- This is my first shot 3D surface engraving with the xTool P2 55W C02 machine. I was just able to get my hands on a version of xTool's Creative Space that included the 3D curved surface engraving capabilities. As an added bonus the new version of creative space will also include layers for the first time! Take a look and see how it worked for me.

Very cool technology, I think I'll wait for the xTool P2-II and let them work out all the kinks.
Thanks. Looking forward to seeing more.
Great review, thanks!!
Thank you!
looking forward to not having to screw around with the rotary. And the z-axis adjust on the slope would probably have saved me a lot of grief when my 20watt encountered a slightly warped board - if i'm understanding that correctly. thanks for the vid
Nice video 👍 will you be doing a full review on the machine as a whole? In your limited time with it so far how does it compare to the Gweike Pro in your opinion?
I will be doing a more comprehensive review of the whole thing but since things have been coming online in pieces I wanted to get some stuff out as it’s available to me. The Gweike Cloud is also a nice machine but is a bit louder and I feel like the build quality and smoke exhaust of the P2 is nicer. Plus with the 3D engraving that could be a bit of game changer between the 2 machines.
Thank you for this video (looking forward to a full review tho 🤞) Weird how the mapping of the sides of the bowel were too steep (when the ukulele xTool showed being engraved on seemed just as steep 🤷♂️) A bit worrying that the shifting happened for no apparent reason too 🤔 Love that xcs seems to be getting regular updates 😏
The bowl does get pretty steep so it’s definitely a sharper angle then the ukulele. I have no idea why that shift was happened as it didn’t happen on the others. Maybe the air assist nozzle nudged the piece when I wasn’t looking but it’s just odd that it happened in the middle both times I did it. I do like seeing the XCS updates and very excited to try out those layers for sure.
where can I get that design at
its good for engraving tumblers? 👋
You can use a full rotary as well with the machine but if you don't have one you can at least do I would say 40% of one side without a rotary.
Fantastic video I’m looking and learning before I pull the trigger
Groovy.
