Well, you've done it again. What an amazing card. I saw someone else paint on these 3D embossing folders and so tried it. I used pearlized paints and did flowers on both cards. They came out lovely and was very proud of myself for accomplishing that. Thanks so much for your beautiful card. Makes me want to get out my embossing folders. Working on diamond painting right now.

Awesome card, Caly! And actually, watercolor can be very controlled and still beautiful. I honestly don't know why "everyone" (at least in the papercrafting world) seems to think watercolor can only be loose and washy. In reality, I have seen some very beautiful tightly-controlled paintings. It's all about personal style. So don't think you're being disingenuous to the medium. :) Anyway, I love how you did the painting, & thank you for the detailed instruction. Take care, & have a wonderful day! :)

Your card is so beautiful. I don’t think I have ever seen anyone watercolor on an embossed image on an embossing folder either. It sure is gorgeous. You might have just started a new craze. Lol. That 3D embossing folder is so pretty. I don’t have any of these so I’m going to try doing this technique with just the normal folders. Great tutorial.

@simonsays, the music is very loud on your videos. It makes me hesitate to click onto them because I know I’m in for a jarring experience, and then I have to wait for the person start to talk and readjust sound. Just thought you might appreciate the feed back.

I have tried to paint cards that were embossed before, only to have the water run off of the image. I like your technique a lot! I have painted on the debossed side. It's easy for me--since I don't have any wayercoloring skills---yet!
Yes, making sure that your brush doesn't have too much water takes practice!
