STORAGE UNDER THE BASE? GENIUS!!! UTTER GENIUS
@@cilitbang12 yess , I wish more kits did this so much to keep up with
@@DellsGunplaetc. it’s just such a great idea! And so much easier changing hands for poses for later down the line!! 👍🏻
Great review! I automatically subscribed after I watch it. Can't wait for my sky defender. I'm planning to get the kosmos as well.
Im glad you enjoyed it , im tempted to get another one for a custom with the kosmos set!
Man I can't wait to get mine. Payed for in full and waiting for that shipping notice.
I'm super excited for everyone to get theirs and experience it
If you got yours dont build it yet,get the kosmos rgb led for this sky defender, build it with the led,it would be perfect ❤
@@fokevin35 I second this
Just got word that my pre-order bach has been delayed, and there's no eta. Might not get it until Christmas or next year at this rate😢
@@bluspeed7 that sucks 😔
Dude that looks amazing, just got mine but gonna have to wait until the end of the year for the KOSMOS light kit
Dude I can't wait to see that built and installed
Can't wait for mine!
It's worth the hype, I think this has spoiled other kits for me haha
Great video! I’m excited to start mine!
@@cilitbang12 im excited for you ! It's a joy
Awesome review Dell!
Thanks king, it means a lot. I'm working to improve with each one
This model kit reminds me of a trump me... "im gonna come!" Seriously im buying this and the kosmos light kit when theyre next available
Hahaha 🤣, ah that's gonna be sick
Dang mah dude, you built it quick. Are you planning on putting on the waterslides?
Yeah I like to do that after the video so I don't risk damaging any during articulation and losing
@4:51 pause.

can u do a apocalypse next? i wanna see a comparison between the 2 since both are really good releases this year
I plan to pre order one as soon as i can
I didn't even know about this kit until your comment, I rushed to pre-order as soon as I saw pictures of the kit
@@andrewlaboy4907 my friend MetalmanXBuilds has a review up for the apocalypse, he got a special early look :)
anyone know when and where if that weapon on page 124 will be avaliable? There is a CAD drawing of a weapon mentioned in the manual that is not included.
i wanna say thats the big sniper rifle from the ORACLE or the hyper mega bazooka from the HI NU gundam. i dont think they plan on making it just using it as an example for the hands that can be used to hold other weapons from different kits
@@DellsGunplaetc. i c thx for explaining, looks like I’m in the hunt for a long range rifle, it’ll look pretty nice with it
@@DellsGunplaetc. thx, looks like am in the hunt for a big gun lol
@@TelpPov np , and yeah it would look sick with the hyper mega launcher
Awesome kit! I just learned about this kit today when I got a flyer in my USAGS order box. I have a question though, is this a Gundam or based on a Gundam? I'm familiar with the more mainstream Gundams like the grand-daddy, Nu, Hi-Nu, Strike, etc, but I'm not sure if this is a Gundam character??
let me get you up to speed, this is an orginal design model kit, the third party model kit scene is booming. taking design elements from Gundam and putting a spin on it. giving us 1/100 + scale model kits since bandai has been lacking on them releases. Some of them require more work than bandai kits, but alot of them have come along way like this one. Where the fit and finish is perfect and requires little to no extra work.
@@DellsGunplaetc. Thank you for the info! Yes, I agree with you that these 3rd party kits are indeed awesome and offer way more of everything compared to Bandai. I was also looking at the V-Tiger Hi-Nu Gundam which looks pretty amazing! These 3rd party brands offer resin type builds without actually dealing with all the intricacies of a resin kit. That said, I don't know if I'm up to the task of dealing with over a thousand pieces! My hats off to you for having the Time and Patience to put this together.
@@tundak630 ive been looking at the V-tiger and it looks like it will require drilling and tightening of some fitting issues,i do plan to try and get ahold of one as i am a huge fan of the Hi Nu gundam
Awesome 3rd party kit, so it's comparable to the MGEX SF build quality?
better imo
Better than MGEX
hows is the plastic quality? does it feel like bandai? hows the fittings? are u excited for future releases from this company?
Bro..this is better than bandai in every way , and yes im excited to see what this kit does to the market. 0 build issues
@@DellsGunplaetc. nu based kit hopefully, sky puncher
you must have In Era Aurora, the coolest model kit before Sky Defender is release
i do indeed have it in my backlog :)
Bandai is on notice…
They better be, they needed some competition
Man this is so cool, but I'm really only interested in Gundam kits, and even then just 1/100 Seed kits lol. Really hoping we get more third party bootleg kits on this level that are unique, like the Stargazer that was released a bit ago.
hey man to each their own, taste is subjective but i do agree more unique releases would be great. I do have the Stargazer and the LED effect rings in my backlog
and no hate , alot of the seed designs are fire. There's alot of designs that haven't made it to 1/100 yet
@@DellsGunplaetc. This is definitely my taste! I'm just not big on collecting material stuff unless it holds meaning, hence why I only collect Seed stuff cause I'll love my kits 20 years from now.
Even though it would be cool af to build this and have it in my collection, can't say it's very meaningful to me beyond me a sexy mech that was fun to build haha.
Yeah I totally get that, that's why I have every nu and hi nu Gundam kit. I'm an u.c. stan
where did you get it from? im still waiting on my pre order 😭
Gundamplacestore has them in stock
GundamPlaceStore is where I got mine, they still have some in stock
are u in usa?? where did u get this?? how much?
Yes I am , I go it from gundamplacestore, not sure if still in stock but was 160
179* and yes they still have them in stock
Is that website good? So expensive
@@HCNY yeah order from them from time to time. and its gonna be pricey. high demand low supply id say its worth it
SKY DEFENDER 1/72 can find me a large quantity of stock
Can you tell me the hight including the base please?
16 inches :)
@@DellsGunplaetc. Thanks! Damn, my shelf is 36.5cm, is there any poses that would drop it to this?
@@Flip5ide you could lean the base forward alot or he can stand without the base if you keep the rail guns on the back back and that will lower him to 10.5 inches
@@DellsGunplaetc. Nice one thank you! So the base is pretty thick!? Does the backpack have to be completely spread out like that or does it have some articulation to move the wing looking things up and down?
@@Flip5ide they can be folded up a good amount , base is real thick but it has storage under it
Can I ask what is the dimension of it's base?for enclosure purposes thank you!
I'll get back to you bro , about to head out for the day. When I return I'll get that for you
@@DellsGunplaetc. thank you in advance!!!
@@DaniloJosephSYpil its roughly 9 inches w (22cm) 10 inch L (25cm)
@@DellsGunplaetc. Thank youuu!!!gonna buy this thing hahaha I really thought that its lenght is 30 plus but it's not so I'll purchase this one!!
Np bro
is it safe to use pour gundam marker on it and should I do it on the pieces before assembly?
Turns out inner skeleton uses abs so after you finish the skeleton you can panel line the yet to be cut armor
@@coreykwan5180 I used the pour type on the armor before assembly and was just fine , just didn't use it on the gold painted parts
@@DellsGunplaetc. does it affect the gold in any way or is it just fine alone
@@coreykwan5180 the thinner to remove excess panel liner will take off the gold is all
Have you used the panel line on this? I'm afraid that the thinner gonna crack the plastic 😢
I used pour type Gundam markers , I panel lined before snapping together most of the armor plastic is polystyrene
@@DellsGunplaetc. Great! Thank you very much!
@@khangduong5385 np :)
what’s the height roughly
Head height: 27cm, total height: 34cm, wing width: 50cm

I heard the hips are fragile? Is this true? Can i send the pegs so it wont be as tight?
Mine are not fragile not too tight at all. Fits perfectly
@@DellsGunplaetc. if its too tight, can i sand it?
@@FourBajeena I'm sure you can , or use the metal parts. Just be careful
@@DellsGunplaetc. what abt undergating, does it pose a problem?
