🐉Regarding the comments about me stealing Dawn and Dusk's theories🐉 I released this video an hour after DD and only because I scheduled my video to be released while I was sleeping since YT tells me that it's a good time to upload. But for real, people grossly underestimate the time and effort content creators put into their videos. These projects are passion projects (done for free) that takes weeks and months to create. It takes me 10 hours just to render my video and because I'm a perfectionist, I did that multiple times lol. I'm also new to scripting so that alone took about a week. And as for the theory, itself. I literally thought about nothing else for a couple days to come up with a theory I was happy with for the answer of "who is the Hinokizu man". The animated manga panels alone took days to cutout, edit etc. I also get stressed out recording my Voice overs since it's something I'm really not confident about or used to doing so please think twice before you comment on anyone's channel let alone a small channel doing their best... I still appreciate you checking out my video but if it wasn't for all the other amazing people and their comments, these comments could get to me. PS I only have respect for Dawn and Dusk so no need to compare the two theories. I think we say enough different things that they can be supplementary to each other Piece and love, fam❤
@@famimame Appreciated fam, yeah I'm glad the majority of people understand how ridiculous of an accusation that is😂 I mean on top of that, both DD and I talk about a lot more than just Imu being a dragon. Feels like they're missing the point if that's all they took from the whole 30 mins.

This went so many directions I wasn't expecting, this is fantastic. There's so many Imu theories but you've come at it from a whole new angle, and the whole 'drag(on) queen' bit at the end made me laugh so hard. It was just a matter of time before people started figuring it out. Imu being a Tatsu Dragon Yokai would be pretty cool. You should look at the lore of the Tatsu Dragon Yokai. “Water god” Capable of eating anything (eating Sabo’s flame.) Serpentine tail like the one that punctured Sabo and Cobra. “They live in splendid castles at the bottom of the sea.” The Red Line? The emperor’s of Japan believe they descend from dragons. Celestial dragons? Imu when he eats the flame looks like the dragon from punk hazard. Vegapunk was with a dragon when Clover saw him in the Punk Hazard flashback.
The Tatsu Yokai you’re referring to is basically the Japanese version of the Eastern dragon 🐉 so the same as the Ryu 龍 which is I guess a yokai? In the loosest way? But the ryujin i mention in the video is exactly the same thing you’re talking about, the water god I think! He lived in Ryugu castle, an under water castle and I do believe the mythology goes that he was the ancestor of the very first emperor of Japan as you say! Glad you found the same figure though as ryujin is very interesting for sure! As for Imu likely looking like a western dragon, I agree, and Dawn Dusk who released a similar video to this one around the same time also comes to a similar outcome so do check it out! I basically got peer pressured from the community in the last video to get a new mic which I did but it's been super finnicky. I had to apply a lot of different effects in audition and even had to use the Adobe audio enhancer thing so I was afraid of messing with it any further but you're totally right. it sounds quite sharp (not sure I'm describing it right) I'll look into having a better setup next time! The Goa Kingdom part of this theory after 9:00 is likely a red herring - Goa is part of One Piece because Oda was inspired by Olivier Levasseur, the pirate who stole the Firery Cross of Goa (greatest 'one piece' of pirate treasure ever, looked kinda like Yoru) and went out like Roger (executed, started a hunt for this treasure with a ponegliff-like code). The reason this makes the Goa part specifically a red herring is that the evidence suggests Oda didnt realise Goa was atttached to India when he started OP (which is important to it having king cobras) - it seems likely he assumed it was Brazil due to it being the Portuguese Empire (hence why Luffy, a One-Piece Goan, is Brazilian, not IRL Goan) (Why do I know all this? I'm a Goan 😂) As an aside, Imu having some tie to the 'Nerona' familiy interests me here, as Noronha is a Portuguese surname common in both Brazil and Goa.
@@kusoland Happy to help - I didn't know it would be the case when I first got into One Piece, but it turned out to be one of very few pieces of popular media that engages with Goa at all 😂 (even it's really in name only) I had a dig in the past into piratical implications of Noronha (Nerona as a spelling seems only to relate to Imu) and really the only thing is the island of Fernando de Noronha, one of the first islands sighted in the 'New World' and briefly a pirate hideout (for Black Bart / Bartholomew Roberts - the Golden Age pirate who captured the most ships of all) If I was going to make a crazy theory I'd relate that back to Hachinosu, but I don't think it was important enough in IRL history for it to be of any relevance - Oda isn't clutching at straws 😂

Oh those are some good finds in regards to other pirates but you don't think Oda would have referenced those? There's no hard set rule that authors will only reference big enough events though so who knows, you might be onto something

this is the second theory-video i watch today assuming Imu to be a dragon. Dawn&Dusk and Kusoland are travelling on different routes for their theories just to have some similar conclusions. what if their theories are correct - at least in parts - an Imu, the ruler of the celestial dragons is a dragon himself and maybe one who would let Kaido appear very puny and weak in comparison.
Yeah I've been made aware of DD's new video, what are the odds they came out within hours of each other huh🤣 I think like DD says though, while Kaido was an Eastern Dragon, Imu is most likely a Western dragon with wings very much like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. I like you mentioned Vira because it's definitely the best option, but it goes way deeper, it was in Vira Noland got the waver the Strawhats found in the Saint Briss Galleon. This waver, the one Nami is using now, has a special type of dial that was made in Birka and that is more powerful than the skypeia ones but believed to be extinct for some reason (it was a lie because it was thanks to then Enel reached the Moon). So Vira (which also means "to turn" in Spanish) is connected to Birkans, the ones that also use the knot Joyboy used to store his haki. Vira is the last route before Lodestar and will be where Mother Flame is defeated.

IMU could be inspired by Chernobog from the Fantasia movie, and there’s a strong Dracula influence, making him a vampire-like figure. The name 'IMU' might even stand for 'I Miss U,' referring to his lost love, . In Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Dracula is obsessed with Mina Harker because she reminds him of his lost love Elizabetha. Interestingly, if you rearrange the letters in 'Mina,' you get 'Nami.' This makes me think IMU might be fixated on Nami and could eventually kidnap her..also imu being vampire dracula explains why he's scared of the dawn.. D may stand for Dhampir ..Dhampir is a mythical creature that is the result of a union between a vampire and a human in balkan folklor..Dhampirs are natural enemies of vampires..

@@kusoland Yeah, I noticed that too. I think the character Breed from filler episode 627, titled : "Rufi UMI ni Shisu!? Kaizoku Dōmei Hōkai", foreshadows Imu-sama. (Breed a ringmaster who looks like Dracula) Imu suffered mistreatment by humans in his childhood and his witnessing of their cruelty towards animals may have influenced Imu-sama’s motivations. Just like Breed, who became a ringmaster and sought revenge by turning humans into animals, Imu-sama appears to have a similar mindset. Imu-sama's actions-turning humans into animals (minks..fishmen..ZOANS DF) and becoming their ringmaster-seem to reflect his desire to make humans experience the suffering that animals endure when mistreated. This transformation and role reversal could be his way of seeking retribution for the injustices he has witnessed and endured.

Speaking of the furthering dragon connections I believe that the Gorosei Ju Peter does have a folkloric counterpart in the form of the Shamir a bulky chubby worm like creature used by King Solomon to build is temple and wyrm is another word for dragon.

Yeah I also had an idea that while Luffy's ability is "imagination", Imu's ability is "relativity". There's that shot of Imu walking down the stairs to the giant Straw Hat but in that shot, the candles are on a strange angle as if the whole staircase is on a 90 degree angle. Which reminded my of An MC Escher painting title "relativity". (famous one you've probably seen and also referenced in Thriller Bark episode). Relativity as you know would tie into Einstein's theory of relativity so the power of logic vs imagination and creativity I guess.
If there's a fruit superior to Kaido's then it's definitely not Ryujin but Kohryu Kaido's fruit is based on one of the four auspicious beasts - Azure Dragon of the east which represents east, spring, dawn and wood wuxing There's also: Vermilion Bird of the South representing south, summer, midday and fire wuxing. White Tiger of the west representing west, autumn, dusk and metal wuxing. And Black tortoise of the north representing North, winter, midnight and water wuxing However there's also the fifth member and the de facto leader - The Golden Dragon of the center representing the center, midsummer and earth wuxing(the most important one)
@@temple475 hey temple yes I know about this lore! I really love it and once applied it to the gorosei which worked pretty well. Though I used the Shitenno as the basis and used the beasts as more of a supplementary thing. Which fit really well with V Nasujuro who ended up being a horse demon since the central spot the gold dragon is also a Kirin in some cases which is a horse dragon (Kirin is also a giraffe in Japanese which is why I think Oda uses them a lot). The central spot in shitenno is Taishakuten and represented by the planet of Venus. Taishakuten kind of acts as the leader of the Shitenno too which fits with Nasujuro wearing a different outfit. The other gorosei fit pretty well but not 100% it also works with the 5 dots of WG logo. As for Kohryu being the upgrade to Kaidos devil fruit, I think that’s one possibility but Ryujin who was the most predominant Dragon deity who also was the ancestor to the Emperor of Japan makes more sense to me than bringing in the auspicious beasts since those 5 beasts represented balance so making Kaido’s fruit a downgrade to the Gold dragon, which was just 1 of the 5 beasts feels to me like we’re ignoring the other 3 beasts from the equation. Of course Kaido was the azure dragon and so was a nod to the beasts but I don’t think that means that his upgrade would be the central dragon. But hey maybe I’m being narrow minded here. You might be right! Just don’t think either options are “definitely” wrong or right since Oda often mixes various stories together anyway.
I think Ymir for sure is SUCH an interesting discussion point for characters in One Piece. I can't wait for Elbaf to get more clues about this. I for one hope that Usopp will gain a Fenrir companion!

Yes so I've been told! I agree with DD 100% that Imu will be a Western winged dragon. It would tie in better with Viking mythologies also. Oda makes it pretty clear that flight is an integral development to the world of Pirates🔥
Pitch Black ship of Imu is the Flying Dutchman. He is literally davy jones before. He won a Davy Back Fight V.s. joyboy (By cheating I assume.) Joyboy found out thus fighting him for real but without his crew already. Giving imu his burned scar at the cost of Joyboys life. (Joyboys crew, banished to walk for eternity or sent somewhere by their new captain imu.)

Similar ideas can exist, and it's natural for theorists to come up with overlapping theories. What really matters is the depth of your analysis and the evidence you bring to support your theory. Imu in the Manga. Had a Black triangle shaped tail. It is definitely a Devil/dragon. A winged one specifically. Either Imu or Loki the king of Elbaf has the final poneglyph. Is my guess. However. With the word being it's a government agent who sinks ships that get close. It's prolly someone we haven't met. Like the hidden face we didn't see on the cover a few weeks back.

Imu is so sort of actual devil manifesting in a winger dragon. As for who or what IMU even is. It's hard to say. Can't tell the person height. Could be a pointed hat. Could be a weird shaped head. The arms. Bend at a weird angle where the eblow would be. And it appeared like it's hand. Is 2 fingers? But without a palm? It splits kinda where the wrist is. Could also just be a damn glove...... Imu is Not the man marked by flames and makes 0 sense naritively. So Imu has just been sailing around the ocean baiting pirates? So outlandish he never leaves the garden. The WG does not have the poneglyph…. If the WG did invade fishman Island with that intention, there would be many deaths and Neptune would retaliate…. But as we saw fishman island was just fine. So the one who has the poneglyph left on Peacefull terms indicating he’s a friend. Y’all should really go read the ace novel adaptation it is 100% Cannon.
Nice theory, Kuslando! I believe the 'man with the burn scar' is Dracule Mihawk. Why? ...becuz Zoro left a clue when he fought Mihawk : 'Scars on the back are a swordsman's shame.' This maybe a subtle hint that mihawk has scar on his back, which is why we haven't seen it yet.. scar on back also represent betrayal, a backstab. Oda even hinted at this in an SBS.. Additionally, Mihawk was shown to create whirlpools during the Baratie arc. Another reason I think it's Mihawk is that if he possesses the 4th Road Poneglyph, it would give Zoro a compelling reason to fight and defeat him, eventually handing the Poneglyph to Luffy..

Mihawk possessing the 4th poneglyph doesn't necessarily mean he's looking for the One Piece treasure (even though him joining Cross Guild may suggest he is). Consider this: Mihawk is searching for a stronger opponent to fight, so he keeps the 4th poneglyph because whoever seeks it would be a formidable, worthy opponent for him..

The whirlpools you mention is awesome call back from the time the only DF power we were shown were that of the Strongest title holders. Whitebeards Queck fruit (tsunami ) and Kaido's Boro breath( a Shogun figure spitting fire) Now Mihawk guarding the Final Poneglyph makes some sence as to why he and Shanks fought so regularly, but other than his Warlord status which would confirm Shiryu idea about Goverment involvement the chances are incredibly low. Personally I subscribe to the Good ol' Scorched Gabban theory of Oro Jackson catching fire from the hatching Egg that resident upon it , or the newly introduced ex Warlord that Ace bear (Lizardking) .[Father of Ulti and Page1]

Dragon piece is real! As always the video is very interesting. You know, there is a South American myth (Legend of Trentren Vilu and Caicai Vilu) about a battle between two giant snakes that caused a cataclysm. One of the snakes was the protector of all living things, who saved everyone from the flood, carrying on his back. In the end, he won the victory at a high cost - he won the battle, but could not restore the land to its original state, leaving it dismembered. Kinda remind me this theory.

Ice continent called the jeweled ice sheet or something along with treasure/jeweled tree adam. Joyboys Imu's brother than joyboys name should be Gomu Salamanders thought to be born of fire, due to trees when hit by lightning, and set on fire, salamanders from inside the tree ran out to escape the fire. People who saw this thought the salamanders were coming/being born from the fire. Imu maybe fishing for the next joyboy to capture them n use them as fuel/the eternal flame for ancient weapons. Electromagnetic waves could go along with brain waves/telepathy, and mind reading/ control.

I agree that Dragon needs to have an integral role to play for the pay off since Oda has built him up so much and also because hush hush but theory time... Dragon's face tattoo represents the 3 of Spades. The lowest ranked card in many card games. But what happens when the whole world gets flipped upside down at the end of the story? Oda references card games a lot as you probably know so I feel like this would be a fun theory to go into one day.

Yes I did know that Draco is Latin for dragon which Dracul the Romanian word came from meaning devil! @@SoZo They keep calling him Imu sei, sei meaning a guy Saint. It might be something complicated like he's a man in a woman's body or an androgynous figure. At the end of the day, it's a shonen manga targeted to boys so it seems more likely. Probably wouldn't want to overlap Kishimoto sensei too much either with another final female villain especially since the two villains have similar traits. There's also been a lot of hints at 3 brothers so I've always had it in my head that it would be interesting if Imu was Joyboy's brother

I released this video an hour after DD and only because I scheduled my video to be released while I was sleeping since YT tells me that it's a good time to upload.
But for real, people grossly underestimate the time and effort content creators put into their videos. These projects are passion projects (done for free) that takes weeks and months to create.
It takes me 10 hours just to render my video and because I'm a perfectionist, I did that multiple times lol. I'm also new to scripting so that alone took about a week. And as for the theory, itself. I literally thought about nothing else for a couple days to come up with a theory I was happy with for the answer of "who is the Hinokizu man". The animated manga panels alone took days to cutout, edit etc. I also get stressed out recording my Voice overs since it's something I'm really not confident about or used to doing so please think twice before you comment on anyone's channel let alone a small channel doing their best...
I still appreciate you checking out my video but if it wasn't for all the other amazing people and their comments, these comments could get to me.
PS I only have respect for Dawn and Dusk so no need to compare the two theories. I think we say enough different things that they can be supplementary to each other

Imu being a Tatsu Dragon Yokai would be pretty cool. You should look at the lore of the Tatsu Dragon Yokai. “Water god” Capable of eating anything (eating Sabo’s flame.) Serpentine tail like the one that punctured Sabo and Cobra. “They live in splendid castles at the bottom of the sea.” The Red Line? The emperor’s of Japan believe they descend from dragons. Celestial dragons? Imu when he eats the flame looks like the dragon from punk hazard. Vegapunk was with a dragon when Clover saw him in the Punk Hazard flashback.
The Tatsu Yokai you’re referring to is basically the Japanese version of the Eastern dragon 🐉 so the same as the Ryu 龍 which is I guess a yokai? In the loosest way? But the ryujin i mention in the video is exactly the same thing you’re talking about, the water god I think! He lived in Ryugu castle, an under water castle and I do believe the mythology goes that he was the ancestor of the very first emperor of Japan as you say! Glad you found the same figure though as ryujin is very interesting for sure! As for Imu likely looking like a western dragon, I agree, and Dawn Dusk who released a similar video to this one around the same time also comes to a similar outcome so do check it out! I basically got peer pressured from the community in the last video to get a new mic which I did but it's been super finnicky. The Goa Kingdom part of this theory after 9:00 is likely a red herring - Goa is part of One Piece because Oda was inspired by Olivier Levasseur, the pirate who stole the Firery Cross of Goa (greatest 'one piece' of pirate treasure ever, looked kinda like Yoru) and went out like Roger (executed, started a hunt for this treasure with a ponegliff-like code).
The reason this makes the Goa part specifically a red herring is that the evidence suggests Oda didnt realise Goa was atttached to India when he started OP (which is important to it having king cobras) - it seems likely he assumed it was Brazil due to it being the Portuguese Empire (hence why Luffy, a One-Piece Goan, is Brazilian, not IRL Goan)
(Why do I know all this? I'm a Goan 😂)
As an aside, Imu having some tie to the 'Nerona' familiy interests me here, as Noronha is a Portuguese surname common in both Brazil and Goa.

I had a dig in the past into piratical implications of Noronha (Nerona as a spelling seems only to relate to Imu) and really the only thing is the island of Fernando de Noronha, one of the first islands sighted in the 'New World' and briefly a pirate hideout (for Black Bart / Bartholomew Roberts - the Golden Age pirate who captured the most ships of all)
If I was going to make a crazy theory I'd relate that back to Hachinosu, but I don't think it was important enough in IRL history for it to be of any relevance - Oda isn't clutching at straws 😂

this is the second theory-video i watch today assuming Imu to be a dragon. Dawn&Dusk and Kusoland are travelling on different routes for their theories just to have some similar conclusions. what if their theories are correct - at least in parts - an Imu, the ruler of the celestial dragons is a dragon himself and maybe one who would let Kaido appear very puny and weak in comparison.
Yeah I've been made aware of DD's new video, what are the odds they came out within hours of each other huh🤣 I think like DD says though, while Kaido was an Eastern Dragon, Imu is most likely a Western dragon with wings very much like Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. I like you mentioned Vira because it's definitely the best option, but it goes way deeper, it was in Vira Noland got the waver the Strawhats found in the Saint Briss Galleon. This waver, the one Nami is using now, has a special type of dial that was made in Birka and that is more powerful than the skypeia ones but believed to be extinct for some reason (it was a lie because it was thanks to then Enel reached the Moon). So Vira (which also means "to turn" in Spanish) is connected to Birkans, the ones that also use the knot Joyboy used to store his haki. Vira is the last route before Lodestar and will be where Mother Flame is defeated.

The name 'IMU' might even stand for 'I Miss U,' referring to his lost love, . In Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Dracula is obsessed with Mina Harker because she reminds him of his lost love Elizabetha. Interestingly, if you rearrange the letters in 'Mina,' you get 'Nami.' This makes me think IMU might be fixated on Nami and could eventually kidnap her..also imu being vampire dracula explains why he's scared of the dawn..
D may stand for Dhampir ..Dhampir is a mythical creature that is the result of a union between a vampire and a human in balkan folklor..Dhampirs are natural enemies of vampires..

(Breed a ringmaster who looks like Dracula) Imu suffered mistreatment by humans in his childhood and his witnessing of their cruelty towards animals may have influenced Imu-sama’s motivations. Just like Breed, who became a ringmaster and sought revenge by turning humans into animals, Imu-sama appears to have a similar mindset. Imu-sama's actions-turning humans into animals (minks..fishmen..ZOANS DF) and becoming their ringmaster-seem to reflect his desire to make humans experience the suffering that animals endure when mistreated. This transformation and role reversal could be his way of seeking retribution for the injustices he has witnessed and endured.

Speaking of the furthering dragon connections I believe that the Gorosei Ju Peter does have a folkloric counterpart in the form of the Shamir a bulky chubby worm like creature used by King Solomon to build is temple and wyrm is another word for dragon.
Yes I totally agree on the Wyrm thing and I even included that in the video for a split second but I hadn't dug deeper into it so thank you! So there's a wyrm called Shamir from the tales of King Solomon? That's cool, I'll have to look into that!
I once had my own theory that imus power must be the opposite of luffys but this snake stuff makes it way cooler 👌👌
Yeah I also had an idea that while Luffy's ability is "imagination", Imu's ability is "relativity". There's that shot of Imu walking down the stairs to the giant Straw Hat but in that shot, the candles are on a strange angle as if the whole staircase is on a 90 degree angle. Which reminded my of An MC Escher painting title "relativity". (famous one you've probably seen and also referenced in Thriller Bark episode). Relativity as you know would tie into Einstein's theory of relativity so the power of logic vs imagination and creativity I guess.
If there's a fruit superior to Kaido's then it's definitely not Ryujin but Kohryu
Kaido's fruit is based on one of the four auspicious beasts - Azure Dragon of the east which represents east, spring, dawn and wood wuxing
There's also: Vermilion Bird of the South representing south, summer, midday and fire wuxing. White Tiger of the west representing west, autumn, dusk and metal wuxing. And Black tortoise of the north representing North, winter, midnight and water wuxing
However there's also the fifth member and the de facto leader - The Golden Dragon of the center representing the center, midsummer and earth wuxing(the most important one)
@@temple475 hey temple yes I know about this lore! I really love it and once applied it to the gorosei which worked pretty well.
Though I used the Shitenno as the basis and used the beasts as more of a supplementary thing.
Which fit really well with V Nasujuro who ended up being a horse demon since the central spot the gold dragon is also a Kirin in some cases which is a horse dragon (Kirin is also a giraffe in Japanese which is why I think Oda uses them a lot). The central spot in shitenno is Taishakuten and represented by the planet of Venus. Taishakuten kind of acts as the leader of the Shitenno too which fits with Nasujuro wearing a different outfit.
The other gorosei fit pretty well but not 100% it also works with the 5 dots of WG logo.
As for Kohryu being the upgrade to Kaidos devil fruit, I think that’s one possibility but Ryujin who was the most predominant Dragon deity who also was the ancestor to the Emperor of Japan makes more sense to me than bringing in the auspicious beasts since those 5 beasts represented balance so making Kaido’s fruit a downgrade to the Gold dragon, which was just 1 of the 5 beasts feels to me like we’re ignoring the other 3 beasts from the equation.
Of course Kaido was the azure dragon and so was a nod to the beasts but I don’t think that means that his upgrade would be the central dragon.
But hey maybe I’m being narrow minded here. You might be right! Just don’t think either options are “definitely” wrong or right since Oda often mixes various stories together anyway.
I also believe that Im is a reference to Yimir the hermaphroditic creator god of Norse folklore
I think Ymir for sure is SUCH an interesting discussion point for characters in One Piece. I can't wait for Elbaf to get more clues about this. I for one hope that Usopp will gain a Fenrir companion!

Yeah that hidden face is super interesting isn't it. I know it's pretty basic but I think that's Shanks' twin brother. I know that's what everyone's been saying but the whole twin thing is something I've been thinking about for years so it's hard for me to not see it that way. I mean the first location in the grandline was Twin Cape you know what I mean?

Everything imu and the WG have named as demons or devils. Are the exact opposite.
I'm assuming. Imu is so sort of actual devil manifesting in a winger dragon.
As for who or what IMU even is.
It's hard to say.
Can't tell the person height.
Could be a pointed hat. Could be a weird shaped head.
The arms. Bend at a weird angle where the eblow would be.
And it appeared like it's hand. Is 2 fingers? But without a palm? It splits kinda where the wrist is.
Could also just be a damn glove......
I think its likely.

The same one is used for all winged dragons. And serpent dragons.
The dragon based attacks zoro has.
Kaido. Momo. Luffies dad. Ryuma the dragon slayer.
Same symbol.
When IMU and The celestial dragons are mentioned. It's the winged dragon symbol.
Same meaning.
But its oda hinting at something
Imu is Not the man marked by flames and makes 0 sense naritively. So Imu has just been sailing around the ocean baiting pirates? So outlandish he never leaves the garden. The WG does not have the poneglyph…. If the WG did invade fishman Island with that intention, there would be many deaths and Neptune would retaliate…. But as we saw fishman island was just fine. So the one who has the poneglyph left on Peacefull terms indicating he’s a friend. Y’all should really go read the ace novel adaptation it is 100% Cannon.

Nice theory, Kuslando! I believe the 'man with the burn scar' is Dracule Mihawk. Why? ...becuz Zoro left a clue when he fought Mihawk : 'Scars on the back are a swordsman's shame.'
This maybe a subtle hint that mihawk has scar on his back, which is why we haven't seen it yet.. scar on back also represent betrayal, a backstab. Oda even hinted at this in an SBS..
Additionally, Mihawk was shown to create whirlpools during the Baratie arc. Another reason I think it's Mihawk is that if he possesses the 4th Road Poneglyph, it would give Zoro a compelling reason to fight and defeat him, eventually handing the Poneglyph to Luffy..

@@kusoland Imu is a good choice. I just think that if he fights Luffy, it should happen after Luffy finds the One Piece. Mihawk possessing the 4th poneglyph doesn't necessarily mean he's looking for the One Piece treasure (even though him joining Cross Guild may suggest he is). Consider this: Mihawk is searching for a stronger opponent to fight, so he keeps the 4th poneglyph because whoever seeks it would be a formidable, worthy opponent for him..

The whirlpools you mention is awesome call back from the time the only DF power we were shown were that of the Strongest title holders. Whitebeards Queck fruit (tsunami ) and Kaido's Boro breath( a Shogun figure spitting fire) Now Mihawk guarding the Final Poneglyph makes some sence as to why he and Shanks fought so regularly, but other than his Warlord status which would confirm Shiryu idea about Goverment involvement the chances are incredibly low. Personally I subscribe to the Good ol' Scorched Gabban theory of Oro Jackson catching fire from the hatching Egg that resident upon it , or the newly introduced ex Warlord that Ace bear (Lizardking) .[Father of Ulti and Page1]

I agree that Dragon needs to have an integral role to play for the pay off since Oda has built him up so much and also because hush hush but theory time... Dragon's face tattoo represents the 3 of Spades. The lowest ranked card in many card games. But what happens when the whole world gets flipped upside down at the end of the story? Oda references card games a lot as you probably know so I feel like this would be a fun theory to go into one day.

Yes I did know that Draco is Latin for dragon which Dracul the Romanian word came from meaning devil! I've thought Imu was a dragon since we saw the silhouette of him/her and the Goresei with Sabo. The portion of Imu we see looks like the snout of a dragon.

yes exactly! There's a scene where he's also drinking black coffee as well. I had a loose theory about characters whose favourite drinks were either coffee of alcohol but I wonder how deep Drunk Piece goes

@@SoZo They keep calling him Imu sei, sei meaning a guy Saint. It might be something complicated like he's a man in a woman's body or an androgynous figure. At the end of the day, it's a shonen manga targeted to boys so it seems more likely. Probably wouldn't want to overlap Kishimoto sensei too much either with another final female villain especially since the two villains have similar traits. There's also been a lot of hints at 3 brothers so I've always had it in my head that it would be interesting if Imu was Joyboy's brother
