The day time photos on Redmi's main camera actually better than the iphone on some of them, while the rest is about on par actually. As for other category, it's mostly a landslide for the iphone unsurprisingly.
I think the fact that a camera nowhere near flagship status and older did well against a stronger camera is saying something. Considering the Redmi is $284 right now on Aliexpress and the Iphone is $1099 says a lot about what you actually need and what a good value it is especially if it's an upgrade of an older phone, you can always upgrade your phone every two years and avoid launch prices and always get better and better as midrange/flagship killers improve as tech does. sub $1k prices you will always have a tradeoff, either great specs/poor camera or vice versa. Until you get into $700 range will you start to get both equally. The other issue is finding the good import phones online and then getting them to work on US networks.
At 4K30, I actually preferred the Redmi for actual video quality (stabilisation aside). iPhone looked a bit over exposed in some areas (look at the dried out dirt areas of the grass under the trees). If nothing else, it gave us a good idea of how much cropping is applied on the iPhone to achieve the EIS. Nice work mate 🙌

Video on iphone is perfect, no other phone can make videos like iphone, even flagships like S23 ultra. In good lighting note 12 pro plus is good enough for pictures.
I have the feeling that Xiaomi and Samsung are neglecting the middle class. No 4K with EIS. My Poco F3 is much better in 4K with EIS. I prefer to wait for the Poco F5. Redmi smartphones have become too expensive for what they offer.

I have the Xiaomi 11T Pro. The main issue with this phone I have since new, after about 2 months in use, when using that 120w charger it's after messing up my display, when over heating from charging sometimes my display malfunctions , flickering like crashing, the battery drains too quick lately I've noticed soon as it gets to 64% it drops to 0 in 10 mins, I have this device 12 months now and it's my first Xiaomi device I bought . I'm considering switching to the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus. Should I switch????

Its so pity Redmi has no proper 4K stabilization. FHD 60 is completely missing one. I would rather go with Galaxy A54 for almost same price and get a nice stable 4K video.

Ois works at all resolutions. OIS is a hardware feature, not a software feature. To get better video stabilization you need a combination of OIS and EIS

Redmi Note 12 Pro+, so far the camera is excellent for a mid range phone category.
There's one thing that stood out immediately in this video - Redmi's microphone is superior! Surprisingly clear and louder.
