My friend, the circuit you created and the circuit you showed from google are slightly different.. but what you did is the correct way. Ive been checking around videos like this to make sure that the controlling unit is capable of generating DC for the SSR. I couldn't find this info at EBAY.
If you wire the A/C 220v to the SSR as shown in the schematic it will blow your house circuit breaker (hopefully). It takes the two lines and shorts them together via the SSR. Not good!
Have you any idea how inaccurate the temperature measuring is with this product? Tin melts at 449,42 °F....and according to the BERM REX C-100 the temperature was at 298.4 °F when it did....some tolerance, huh?
Hi, I'm using the same setup to control the temperature of a smoker. But for some reason the fan permanently stops at the set temperature. But it doesn't switch on automatically when it goes below the set temperature. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Also if I try to reconnect the output cable from the relay it will start to switch on the fan again. Any help please
yes, but your SSR will have to be more powerful... 4000w goes up to 40 Ampers, most SSR ( relays ) are coming only for 25A. The SSR will need a heatsink to discipate the heat, ok? Your wire will invitably need to be way thicker than that of the video.. if I'm not wrong, 40A will require a wire of approximately 6mm ( considering the ( hot plate ) is not really far away from the SSR. You need a little understanding of how the relay works to see that the load is not going through the controller.. The temperature controller is only turning the relay on and off according to the temperature limits you set.. the load is going through the relay ( SSR ) that is why it will need to resist the 40 ampers that your hot plate will take... got it ? so, good end connectors, soldering preferably, thick wires, a good heatsink ( and if you can use a cooler to give support to the heatsink of the SSR ) and you are good to go.
dear honourable madam, I'm talking from Bangladesh (South asian country). I want to you, please you use Bengali or English language. Because, this language is very complex....!!!
Gudday sir. How about i will use for cooling sir, all i need is 16-17 C means, 16C below it will turn-off and if 17C up it will turn-on. I will use as a switch(i will pluge my refrigerator) for restoring my pig semen. Thank u and God bles
Great strait forward Video! :) im adding PID to a countertop comercial pizza oven that had manual controls!

@irmux skeptic thank you, I already found it.
nice video it will help me now to fix my own pid controller on my powder coating oven.
Excelente vídeo y gran explicación saludos desde la CDMX (México)
Wow, great narration!
This worked great making my solder reflow oven!! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the video, Can I use AC to AC solid state relay instead of DC to AC ?
@@adeosunfirstman1246 I have no idea. Sorry :-/
Thank you, I wired my C100 as shown by you and works properly
bro what is max set temperature?
Thank you !! I was very skeptical that this little plastic box can receive 110volt input.
in germany it`s not allowed to connect PE with N. Also RCD dont like it.
Hi, why your lamp is off when you turn on the pid and switched off when you get the temperature? Shouldn't be the opposite way?

So, what controls ssr here if you connect both out wires to the net as input to controller? This will be short circuit directly to the electric source

maybe you are using the wrong thermo couple?
hi can you say me what parameters are on menu set+up buttoms after 3 seconds?

Hello what's this thermostat accuracy?
Pid can use for galley hot plate for 4 kW load

@@TeacherBrunoOneil He might be using 220V, 4000W is only about 20A in this case.
@@stephenho6007 that's true.
