back to work can be quite the challenge. I'm so disappointed with the remanufactured and after market parts I've been buying. It seems many of them are just supposed to be bolted on and not actually worked. My most recent project has been the worst. Two radiators, two water pumps, three fuel pumps, two carburetors and valve lifters that go flat when sitting overnight. Doing something the first time is satisfying. The second, not so much. My next big hurdle is that the last real parts guy is retiring first of the year. The rest are nice fellows but can only follow the computer prompts. I'm not ready to go the way of the dinosaurs so I'll just continue on having fun getting greasy! Thanks for all the real world videos.

Pete, I always enjoy your videos with mechanical repairs and restoration. You take care and don’t rush to get things done and do it right. Thank you for taking me along, it’s so enlightening and enjoyable.😊
Ooooo! Started up smooth! Started up smooth! 😊😊😊
Pete, your knowledge and experience never cease to amaze me. Great job. I'm looking forward to much more
Good day to all.
I remember that method for decals from a long time ago. Still looks nice.
@29:56 Patty is on her game! Ready to complain as soon as Pete turns off that tractor! Pete ...Patty wants new grass to eat...LOL
