    @6:00 I love your term "minuet pattern." I've been telling my students that pattern often happens in minuets but I didn't have such a concise name for it.

    @1:24 I'm going to disagree with you saying it's not contrapuntal. It doesn't use imitation, the way an invention or fugue would. But the definition of counterpoint is two or more independent voices, not necessarily imitation.

      Yes, you’re right. It is contrapuntal in the sense that it is two independent lines, but not following the rules that one must in a fugue, or as you said, using imitation. I just find it helpful to note when the counterpoint is functioning more as harmonic support, such as in this piece - much easier to play than something more imitative like an invention.
