Yes I can. It's pretty easy. Just runs a 99-02 throttle cable, take a step bit to the factory square throttle hole on firewall, drill it just a tad bigger than the square, then in the cab just cut a slit in the top of the pedal and slide the cable in. And your Done
Nice truck, I love your cheap patina paint job and I’m going to try it myself on my 72. Did you finish the paint yet? I’d like to see a video of the finished product.
I never finished sanding it down. I took to a car show and a guy bought the truck off me. I have another 72 c10 I been working ill start posting progress of that here soon
That be fun. I have dealt with plenty of rust in mine. Floors are common to be bad. If the rust goes past the cab mounts on the supports it takes alot more time to fix. If it has upper windshield rust I usually pass on them.
I havent done it but from the reading I have done, yes you can. Just cut the pig tails off with the cluster and run the wires from the back of the cluster straight to the ecu. The oil guage don't run thru the ecu so have to run that straight to sensor. Gas guage have to run straigh to fuel tank.
That’s a sweet pickup, I have watched this video a few times just to try and soak it all in, thanks for the detailed explanation , I would like to know more about the hydro boost break system you got going on and the radiator adapter
Radiator adapter is ict billet 1 1/2 to 1 1/4. Hydroboost is stock one out of 01 2500. Flip the mount plate drilled new holes, the brake rod i cut off and welded on a adjustable brake rod end. Hoses are factory 01 hoses with cpp adapter to power steering box. I used stock 72 return hose from steering box to pump. Hydroboost is the way to go for brakes stops on a dime
@@Joe_Jackstands I know, my only vehicle is a light blue/white 65 C10 with a LS swap, it's difficult to keep it all going being elderly, alone & poor, the battery died today, I'm trying to figure out how to afford another battery and how to go pick one up.
For hydro boost i used factory 01 line on pressure side with a cpp adapter fitting. Fitting was a flare to oring adapter. The return is low pressure so I used the 72 fitting to rubber hose for return. The brake lines off the master cyclinder,I used pre-made lines from advance auto parts to the adjustable proportioning valve. The adjustable valve came with adapters i used to adapt my factory lines.
If you don't use 73 to 87 mounts, the ac compressor won't fit in the engine's original location? What do the 73 to 87 mounts do? Raise the engine, move it forward? Both? Compared to the 67 to 72?
In my option ..The 73-87 are just a better design. They have more bushing in the mounts easier to get the bolts in/out and just all around easier to work with. I used the tejas mounts for 73-87 so it places motor in factory location just a little higher to clear Ls oil pan and ac compressor. You can run the 67-72 mounts with adapter plates but motor will set lower and oil pan will be about 2 inches below crossmember. The tejas mounts werent to much more and kept me from buying a 200 oil pan and opened up a oem location on the motor so I wouldn't have to buy a aftermarket ac bracket to work.
What power steering pump are you using? I have a 6.0 and doing a power steering conversion on my 68, but my engine didnt come with front accecories, which power steering pump could I use the express van ones show they dont come with resovouir
Mine is a stock hydro boost pump off a 2001 2500hd. If your not running hydro boost then a truck one will work just fine. A van should be the same as a truck
@@Joe_Jackstands amazing, your walk around helped a lot, I’m planning to start my build next week will let you know how it goes, planning on doing a 6.2 with a 6l80
I bought a sheet of 18g sheet metal. I got some construction paper sheet at walmert. but it against the cab got my lines, cut it out with scissors and then transfer it to the 18g sheet metal. took some sheet metal screws held it in place and took a cut off wheel followed my pattern and tac welded it all in as i went.
Good job my friend.. i’m thinking to do the swap on my truck.. What transmission are you running on it.. can you please let me know thank you for your time. Also How difficult is the wiring?
I'm running the 4l80e out of a 2001 2500hd. Wiring isn't that bad. I have made a bunch of harness now and just have to follow the write up on lt1swap.com to make a standalone. The rest the guages are just manual guages so just tap a spot into your motor run the lines for the guages. I used sun pro guages. I have no speedo but I use my phone for that.

3/5 drop springs and ridler 695 20x8 front and 20x10 rear. I forgot the tire sizes

What did you mean by $30 motors mounts? I have a 72 and we have just started on the swap. I want to do the mounts as cheap as possible
The $30 mounts are just the adapter plates to your stock mounts and brackets. On this one I did the tejas mounts and 73-87 frame towers
Cheap amazon adapters are 26$
I found some square body frame stands based off your video in a scrap yard. What radiator and fan setup is that?
The radiator and fans where a cheap aluminum radiator off ebay that came with fans on it. It was $150 at that time for it.
@ nice. 3 row? Guess search for 67-72 aluminum radiator on there. I'll be putting a 6l80 in mine
@TurboTA89 yes it was a 3 row

Great build and my favorite chev color. How do you get into manual 1st with column shifter and 4l80?? I assume the original trans was 3 spd?
