In those close ups you can see that Karl's putts bounce at the start, which leads to inconsistent distance control. He could try to hit the ball more in the upswing to get it rolling immediately.
The beauty of me getting these videos is that his coach (Col Swatton now) get's to see what happens out there on the course as opposed to the practice green.
Paul would you agree with the ideology with having a coach on the bag? Would it not sometimes have an effect on the player where they start playing golf swing instead of targets and shots
Great your uploading again Karl big fan of your game. I’ve always said you will win the masters one day. You must be so proud of min woo lee and the success he has had on the European tour this season. Has he given you any advice on what to expect from tour life?? Are you and him going to be making a video anytime soon would love to se you and min woo lee vs GM golf with one of the good good guys. Cheap up the hard work it’s going to pay off your destin to be a superstar 👍🏻 merry Christmas 🎄 and a happy new year from the uk 🇬🇧
Might be something in this footage to work from. The good drive on the 8th hole vs some of the others side by side i see some differences. On the 8th the drive looked to have less movement in the lower half of the body, untill after the ball was struck. If you then compare back to Karl's more junior days, the swing was significantly smoother with even less movement. Keeping it simple and using all of what he had growing up, taking a step back and using slightly less power, could bring back something more consistent to the table. Keep thing;s simple on gameday and only use the fancy shots when in tough situations or training of-course for those tougher situations. Box breathing + something positive to focus on whilst doing it or even during visualization i believe could help settle Karl down a bit as-well between holes etc, to help relieve frustration + clear the mind and body of any bad energy/stress etc faster (navy seals etc use this in combat). Just my 2 cents. Love the videos as always. Cheers
Good question, and yes, I have actually gone into all the permutations involved in running a 2nd mic. You'd think it'd be as easy as connecting a splitter and running both mic's into the same socket, but alas, it's not the case. I need to buy what equates to an mixer which would attach to the camera and from there I would run the 2 mics in. Cost- around $800 by the time it's all done. Ouch! You guys are just going to have to put up with my creepy phone stalker whisper for a while longer.
I hate to say this, BUT, I think Karl would do better to try out for at least the Korn Ferry Tour... SOON... He is a golfer and a competitor.. AND, I think the COACHING he is getting from these college guys is NOT HELPING HIM ON BIT..... In my opinion, IF HE IS PLAYING FOR MONEY, he will LEARN the game to EARN FAME AND FORTUNE.... It is a different game on the TOUR... He will quickly IMPROVE in many ways...
That's a good point you make and in year's gone by we'd have had Karl turning pro before his 3rd year of college. However, the PGA Tour University has been a game changer, with the top 7 College Seniors each earning a KF Tour Card each year now. Add to that the fact that Karl has very recently come under Col Swatton's tutelage, he'll not only look more and more like Jason Day, but will have the guy that took Jason to the top. Karl's results this semester are light-year's better than the previous semester.
I would be so interested in some practice videos, doesn’t need to be anything fancy just a tripod and Karl practicing!!

Have you considered buying a clip on microphone? Love the videos but it's very difficult to hear your commentary

Looking like a young Brooks Koepka these days
Yep, Karl's a unit, that's for sure.

@@KarlGolf Let him enjoy a bit of the College experience, Dad! Who is to say that surrounding yourself around other driven players doesn't help you...
