October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. While colleges continue to improve prevention and response efforts on campus, innovative educational tools are still needed to reach students. Join Clery Center and Break the Cycle for a webinar sharing a new dating violence prevention film. The film is the first product from Clery Center’s Kristin’s Krusade Initiative honoring Kristin Mitchell who was murdered by her ex-boyfriend 20 days after her college graduation.
Central to the film are interviews with people deeply impacted by dating violence. The film is designed to:
Help the campus community identify problematic behaviors someone may be experiencing, engaging in, or observing and what makes them dating violence
Offer practical strategies for bystander intervention and how to access resources; and
Provide examples of healthy communication and relationship behaviors.
This webinar will provide information on how to access this free resource and the accompanying educational materials and how they can be used to complement existing prevention efforts on campus.
