    Platforms like RUclips are accelerating the spread of human knowledge and the expansion of our minds. And people like you are fanning the spread. Thank you!
    And thanks to your guide, I was able to knock out 1,024 variations just as easily as doing 5 or 10.

    How do you add icons to a font, and is it possible to make them full color?

      I'm dying to know the answer as well to this question

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  3 года назад +3

      You can't add color fonts. I did add the black and white glyphs to the font with a program called FontCreator. I then manually place colored icons over the spots where the glyphs are. Its not a great system, but having the icon in the font at least reserves the right spacing.

    Because it's to difficult to edit every cards for minor design change.

      I’m developing an easy to use card generator for my game Shardforge, might take a while but I’ll probably release it for general use when it’s done so people can use it for their own games

    Anyone know how to handle differently sized images? Is there a way to auto resize them to fit your cards?

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  Год назад +3

      The 'fit' option under Pixel Replacement when you define a variable should make any sized image be scaled to the pixel bounds of the Layer you are making a pixel replacement.

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  Год назад +1

      You need to make these layers yourself based on a template you get from your print service. You can see I turned them on and off
      in the video.

    How can I print the cards? Great tutorial!

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  4 года назад +2

      I print using my Canon Pixma Pro100 inkjet on either photo paper if I am sleaving the cards, or to sticker paper if I need to apply the art for player boards to matte board. I then cut out the cards with a straight edge and an Olfa knife on a cutting matte. Maybe I can do a video. 8)

    How would you get your text to automatically wrap?

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  3 года назад +1

      With the text tool, you click and DRAG to define a marquee area instead of just clicking.

    So this is awesome and all, but how i have to take my hundreds of psds it now created and save them one at a time as images. Why can't the dataset export as pngs or something? How would I do that quickly?

    • @reapinwombat
      @reapinwombat  Год назад

      I use a program called Sagethumbs. Its a free Windows context extension. It lets you right-click on a file in windows and convert it to PNG, jpg, etc. You can select a bunch of images at a time too. Now it may struggle with 100's of images. There are other programs that can batch convert, including Photoshop.

      I'll definitely give it a try. At least the calc-part should work because saving a spread sheet as .csv is not a problem.
