Overall just engineer and car guy. I like to watch cause even if its simple the thought process you have is helpfull. Also seeing which are the most common problems on cars and how they are fixed. Never to late to learn something.
Check EVERY box of parts from euro car bits . I've seen a few different garages play the old "swap a bit - see if it fixes it "game . Then send the tried new bits back - minus a bolt/clip or grommet .
I just watch as I’m a diy mechanic and do all my own servicing, brakes, suspension etc. on our cars and relatives cars. I like the day in the life videos but also really like how to types. Used to work for Honda and had loads of them. That crv is probably a cracked manifold. The 2.2s were really common for it.
Worked in the local ford main dealer in the 70's, storeman. But sent us to the college to do car mechanics on day release. Sometimes do the odd job, brakes. I'd rather work on a mk1 2 escort . Then spent many years making paper ...a lot of years! 🙂

i'm a keen diy'er, home mechanic. found you from marvolous. i run 3 cars myself (2 classics) and also maintain my sons cars too. Great content and channel.
Im a DIYer and have a go at most jobs on my cars. They are VW Caddy VW Golf MK5 Fiesta MK7 1.25 Tomorrow is ABS pump off on Golf and replace the failed middle bit to hopefully get it working again for it's MOT Also x 2 drop links.... Only problem is every time i open a car bonnet it rains. Only stops when i close it!
Forgot to mention I also worked for the AA as a patrolman 25 years service until my retirement, great place to work but didn't like the shift's or the bad weather.

A mechanic many years ago but still do my own bikes and cars at home if possible. Like your relaxed style but don’t know how you cope with such a variety of makes and models! Everything on modern vehicles seems to be made so difficult to work on but you manage it outside! The quality of replacement parts seems to vary so much. I stick to what I know is good and don’t try to save by buying cheap. INA kit is what I used recently on timing belt job👍
Morning. I have commented before, but I did say that I have been in the trade for 45yrs now (HGV fitter) and with the same company 22yrs (so been doing something right) but I still like watching videos of anything really, we never stop learning.. My land-rover discovery 4 2012 3.0l was due a major service and front & rear timing belt change, I thought to myself, sod it I get a quote for the work to be done as I do this sort of thing day in day out, few quotes later.. 😂😂 I done the work on my drive myself, rear belt was bit of a pig but couple of cups of coffee and a walk away a few times.. Vehicle all good..
I'm also glad to see I'm not the only one that gets nightmare jobs .I done two bottom wishbones on a Skoda Octavia and all the main bolts to the body were seized with corrosion.and all snapped off what a nightmare
I love how the 💩 is right next to the pollen filter on that 3 series... so when the owner starts using the heater/blower in their car they'll get a nice aroma 😂
I reckon it was badger poo. I'm mobile very much the same as your work. Bit of a change today blast from the past VW BCA engine exhaust valves, some one had put 4 coil packs in it and plugs . Thrown the kitchen sink at it and failed .
Im not a mechanic but i do work on my cars then end up hating them. I enjoy watching video's of mechanics as they enable me to learn. I never had the chance at school to learn mechanics and i also believe if you own a car you should learn how to do the basic stuff. I normally only buy coolant and oil from euro car parts and buy the other parts from suppliers from ebay but i have also noticed they dont supply the right bolts if at all. I bought a timing kit for my car and the 2 bolts they supplied were for the pulley but luckily i still had the original tensioner bolt. Even the exhausts are not coming with the gaskets anymore.
Just a deep interest in cars 😀. My day job is far from this but enjoy learning as much as I can since I do quite advanced jobs with my classic cars. Thanks for doing these videos 👍🏻🙌
Speaking of brakes and parts thereof, I put my car in a local garage a few months back for front brake pads and arb drop links, because I couldn't do it at the time. I checked for the first time the other day and they've only gone and put the inside pad, the one with the tang's that slot into the pot, on the outside, I can see the tang's on both sides from outside of the alloy wheels, standing on the kerb!! FPS!!! Oh well no going back there again!! Idiots
This was filmed before that video was edited and posted but they have since reached out and rectified there mess up and I have got a good rapport with them

Liking the new intro and outro. The last intro was good, but it was a little bit too long. State of that caliper carrier makes you wonder how careless the person who fitted the pads has been about doing anything else on the car.

Interested in cars and have a fair knowledge of how they work. Can do basic repairs and servicing but leave heavier work and MOT prep to wife's cousin who served his time with Nissan. Best to know your limits lol.
Mobile mechanics aswell here Isn’t there any local motor factors to you as I’ve got one in my town with a few branch’s that deliver to my house free saves going to pick parts up and because there not massive like euros they care abit more so don’t f up as much
I used to be a mechanic back in the day but i packed it in… At the end of every week i would find myself sitting down with an A4 size peice of paper writing down the names of people i hoped would stop breathing 😂

Those crankshaft pulley bolts NEED to be replaced and then torqued properly as they are TTY bolts.
Coming from a man that should know, thank you 👍🏼 got them back on the road and did say I’d find out about the bolts and cover and nip back

Yeah felt the old intro a lot of people would skip, it takes a couple extra minutes to properly clean up the brakes doesn’t it
