Thank you for this post. I was 6W6D when I learned the baby stopped growing. I waited a week to schedule the D&C. It's tomorrow and I'm terrified, even though it's a fast and sadly common procedure. I've been an absolute mess this past week. I was so excited, and now I'm beyond heartbroken. It's weird to be pregnant, but not pregnant. Then after tomorrow, definitely not pregnant. Many prayers to all the mamas who've had to say goodbye. May you find healing and peace. Goodnight to all and blessings to all the angel babies.
Hello, I’m sorry you had to go through this. I also had a d&c about 4 days ago. I stopped bleeding quick and hardly bled at all actually. I wanted to ask you how long it took for your period to come back and/or if you’re trying immediately again? Is it harder? Sorry if these are very personal questions.
I went through a natural miscarriage at home at 8 weeks and it felt very healing for me. The whole process felt like a a birth which I had a C-section for my first baby so it was amazing to see how I had contractions so strong and my body “birthed” my baby. Although it was a bit traumatic I’m grateful I didn’t need any outside interventions and my body knew what to do.
I have just had a miscarriage with my little baby twins. Even though I still feel so much emotional pain and sadness, I am glad that my body was able to go through this miscarriage naturally at home and it somehow gave me hope that one day my body will also be capable to deliver my healthy living baby.
I lost my baby at GA 25w following a premature rupture of membranes this jan 2022. I delivered a live child after labour induction but she survived only 11 hrs before she passed away. I had no pain to tell me that something wrong was happening in my body. But after the incident, I demanded my right to go through the grieving process from the docs. They were hesitant and told that if I held or saw the baby I would suffer medical complications and the chances of survival of the baby were bleak. I however chose to give myself a chance to embrace all that was happening. My baby died in my arms. My husband and me took the time to grieve and it helped us positively. Avoiding unpleasant situations only worsens the things at subconscious level. I don't know why my membranes ruptured without any event at so further in pregnancy. I switched several docs to get an opinion but no clear answers. They say it's probably because of fibroids (2-3 cm). If you can provide some information, I will be really grateful.
I had a miscarriage about 2 months ago. Our first child. Went to our first US appt at about 8/9 wks and my ob was having a hard time finding heartbeat. She said I’m probably just earlier than I thought and to come back in a week for a more “official” US. Went back next week and baby was measuring at 6 weeks and couldn’t get a heartbeat. About a week later I started spotting. I started my miscarriage naturally but was having severe cramping/ bleeding, and having a tough time passing tissue. My husband had to call 911, and get me to the ER. They ended up doing a D&C. About a month later I started my period. Was a lot heavier than normally. I actually felt kind of sad after that period because I knew everything regarding my pregnancy was officially gone now. The pain was so bad. My moms an RN and she came to meet us. She said I was having labor pains. It kind of blew my mind. Physically I’m healed but emotionally not even close.
This was a video I didn’t know I needed ❤️ I’m in that junction now too, and though I’m inclined toward a d&c I’m nervous from that choice too. Thank you 🙏🏻
I just went through this in December-January. We were diagnosed with a missed miscarriage at our first ultrasound on 12/23/21 at what should have been 8w3d, but the baby was measuring 6w1d with no heartbeat. I wasn't having any spotting or cramping, so my doctor prescribed Cytotec which I took 12/28/21. Unfortunately after only mild bleeding and two follow up ultrasounds, the baby had not passed, so I had a D&C on 1/7/22. For me, the D&C was a huge relief. I needed the pregnancy to be truly over so I could close the chapter on the pregnancy as a whole and begin to heal and move on. Luckily, our doctor said we could try right away to get pregnant again! We're currently in the two week wait for our second cycle TTC after our D&C and are crossing our fingers we get to bring a baby home with us by Christmas. ♥ Thank you for sharing this information.
@@sarahvasquez0902 During that second cycle we had a chemical pregnancy. The third cycle following our D&C also resulted in a chemical pregnancy. We've been referred to an infertility specialist to help us figure out why we are having recurrent miscarriages.
Hi, I'm so sorry about your loss. My husband and I just experienced a loss in December 2021 also. Most horrific trial I've experienced in my life, but I'm thankful that our faith has kept us and we were able to conceive again right away. I'm 17 weeks 3 days pregnant now and I've been dealing with thoughts of having another miscarriage, but we continue to pray. The strangest thing of it all was that I too had a missed miscarriage so it wasn't until my first ultrasound that I learned there was no heartbeat. I was 12 weeks pregnant, but the doctors said the baby measured 8 weeks+, but amazingly after learning about the miscarriage, my body began to do what it needed to expel our baby and the placenta. So I learned about the miscarriage on a Thursday (it was confirmed), and by the following Wednesday, I went into labor at home and had the baby in our tub and by Thursday morning the placenta had come out and afterwards it was like my regular period. My husband did have me to drink a tea with senne leaves, I believe it was, and I think that certainly helped to onset the labor. I pray you and your family and all those who's experienced such pain find healing and ultimately are blessed with a healthy, live baby(ies) in the near future.
Thank you for presenting all 3 options so quickly! I hope the info can really help some mamas out there have a more healing and empowering miscarriage.
Hi! I'm 40 weeks pregnant tomorrow! A year of trying to conceive after the miscarriage of our first child. This will be my first live birth and I'm so excited. We had a miscarriage a little over 13 weeks gestation. I experienced consistent cramping that I just knew was not normal for me. I actually went to the hospital. That was alot, as I hate the hospital but my body knew something was wrong. I wasn't dialated at that point but they did tell me to expect a spontaneous abortion as they seen no cardiac activity. Wanted me to come back for hormone level check in a day or two. I went home and about and hour later started bleeding. Six hours after the bleeding onset and what I considered a mini labor with contractions that grew in intensity; I delivered my tiny baby at our home. Although it was a mournful time, I was so impressed with my body's ability to efficiently deal with the loss of the pregnancy. I had no need for medical intervention and was so blessed for that. What I've wondered since, was the miscarriage my body went though similar to a labor? No one has ever been able to answer that question for me, just curious as I'm about to birth my first child any day now. I pray and plan to have a fully natural birth! I love your informational videos, you're truly awesome!
I found it to be similar to labor (unlike menstrual cramps) where the contractions come and go and once the baby and placenta (or "products of conception" if very early in pregnancy) pass the bleeding settles to a light period. Labor is more intense in my opinion because we still have to push out a 5-8lb baby, but the contractions are similar. Hope that helps!
I had a similar experience and miscarried naturally at home. Sorry to hear of your loss as well as congrats for your new baby. I also became pregnant a year later after my miscarriage and now 7 months. The contractions most definitely felt like actual labour. I've also also asked the questions and never really received a solid answer. But ive learnt that if one has a gut feeling that it's the same it prob is. But yeah just not sure about the actual delivery part on full term. All the best xxx
Update: I was able to have a vaginal birth without any drugs! Was a beautiful, empowered natural birth! Next time around if I get so blessed again, I'd love to do a home birth! Thank you for your videos! Had my boy at 40 weeks 3 days!
Thank you for the video , currently going through a natural miscarriage . Lightly bled throughout 4w to 10w. Heard a heartbeat at 8weeks then bleed at 9 weeks and again at 10 weeks , in that transvaginal ultrasound no heartbeat was found and baby was failing to grow showing 8w1d growth . Dr gave me 3 options : natural, medical , surgical miscarriage. It’s my first pregnancy and miscarriage.
I was 11 weeks when we went to check the pregnancy and the baby stopped growing at 10 weeks. I decided to get the Cytotec from my dr since I wanted my body to pass it naturally. After few hours taking the pills I went to ER were I had things coming out. I felt like I was in labour even I don’t know how that feels but the pain and contractions were strong. I had two more times my body flashing out things but the dr. told me that there’re tissues remaining over 2cm I waited for my body to reject and it didn’t. Waited for few days and then again took pills as I wanted to avoid D&c if possible. After a week still the tissues were remaining where I had to decide to go with d&c to avoid any infection. If I new my body won’t remove everything, which it was only 5%chance I would have done d&c to not have to go through it. During D&c didn’t feel any pain or next day but had cramps again after two days. I’m so sorry for everyone who’s going through this process is mentally and emotionally exhausting. 😢take care yourself ladies

I think I just miscarried but I'm not sure whether to see medical attention or what coz it happened at home. I started my period on the 21st of October. Everything seemed normal until I had a gush when I went to pee on the 22nd, I had a look and it was a small bloody sack almost the size of a chicken heart. Later that day I started getting contructions out of the blue, my partner gave me pain meds and after sometime the pain went away. Now I'm not sure if I should go to my doctor or what? Will this affect me in future or it won't? Kindly assist
How long is take to miscarriage completely? I think I was 5 or 6 weeks and I am bleeding like a period but not much yet? My pelvis is hurt? What should I do , I have a appointment in 9/12 is too long tho!
How long is take to natural miscarriage completely??? Now i’m 10th week pregnant, when I was 8 weeks pregnant with twins and my doctor didn’t found heartbeat as well embry in any gestational sacin first scan and suggested 2nd scan after one week. In second scan dr found one sac was decreased in size and other just grown one day in one week…so dr suggested it would be a miscarriage and asked me to wait… Today i got my period it is mild but am scared how long will it take to complete miscarriage naturally????
I was at my 8th week i was spotting on and off and 2 days later was my appointment i experienced the heaviest and most painful bleeding today i know that i lost it so do i need to go through D&C or should i get any pill idk how this process works?

I started light spotting 6 days ago and confirmed yesterday an empty sac. I would be 11 weeks 3 days. I guess I’m unsure when to know if my body won’t pass naturally. Spotting hasn’t increased, no cramping. I do feel a little bloated, which I thought was a growing bump. But I just want this to be over with. When do I know that I may need help/intervention? I’d rather it be natural but it’s just looming over me
If you were to start bleeding extremely heavily and it did not stop within an hour or if you start to show signs of an infection. Usually when you are this far along a doctor will walk through the miscarriage with you at least weekly to make a plan. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Thanku so much.... i have a question i was 11 week pregnent and at the doctors office they told baby was only 8 weeks and they are not seeing heart beat... now its been 2 weeks waiting to natural expel.... Can i take mortin or ibuprofen during the time of miscarriage pain?
Hey I am miscarrying now. And I have had two. This time it took me 3 weeks before I natural miscarried. The first time I had to wait 2 weeks. So just be patient it takes time. You can take the meds yes. For me I actually had contractions. I had a labor both times I just didn’t have the ring of fire. My water broke during contractions and then the baby came out both times. So if you get contractions know it’s normal. Sorry hon :(
I had a similar experience so I just went straight to a D&C I plan to start trying immediately since my doctor didn’t give me any restrictions or anything .
I have been waiting 10 days for the natural process to start and I want to ask you how long is the maximum that can be expected and that there are no risks. In your experience, how long does it take to start? Thanks for your video it helps me a lot
I think this can really vary woman to woman. I waited 3 weeks for a miscarriage to happen naturally, but it never happened (I opted for surgery). I'm not sure if there is a recommended natural wait time; that's a great question. I'm sorry for your loss 💜
Hi @cajunstork It is my first pregnancy ever around 11 weeks now but my doctor told me my ultrasound shows is about 5 weeks only empty sac no heartbeats and reffered me to take medically treatment for abort this pregnancy but i just want to know how long we can wait with blighted ovum to miscarry itself naturally. I don’t want to get any infection or any harm to my ovary for future 😢 please suggest should i wait or go for medical .i do not have any spotting symptoms. Please reply my appointment is coming this week.
@@sunitaanilchoudhary8486 I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks without any medication. The doctors advised me to wait for some time before performing any procedure, and during that period, I had a miscarriage. My bleeding lasted for a whole month. 😔
Spotting does not mean you're going to miscarry, but is a concern if it's associated with cramping too. Be sure to contact your dr or midwife if you're spotting
I so sorry the doctor would say that but your better than that doctor doesn’t matter if it a misscarige or a actual baby loosing somone is real and you should have time to grieve
Sounds disgusting but I am grieving by looking at my discharge. I know every time I get it I’m a step closer to losing my baby. Thank you. Very helpful for me during this time. Had twins not make it past 8 weeks, one came naturally and the other one was stuck. After a week, I had my D&C yesterday and am on track to try and convince in January/ February.🩵🦋
Will be planting a garden in their honor.
In second scan dr found one sac was decreased in size and other just grown one day in one week…so dr suggested it would be a miscarriage and asked me to wait…
Today i got my period it is mild but am scared how long will it take to complete miscarriage naturally????
I was at my 8th week i was spotting on and off and 2 days later was my appointment i experienced the heaviest and most painful bleeding today i know that i lost it so do i need to go through D&C or should i get any pill idk how this process works?
Same boat me I choose pills
@@manieenriquez9946 sorry for your loss. Again i just bled for 2 days that's all I'm travelling this sucks!! It's soo confusing like what am i suppose to do now. I don't have my partner with me all alone.
Sorry hon :(
Am 3weeks pregnant and am sporting 6days but know its increasing slowly and am feeling some pain ,what should i do
Hi @cajun
Usually how long does it take to bleed out completely? I m having only brown bleeding since a week .worried if I may have to go for d&c
Did it end up happening naturally? If so, after how many days?
@@melissaaospino Hi. yes..hello
it was natural. 25 days passed
At what week? I want to pass it naturally too
Hi @cajunstork It is my first pregnancy ever around 11 weeks now but my doctor told me my ultrasound shows is about 5 weeks only empty sac no heartbeats and reffered me to take medically treatment for abort this pregnancy but i just want to know how long we can wait with blighted ovum to miscarry itself naturally. I don’t want to get any infection or any harm to my ovary for future 😢 please suggest should i wait or go for medical .i do not have any spotting symptoms. Please reply my appointment is coming this week.
what did u do then?
@@sunitaanilchoudhary8486 I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks without any medication. The doctors advised me to wait for some time before performing any procedure, and during that period, I had a miscarriage. My bleeding lasted for a whole month. 😔
You are very understand
This will be my seventh miscarriage. I don't know why I'm watching this.ive been through it enough it just sucks.
Courage.so sorry
🙏🏼
Spotting means your going to have a miscarriage I had a miscarriage at 13 weeks pregnant. How do I recover from this?
Spotting does not mean you're going to miscarry, but is a concern if it's associated with cramping too. Be sure to contact your dr or midwife if you're spotting
How many days should I bleed
Thank you for this..
I so sorry the doctor would say that but your better than that doctor doesn’t matter if it a misscarige or a actual baby loosing somone is real and you should have time to grieve
Just miscarried 4 days ago 💔
So sorry to hear that
Sounds disgusting but I am grieving by looking at my discharge. I know every time I get it I’m a step closer to losing my baby. I know it has no heartbeat but just looking at my discharge reminds me of how scared I was losing it and it feels like steps leading to a final goodbye. It’s hard and weird
Can please help
I was made fun of for having my son early in my 20”s now those women that made fun of me are not able to have children and keep having miscarriages, I just have so much anger because and happiness at the same time, I want to say to them, well now whose better off? But then I’m the one that comes off sounding awful because of the double standard with women.
I have miscarriage 10 week pregnancy and little blood flow out please which medicine can i use to flush out the remaining ones 🙏🧎🧎🧎
Are you sure that it was misscarage?
