I beat all the super bosses in every single non mmo final fantasy in existence. Same for bravely default 1 and 2, golden sun etc etc .... but this guy, this boss , this dude, OMFG
I think the thing with this boss is the gap in difficulty between him and any previous bosses is just gigantic, nothing in the game prepare you for this, even the 8 bosses you have to face before it are complete pushovers compare to him, so yeah unless you follow a guide for OP Builds you are pretty much guaranteed to get wipe the first time you reach him. Also the fact that many players were focusing on 4 members and ignore the 4 other, and this is litteraly the only moment in the game where it forces you to play all 8 travelers, so obviously player that were only playing 4 members got screwed by that.
Exactly that, i just finished my second playthrough because the first time i could not finish this final boss. Yeah, that's my main gripe ultimately with the systems design of the game. Thankfully it doesn't reach this extreme with any of the main story battles so it's never magnified there to the point where it's a problem, but as soon as I looked up the strategies for what it took to beat this guy I have to admit that I just threw up my hands and decided to be content with watching other people do it; I simply don't have the time to mess with that kind of approach and even if I did it wouldn't really feel satisfying at all considering, as you indicated, it seems the devs more or less built this boss *expecting* you to gimmick your way to victory over it (that or do an obscene amount of grinding first). Furthermore, it doesn't help that the apparent amount of effort that was put into this endgame content is a cause for considerable confusion. I mean, why go through all this work to create an impactful setpiece, complete with unique assets and a plot constructed by several subtle, converging points, and get all of the characters to unite in a seemingly canonical fashion *but then not have them utter a single word of dialogue to each other throughout the entire thing?* It's just baffling to consider. I one shot the second stage with the 1hp olberic build, most satisfying thing I've done. As for the first stage, I dohter charity ophelia who auspices tressa and cyrus for ventus saltare and balogars blade, such a fun strat
In the gate of finis boss rush phase you receive a few jams. I never really saw an amazing place to find them other than sidequests + chests in higher level dungeons.
You can steal energizing pomgrenate (L) from the golem type enemies that's spawn once per 1000 fight... There can be found at various place but there is one in the forest of purgation but there as hard to encounter as the caits! The jam that restore all including BP can also be stolen from a certain enemy somewhere but it's also hard to get..... Those item are pretty much the game changer against galdera when you cast dohter's charity!
This was super helpful. I spent a good chunk of the day trying to kill this guy, and I finally succeeded on the 3rd attempt. At one point in the second phase of the kill attempt, Olberic was taking a knee and the other 3 were dead...somehow it worked out. Thank you for the tips!
Your setup sounds pretty airtight tbh. One question though: What is your Primrose's skillset? She's missing from the list in the description. Same thing for your Therion's equipment?
Quizzle No worries! You’re making great content for us here! When you get the chance, can you take a look at Therion’s equipment again though? It looks like it was copied from Primrose by mistake. Thief + Merchant doesn’t have a slot for the Wizard’s Rod 😅
I managed to beat this boss on my first attempt and took my time planning my moves out. The first phase was pretty hard and nerve racking. I thought after the boss consumed the 3 bodies in the 1st phase meant I had to start from the beginning but I was wrong and killed it 2 turns later. It took about 45 minutes for me. The 2nd phase on the other hand was really really easy and defeated it in 15 minutes. I for the most part followed you builds but changed a few to fit my liking. I prefer H'aanit Warmaster as she is disgusting good with the best weapons. Thanks.
I must be doing something wrong but i have more level and way better equipment. The strongest in the game but somehow he keeps spawning those random bodies... i like the fight but the simple fact that i have to start all over again doing all 8 bosses is insane!
I fucking hate this fight. Without fail, when I've broken two of those enemies in the first phase and am about to go to town on them, one will use "seal magic" on my Cyrus, leaving me completely fucked and without any offense for the next three turns. Is there any way to make sure Cyrus' magic doesn't get sealed? It's not silence, and I can't cure it with apothecary either.
Phew, I finally got it. Once I got past that bomb phase and I just got lucky with not getting my magic sealed, the rest of the fight was easy. Thanks for the guide :)
Do we must use all 8 chars to beat the final dungeon and the boss? Can we just use 4? I invested my best stuff into just 4 of them..... Can't imagine that I have to grind for another 4....
You are absolutely forced to use all 8 characters. Before the final fight, you're asked to split them into a Main Party and Secondary Party. The first phase is fought with the Main Party, the second phase with the Secondary Party. So yeah, you might want to beef up your bench team.
Yeah, it's kinda tedious. I had four members left behind in their 40's, so I had to grind them up to par with the rest. Even with a high leveled team, the boss is still fairly difficult in the second phase.
Okay, i managed to kill Galdera and finished the true ending. :) My teams have been distributed into 2 main damage dealers : h'aanit and Cyrus The rest of people are just buffing and healing... Voila :3
ThreechTHEdruid Unfortunately, you can't fight him again since the gate stays permanently shut. Only way to fight him again is having a save slot where you haven't beat it yet.
This fight is fucking ridiculous, and not in a good way. It doesn't help that you have to kill EVERY boss in the game each time you wipe. I don't see how they thought repeating a boss rush was a good idea. It doesn't add more weight to the consequence of dying.. it is just lame as hell, and is a huge bummer.
WTF.. you really beat the boss with lvl 55-60... im stuck at it and i have all characters at lvl 70+ :( some even at 80+ feels like im not gonna be able to beat it xD
All my characters were level 72-73 but I got nowhere during the second form. I attempted the universal sidestep but he nullified all buffs immediately and I simply couldn't recover. After managing a second max sidestep he started whipping out powerful element attacks that plucked off my party members. I tried to revive them, keep health up, and reload another max sidestep but it was a losing battle until he got the upper hand on the turns and sent me to my doom :(
Its been 5 years idk if youll ever see this but, Thank You.

Quizzle No worries! You’re making great content for us here! When you get the chance, can you take a look at Therion’s equipment again though? It looks like it was copied from Primrose by mistake. Thief + Merchant doesn’t have a slot for the Wizard’s Rod 😅
@@QuizzleDev It still says ffs under Therion's equipment....
Thanks.
Question! Anyone who defeated this. Does the game let you play after this, like it did after completing the chapters. Or is this the end?
I finished it with Ophilia the almighty cleric! 60 000 damage in 1 turn. Yep, my god-damned cleric cheesed it!
What is therions gear
So me
Not knowing how to tank
Instantly died on phase two
Dang
I finally did it. I beat Galdera
Im so pissed. He went before all my characters and i couldn't do shit while he obliterated us! Now i have to start all over
Thanks man
What are primrose’s skills its missing from the description
Patience Just fixed that. Apologies!
Quizzle its fine i assumed it was the same as ophillia and it was, also thnx for showing the build as i plan to use this later against this boss
@@QuizzleDev could you please clarify what Therion's equipment was instead of ffs?
What happen to you Quizzle ?!
where are you ? Bring that Window cheesing for Dbd !!
miss you men , take care
Does anyone know what happened to quizzes?!?! Kapxnxkrunch
So yeah, you might want to beef up your bench team.
oh my gosh....then I can imagine how tiresome the whole process would be.....thank you Courier!
Yeah, it's kinda tedious. I had four members left behind in their 40's, so I had to grind them up to par with the rest. Even with a high leveled team, the boss is still fairly difficult in the second phase.
Okay, i managed to kill Galdera and finished the true ending. :)
My teams have been distributed into 2 main damage dealers : h'aanit and Cyrus
The rest of people are just buffing and healing...
Voila :3
I really cant do it, not worth the no save
Just amazing end boss just got him down last night
But cant i fight him again?
ThreechTHEdruid Unfortunately, you can't fight him again since the gate stays permanently shut. Only way to fight him again is having a save slot where you haven't beat it yet.
yeah no save anymore =,( would be nice if they added way to fight him again was so epic battle
Do you have to beat all 8 shadow bosses again if you fail?
Amar K yes you can't save at all once you enter fenis gate.
This fight is fucking ridiculous, and not in a good way. It doesn't help that you have to kill EVERY boss in the game each time you wipe. I don't see how they thought repeating a boss rush was a good idea. It doesn't add more weight to the consequence of dying.. it is just lame as hell, and is a huge bummer.
just beat him after 4 tries and washed away my salt. feels good, but still fuck this boss.
WTF.. you really beat the boss with lvl 55-60... im stuck at it and i have all characters at lvl 70+ :( some even at 80+ feels like im not gonna be able to beat it xD
Thanks! Video was helpful... this fight was hard.
You thought this was helpful? What does he mean with the ffs under Therion? I'm trying to use this as a guide but can't figure this part out...
Beat it today yay
Can I save before this boss?
alternativo nope
All my characters were level 72-73 but I got nowhere during the second form. I attempted the universal sidestep but he nullified all buffs immediately and I simply couldn't recover. After managing a second max sidestep he started whipping out powerful element attacks that plucked off my party members. I tried to revive them, keep health up, and reload another max sidestep but it was a losing battle until he got the upper hand on the turns and sent me to my doom :(
Thanks you !!!!
I know about CatFish
What do you do when he turns you to stone? How do i stop my characters from dissapearig forever ;-;_
i used max gear at lv99 the fight took 9 min
i used your strats and it took 27
it took 67 hours to get 99 all
hi
I like the idea of the final boss but I still feel like it was to hide the fact that they got lazy/had to cut corners to get the game out..
