This additive is intended for intensive farming. Several additives, including this one are specifically banned from use with pasture raised meat and dairy cattle. It is mega agriculture that wants this stuff. Eat less meat is the message from many and includes the message don’t use additives like this to avoid having to eat less meat and consume less dairy. Therefore the Guardian and the BBC are against the leftist view on this one and are supporting mega agriculture.
Just been on the Arla website and read their statemement about Bovaer. They say it's harmless (which of course they would), however, it does say in it's pure form it is corrosive to the eyes, a skin irritant and can be harmful if inhaled, but at the point of being given to the cows, is fine....! Firstly, blaming cows for climate change is ridiculous and secondly, anything that is corrosive to eyes etc is not what we should be giving to cows or anyone else for that matter. Absolute madness!
Exactly. Mucus membranes must be more sensitive than skin? Sounds like cruelty to me, I'd have thought the veterinary profession should be looking into it.
It really depends how far you are willing to look and go for the sake of your own health. Fluoride and also aspartame are also both listed as toxic in large quantities.
how it is safe for cows, is my question. and it if burns eyes/skin, then logically is would significantly increases inflammation in the animals. If there if inflammation in the animals, ESPECIALLY in their gut biome, the nutritional value of milk would suffer significantly. Does that make sense?
That depends. If you say that the feed additive for methane reduction is a health risk, then that is misinformation. You don't know that it is, or even may be! DSM and others have carried out the trials over years and published their results. This is an additional cost to the industry, so I see no reason they would introduce a hazard to health unless it had some knock-on benefit, and harming customers is not a benefit. If you can tell me why the dairy industry would add more cost into their production for no good reason then I'm all ears, please... let me know.
Cow’s belch methane, however, they do not produce it. Methane is produced in the rumen through multiple layers of biological activity. Thank you so much for covering this. Arla did this originally because of the new rules in Denmark. Now, what worried me is that they are getting this into the mix before the UK put tax on every cow in the UK, the way they were going to in Denmark if this product wasn't used. It pushed farmers into a corner. I use some alterative products but that is because I have a choice. Everybody should have a choice and not be pressed into eating/drinking non dairy - which, incidentally, is what the government is striving for. It is a very difficult situation of pushing people exactly where they want people to go by getting us to disagree with something. The Bowler Hat farmer is also doing a huge amount on this dodgy product. Let's face it, they all said glyphosate was good, even though in 2022 it was almost a banned product, but the shareholders kicked off so much they carried on using it and it is now said to be the modern DDT.

Billy boy was injecting cows with mRNA vaccines, working with Edinburgh University, a couple of years ago but I haven't come across any further info to date. However, I do know that he was requesting, at the time, that the cattle could be still classified as organic [I know crazy what?] and, again, I haven't heard anything since. Seems they are determined to poison us one way or another?
Sadly that's no guarantee - not all organic milk may be Bovaer-free. If a dairy company sources milk from non-organic farms or uses a blend of organic and non-organic milk, there’s a possibility that Bovaer could be present. To ensure Bovaer-free organic milk, consumers should look for certifications from reputable organizations like the Soil Association or seek out producers that explicitly state their commitment to organic principles and Bovaer-free practices.
@@goldeneddie There seems to be a lot of conflicting advice at the moment . I can’t remember where but I’ve read in two places that all British organic is Bovaer free because it wouldn’t meet organic standards . Just shows that you have to do your own research however well intentioned other people are. Thanks I’ll check it out .
@@SarahWalker-Smith Yes, fair enough it's good to check for yourself. Here's the info I've gathered so far: 1. The label 'organic' means that 95% of the ingredients are organic and must have Certification and codes showing origins. 2. In the UK, the label “organic” on milk _does not imply or guarantee a specific pasteurization process_ at all. The focus of the organic label is on the farming methods, animal welfare, and environmental practices used to produce the milk, rather than the processing or pasteurization techniques applied to the milk. This means that organic milk in the UK may still undergo pasteurization, but the label “organic” does not provide information about the pasteurization process. 3. I can't find anywhere any restrictions on 'organically fed' cows only grazing in fields that have not been used by other cows in the trial, which could mean cows grazing grass in fields containing the urine and faeces of trial cows.

Watch out. Arla also did a deal with M&S, but that is not being widely advertised. I contacted the company and they admitted their cattle are given bovaer. They went on and on about the environment.
All dairy products have a code on the packaging. You can look up this code and it will tell you the name of the producer. Also useful as you can tell if the named brand is the same as the own brand. Bought yoghurt last week. Asda own brand and from code it was produced by Yeo Valley Organic. Yes thats an Arla Brand

Exactly. Because it's not about methane or 'saving the planet'. DSM The company who makes Bovaer also partners with a 'meat alternative' company making synthetic protein. @budgetcookinguk Longley farm products are Bovaer free, so if you want cream try theirs. It is the best cream you will ever buy!
Why did the shareholders kick off
@@nicklawrence6865 Because if the product had lost its licence they would have lost millions of dollars, it doesn't matter how much damage the product is doing to people, and land. If you are interested there is a book called Toxic Legacy which is amazing. It isn't hard going like some.
@@nicklawrence6865 someone farted
I use organic supported by soil association who are quite thorough. What worries me is if they force this crap into the cows then us by taxing as a punishment . It would no longer be classed as organic of course and 😢 then what. Poor cows goodness knows what discomfort they may have. I don't believe that it doesn't enter the milk. Is that going to do something to our digestion. Man interfering with God's perfect design on bodies never works out well
@@nicklawrence6865 Because Monsanto who sold it to Bayer are all dodgy go watch The world According to Monsanto and see the tricks they got up to.
There motto is all about the dollar not about health or planet just there pockets.
I’m reading everything now! There’s so many different products that are affected! I didn’t realise that Muller was connected to Arla.
neither did I, and its in cadburys chocolate ,
Nether did I I've bought organic milk from aldi
Neither did I was just looking on the bottle I got from the corner shop
They are separate companies that are in competition and have their own groups of farms, collected by different transport.
Who told you they are?
This will end up as a nice boost for the farm shop outlets, now that the supermarket choice is almost non existent regarding preferred alternatives. I would imagine that if many of these dairy products are the norm at all convenient outlets, then most UHT milk is too. This is the type that I use because it doesn't need storing in a fridge using electricity to keep it cold. Thank you for the video and I shop Aldi and Lidl too.
Very useful and informative video, thank you.
Hello, Thank you so much for HIGHLIGHTING this additive.
I had a note from my milk supplier to assure me that their milk is bovoar free.
That's great Jenny🐮👍💕Lots of milk suppliers are responding assuring customers of their bovaer free status. Shows consumer reaction is having an impact
Jennygunston dontbworry a bit about bovoar in cattle feed ! Take a look at how grain used in your bread flour etc is stored ? It’s covered in PESTICIDE @ND STORED IN HUGE SILOS FOR YEARS ,
Very useful information. thanks & keep it up.
Thank you Kerry, your information is really helpful
Glad it was helpful😀👍💕🐮🐮
I went to Tesc@ and asd@ and both places only sold their own brand and it was all produced by arla!!! So I travelled a few miles to a milk shack, which I will carry on doing as they sell raw milk which I prefer.
FOLKS JUST SAY NO TO BOVAER RESIDUED MILK !! 😮😮😢😢
STICK TO THE GOOD OLD WHOLESOME MILK . . .
JUST DEMAND PURE . . .
FULL - FART - MILK !!
😊😊😅😅😂😂😂😊😊
😂😂😂
Pure, with up to one per cent pus!
Great to see citizen journalists well done
Thank you for educating me! I've boycotted Arla but wasn't aware that Muller was associated with Arla. Another one off my list. ❤😮
No problem 🐮👍💕I've just found this www.google.com/amp/s/www.edie.net/tesco-arla-and-muller-collaborate-to-cut-dairy-farm-emissions/%3famp=true
It’s a minefield! They should be made to put it on the label if they are using it…. I’ve had to go organic if I cant get the dairy I know is safe.
organic is not free of it
@ according to the soil association it holds 3 ingredients that can not be used in organic foods.
@@AlisonJCIt is if it's certified by the Soil Association. They do not allow it.
@@AlisonJCI contacted the Soil Association and they’re not allowed to put organic on products with Bovaer
Check the bottom of the bottles, I've seen them with arla embossed on the bottom.
Spoke to a shop assistant she didn’t have a clue what I was talked king about
Very helpful, thank you for your efforts !
Thank you Gareth🐮👍💕
Thank you Kerry for this information x
Thanks Kerry for keeping us in the loop❤
It's a pleasure Karen🐮💕💕
Thank you very much for your research. I share your liking for Greek yoghurt & mature cheddar cheese & would seriously like to eat them additive-free. Glad Wyke Farms is one of the good guys.
I now go and get mine from the machine from the farm and food from the farm shop. ❤
Thanks for sharing! Your video was suggested to me. I didn’t realise this was happening but I’ll know what to look for.
Thank you so much for sharing this information ❤
I´m in Germany and I never buy Müller anything..for other reasons. The problem is this stuff is not only in dairy products.Best to check all meat too.Good lass Kerry X
cant be given to beef cattle due to fertility issues.
@@AlisonJC Thanks.
@@AlisonJCwait. So why are we humans given it through the milk???????????? Something seriously wrong and out of sink here!
We have a lot of muller dairy stuff in the UK. whats wrong with it?
@@annother3350 Nothing. My beef with Müller is due to some bad politics from them... years ago.
Thanks very much for doing this . I’m buying organic at the moment.
Here's the info I've gathered so far:
Thanks for this. Valuable info much appreciated. ❤
I get that extra mature cheddar regularly, very nice taste so I'm pleased about your findings!
That Somerset butter with salt in is well nice
It’s made by Wyke farm
I appreciate your time doing this. Yesterday I wrote to the makers of Cathedral City cheeses and asked them if any of their products contain milk from Bovere fed Cows, I will let you know if I get a response.
There are two comments on here to the effect that they don't.
@glendakirby5579 I have had a reply from Cathederal City and they don't currently use dairy farms that use Bovare in their cattle feed but they didn't know for sure about the future.
Can you make a list of everything that has got it in so we can all boycott their products 😁
Bought some raw milk on the way home from work last night. Had it for the first time with my cereal and a glass of it this morning. Wow what a difference. It really tastes like REAL milk and it's settled my stomach and esophagus and seems to have settled my IBS (irrital bowel syndrome) now it hasn't been long but i feel it's the way forward. I'm happy to sacrafice other things i buy to have the extra cash for real raw milk
Where do you get raw milk?
@annother3350 got it off a farm that sells raw milk. Its a little bit out of my way but worth it for sure
The taste of the raw milk changes with the seasons. It is fabulous in late spring when the cows are eating the clover.
Well done, thanks for checking this out. The milk shelves were bending with the weight of milk, looks like consumer confidence has taken a big hit. Subscribed, best wishes.
Thank you very much🐮💕💕Merry Christmas!🎄💕and thank you for subscribing!
Thankyou Kerry, I'm buying organic at the moment to be on the safe side.
I do too Heather if I cannot get hold of known bov free milk🤓👍🐮💕
If you look under the plastic organic bottles Arla is imprinted in it.
@sw-h They still can't label it as organic if it comes from herds fed this stuff so even Arla organic products should be OK.
Organic isnt necessarily safe... still check is my advice
@linm9598check what it says on the soil association website , Bovaer does not meet the organic standards.
Well done lady; thank you!
Another thing that I noticed when I was checking some Tesco brand milk, is that the bottom of the carton was actually embossed with the Arla name.
Dont buy it Tesco will put profit before people...
Same in Aldi even on their organic milk.
Interesting...@@andymaidment111
Thank you for your time and effory much appreciated
Thanks for your update.👍
Good reporting thank you for the arla up date 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Kerry for doing that the Lurpak butter says it's Danish milk but we don't know what's going on in Europe either 🌹🐈Xxxx
I watched another video that says Lurpak has it in
Lurpak is made by arla. I think arla is a Danish-swedish dairy farm co operative. I've quite a few screenshots you are welcome to as arla have many products. Happy to share🐮👍💕
@@budgetcookinguk Thank you xx
I've read that in europe Bovaer has been fed to cows for the last 10 years!
@linm9598 Thank you that's worrying xx
More than the issue with Bovaer, Arla seems to have a monopoly in the UK and that doesn't sit right with me
I'm against all big companies, too much power for them, too little choice for us. Support small and medium business.
Watch out. Arla also did a deal with M&S, but that is not being widely advertised. I contacted the company and they admitted their cattle are given bovaer. They went on and on about the environment.
And Waitrose
@@julietteshore1118 Waitrose confirmed to me that they are not using Bovaer.
Awful
All dairy products have a code on the packaging. You can look up this code and it will tell you the name of the producer. Also useful as you can tell if the named brand is the same as the own brand. Bought yoghurt last week. Asda own brand and from code it was produced by Yeo Valley Organic. Yes thats an Arla Brand
Yep Valley replied to my email and said their organic is free from additives . I know Arlar own some of the company but they have assured me that not their organic because not allowed to add to that . I am confused now with people saying boycott Yeo valley ! Anyone know more please ?
Where can you look up the code? I can't find anything except a US based thing.
@@ianjohn3574 Jesaloo! It's going to take
Hours to get my weekly shop.. I remember the outcry about Halah meat now we don't know what we are buying anywhere. Marks assured me their milk herds do not have the drug but am beginning to doubt everyone.
Hi Kerry, thanks for letting us know know👍🏻I’m buying organic but can we trust organic,it’s terrible all this 👍🏻
I just posted where to get organic additive free food from various stores. It also means cows not fed on pesticides, hormones or antibiotics..The milk from acorn dairy is beautiful..ask where they supply near you.
@ thanks Julie,I will check it out 😊
Thank you so much for what you are doing. It is extremely helpful ❤
I bought Bailey pouring cream in Tesco. I didn't check it. It says Arla Foods Ltd. You have to check every single dairy product carefully now.
Thanks very much for your efforts and updates.
You have every right to know what your eating,I agree👍
Thanks for checking! I’ve been sticking to Grahams Jersey milk & cream.
Well done.
Sainsbury`s as someone else has stated stocks Grahams Organic milk.
local Post Office has Chew Valley Milk which I believe is free from Bovaer.
Appreciate you sharing your research 👍
What i dont understand is why the efforts are being made to reduce methane when it only makes up 0.00017% of the atmosphere in the first place?
Exactly. Because it's not about methane or 'saving the planet'. DSM The company who makes Bovaer also partners with a 'meat alternative' company making synthetic protein. If people turn away from beef because they feel that cows are full of a toxin, then DSM makes money from their other investment - *Meatable* a _cultivated NON-NATURAL meat_ business. Follow the £$£$£$.
they want you eating bugs instead of beef
Depopulation is their end goal...
We are the carbon they want to reduce etc etc...
Thanks for your continued research on this big problem.
Would you happen to know anthing about Yeo valley organic produce.
Wyke as in bike. I've been there. It's in the middle of nowhere 😂 Good for the cows 👍

thanks for informative content - the way forward would be for Bovaer free farms to change packaging with huge labels BOVAER FREE !
Isuspect the milk is probably collected from farm by tanker, and bottled and labelled elsewhere, unless sold direct by the farm/Dairy.
Thank you for your intrepid reporting 🙏
Awesome stuff lass, keep it going, stay strong and stay safe
Never watched you before , thanks for that , it seems we have little choice if we are in a hurry or don’t have access to a local farm selling its own milk . How have we let ourselves be taken over and shoved in directions we don’t want to go in without our consent . S an aside , I have just been notified by my energy supplier my prices are going up again in the new year . What’s driving this , eco lunacy .
The World Economic Forum, part of the UN.

Good research. Well done 🙏🏻
Just subscribed. Thanks for doing this. I look forward to your vid on Sainsburys. I have contacted Graham's family dairies and asked them are they using Bovaer in their feed for cows. The automated response was that my message is logged and I will be contacted withing 5 days... so I look forward to that info as I like their Graham's golden top milk.

Graham's have confirmed on their social media that they do not use Bovaer in any of their products.
Graham's say there is no additives in their milk or butter or yogurts. I've always used their butter and managed to get some of their milk in Asda of all places.
I got the Same 5 day automated response and that was 8 days ago and heard nothing since

Another issue I raised with Trading Standards about 5 years ago and nothing has been done with my complaint, not even one reply was issue of supermarkets selling class C goods as class A in fresh fruits and vegetables.
Keep up the good work..... much appreciated ❤
Thank-you Kerry xx 😊
Thanks for what you're doing. All additives are insane, but this one surpasses every limits. Enough was enough long ago. End the madness.
Yogurt, cream, cheeses, chocolate, cakes, trifle, biscuits do we have to check anything with milk.
The latter things in that list will not tell you which milk is in it. Best bet, if you're that bothered by this issue, is to avoid any processed packet foods altogether and make your own at home with milk you are happy with.
I know Cadbury's are on the naughty list now
Thank you for your research and posting 👍❤️
