  • WARNING: This is not a new video! It is merely one video featuring two music clips, one for 'Jurassic Park' and another for 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park'.
    'JURASSIC PARK'
'Jurassic Park' (1993) is a science-fiction adventure film directed by Steven Spielberg. It was based on the bestselling novel by the late Michael Crichton.
The story is about a man named John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) who ownes an island of the coast of Costa Rica. Hammond, CEO of a company called InGen, has made use of advanced technology to recreate dinosaurs. On the island he has build a biological preserve, where people from all over the world can see these once extinct creatures. But first he has to test the safety of the park, therefore he invites a company of experts to be the first guests to Jurassic Park.
This film made use of, back then, brand new CGI technology to bring the dinosaurs to the silver screen. The filmmakers also made extensive use of Stan Winston's animatronics. Pretty much all of these effects still look as convincing as they did in 1993. However not only the effects were good. Spielberg also made every action scene an unforgettable thrill while still mantaining a sense of awe for these majestic prehistoric creatures. I tried to capture that sense of wonder for this video. Which wasn't hard when I got to use to amazing music by John Williams.
'Jurassic Park' and its music belong to Universal Pictures.
    'THE LOST WORLD: JURASSIC PARK'
'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' (1997) was directed by Steven Spielberg. It is the first of two sequels to 'Jurassic Park'. The film was based on the novel of same name by Michael Crichton. There are some notable differences however between the novel and the film.
In the film Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) is contacted once again by John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) CEO of InGen the company behind Jurassic Park. Hammond tells Malcolm that his former girlfriend Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) has left for Isla Sorna to study the dinosaurs that inhabit that island. Malcolm, who has seen what can happen around dinosaurs, joins a team of researchers to see her to safety. But what Malcolm doesn't know is that there is a second team going to the island, however they aren't there for research. Under the leadership of Hammond's nephew Peter Ludlow (Arliss Howard) and professional hunter Roland Tembo (Pete Postlethwaite) this team wants to capture the dinosaurs.
The music was again composed and conducted by John Williams who already created a magical soundtrack for 'Jurassic Park'. 'The Lost World' however is more primal.
'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' and its music belong to Universal Pictures.
