  • Every year, the WTO opens its doors to a group of qualified young professionals from developing and least-developed country members of the WTO that are under-represented in the Secretariat.
The Young Professionals Programme (YPP) is a unique opportunity for young people to work with WTO officials and gain hands-on experience which can lead to future professional opportunities in the field of multilateral diplomacy and global trade.
In 2021, 14 young professionals were selected from more than 2,400 candidates following a competitive selection process. Since its inauguration in 2017, nearly 60 professionals have participated in the programme.
