Welcome. Monitor showed up early on Saturday. Already working to set up my new MacBook Pro. Once I've got that done, I'll be diving into the LG. Hopefully in the next day or two. Will take some time with it to get final opinions. Looking forward to using the USB Type-C for video.
The LG is garbage. My 10 y old 30" Apple Cinema Display is way way sharper and has a more consistent quality to the image. The LG was soft, the edges are blurry, and if you play games on it they can be VERY choppy to the point of making some unplayable. I returned it. If the Dell is worst, forget 43' for now.
I got mine for $80AUD. And I plan to use it exclusively for audio production, running Cubase Pro. It's replacing a three monitor setup with a 32" curved ultrawide and 2 X 27". My obstacle is the desk my DAW is on. It has a hutch with two shelves and this thing is way too big to fit in the space available. New desk time.
Theirs a reason theirs no HDMI 2.1 monitors out ATM, because nothing has that particular output type untill really recently. hdmi 2.0 cant support the bandwidth needed for 4k 60hz or above, also display port 1.4a can, but if you want anything higher then 60hz 4k you need two display port cables.
HDMI 2.0 absolutely has the bandwidth for 4k60. That requires 12.54 Gbit/s, and HDMI 2.0 has 14.4 GBit/s of bandwidth. Refresh higher than that need two cables or HDM 2.1. Xbox One X and PS4 Pro support 4k60 over HDMI 2.0 into HDTVs. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Version_comparison
Hi, thanks for this review. Is it possible to use single DisplayPort or USB-C cable and have 4 separate PBP displays. In theory it should be possible to support, as DisplayPort allows daisy chaining, so the electronics could represent 4 displays as daisychained to one another. Unfortunately I could find no information confirming or denying it.
Thanks for the positive feedback. That won't work in this instance. The monitor is mapping the actual electrical signal from each input, and there's no way to remap that. For four screen PBP, you'd need four different input feeds.
I just watched your review in December 2021. I’m picking one up second hand for about $200 from a neighbor who is moving out of the country for work. Thanks for this review even though you ultimately didn’t recommend it I feel it’s good price for a second hand 42” 4K monitor. Are their any other thoughts or concerns I should consider before I buy?
It's a good monitor. There were just a few things that tipped the scales for me on the LG. But if the HDMI version isn't a big deal, then $200 is a steal. I'd be happy to get one at that price and add it to my Dell 49" super-wide. Glad this review helped.
Thanks for the video! Could you please tell your opinion regarding the comparison between DELL P4320Q vs. LG 43UN700-B. I'm stuck here =/ LG cheaper for ~€160 and has a remote, but has 1 year of warranty.. DELL has 5 years of warranty
Great review and to the point. Thank you for that. Much appreciated. Please let us know how the LG 43UD79 works out for you. My order has been in my Amazon cart for about 2wks now. Havent had the cojones yet to click checkout yet. I currently have the ASUS PA328Q. Its nice but definately not worth ~$1000. I could use the extra vertical real estate with the 43" but the increased horizontal screen may be an issue. Reading info on either end of the screen is a bit of an issue with my current 32" ASUS and I noticed I tend to not put text heavy docs there. I think what would be ideal is a 16:9 43" curved similar to what Phillips tried with the 40" or perhaps a 3:2 43".
I do think that a curved panel would be a good option here for productivity and gaming users. Media professionals might have issues with the curve on a screen of this size. I've heard concerns of straight lines looking curved at larger form factors. I'd hope/expect that a 2nd gen of the LG panel would be curved and have FreeSync 2.
Thank You so much for making this vid. I have been waiting to see a real unboxing and review for this monitor from a long time. I want to buy this for my business reasons. Can you please tell me how good is this monitor when you do PBP like a quad screen and read 4 different documents. Word doc/CNN/PDF doc etc. Please let me know if possible! Thanks again! Cheerio
I would like to know if this is a good KVM able monitor. If i have two monitors (yes even with one of this size i need two, in fact three) the monitor must maintain the signal when switching to a different video signal port. Otherwise the operating system detects a monitor change and rearrange your windows. This sucks terrible when you work a lot. Unforunately you can't switch auto monitor detection off anymore, not on Windows, not on MacOS and at least not on Linux Ubuntu. Totally sucks this we simplify it and throw power users over board.
Thanks - Liked your detailed info. What are your thoughts on the newly announce Dell U4300 - Im planning to buy an ultrawide.subbed and thanks again 🙏🏻
Saif Bukhari The U4320Q looks to be a good upgrade, and honestly what the P4317Q should have been. The IPS is a nice upgrade. The USB-C input and 60Hz HDMI are a must and should have been there before. I’d miss the built-in speakers. I realize they aren’t great, but usually suffice for RUclips videos or work-related stuff. I did really like the remote on the LG monitor. Was very convenient.
WSGF thank you so much for taking the time out for replying in detail, much appreciated. My purchase options here in india are kinda limited as the U series is yet to show up and I personally not had a good experience with LG with its panel issues (replaced 3 in 3 years warranty) Since the application is a workstation and casual gaming I am thinking of taking the plunge. 🙏🏻
Great and helpful review. Thanks for your time and effort. A question: This the LG 43 equivalent or the Viewsonic VX4380-4K? Which one would you recommend. Thanks in advance.
great review, especially for someone looking to use it professional setting. thanks for that.. i do have a question... would you recommend the newer version and would you know if they improved on it for the price?
WSGF...now that's a name i haven't heard in a few years! thank you for being the only one doing a proper review on this monitor..i already have one on the way If I want to have 2 inputs and want to create multiple 'pictures' with in one of those inputs and display everything at once...would Dell's software support that? Is it safe to assume LG's version and Dell both uses the same panel supplied from LG? Or does the addition of HDMI2 and FreeSync suggest otherwise?
Glad we could be helpful! Trying to get back into doing RUclips videos, and doing hardware reviews. With two inputs you could do a PIP setup. Within both of those inputs (assuming they are both connected to PCs) you could run the DDM software (see my other video for details on that) to arrange content as you like. If you're looking to do these arrangements with the PBP options, you could do the same with the two vertical column arrangement. If you want to use any of the other arrangements, you'd need 3/4 inputs and use AMD Eyefinity or NVIDIA Surround to create horizontal rows. I believe the Dell is the same panel as the LG. I don't think there is anyone else making a 43" 4k panel with BRG sub-pixel layout. In my research, I found that both the Dell and LG used the BRG sub-pixel. The additional connections and FreeSync are implemented separately from the panel itself (via the controller, I believe).
I have this monitor and my complain is some shadow near of corners. I don't get where it came from, but it kinda hard read text near edge of the monitor untill i move a head. Have anyone same issue with this monitor or can someone explain what cause this effect?
WSGF if we talk about the balance function (home and small office, graphic design most for Adobe Illustrator, video & photo editing and also not a hardcore gaming) can you share the rank between P4317Q, U4919DW and U3818Dw based on your experience please (try to exclude the market price) thanks a lot before
I haven't used the U3818DW, but given it and the U4919DW are both part of the Ultrasharp line, they should have similar color performance. They are both rated at 99% sRGB and 350 nits and 1000:1 contrast. The U4919DW has 1.2M more pixels. And the double 16:9 aspect makes it more useful for PbP, and will be more immersive in gaming. The U4919DW also has more inputs, input types and USB-C. However, the 1600 vert on the U3818DW may preferable for some users re: productivity. And the 21:9 aspect is going to have better support in games. The smaller pixel count will also be easier to drive with your GPU. Both will be much better over the P4317Q. I'm not a fan of 4k gaming. I'd rather have a wider aspect than more pixels. And I personally find myself "feeling" constrained on a 16:9 aspect. With 21:9 and 32:9 you can work on a 16:9 canvas and still have room for tools and pallets. Also, I don't recommend the P4317Q. I doesn't have support for HDMI 2.0, so its 4k is limited to 30Hz over HDMI. If you want a 43" 4k I recommend the LG 43UD79. It's what I've been using, and I'm about to swap it for the U4919DW. My recommendation would be U41919DW > U3818DW > LG 43UD79 > P4317Q.
WSGF ok thanks for the advice, since dell in my country (indonesia) do not have for u49, i’ll prefer to choose the u3818dw. once again nice review 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
can i connect one computer to it to the DP, split the screen into 4 using the monitor builtin software (not downloading the display manager from Dell), and run two virtual machines having one VM splitting between two quarters and the other on the other two quarters? i know it's a very specific question but after watching so many reviews of this thing i still don't quite understand if i can do what i want to do with this monitor. i like the 4 input options and all but i only really need one for my work configuration (it's nice to have a 2nd input for my home desktop for when i'm not working).
No, you cannot. To split desktop from one machine, you have to run the DDM from Dell. The monitor doesn't have "built-in software". It is a hardware-based tiling "PbP" Picture by Picture. If you have two machines, you can do two horizontal strips.
@@WSGF understood. So if it's one machine it won't split from one screen. If it's one machine with two separate cords (like an HDMI chord and a DP chord) then I would be able to split between top and bottom or left and right side, correct?
Great review. Thanks. What do u think about these 40" to 43" 4k monitors vs 34" ultrawide monitors like Dell 3415, 3517 and LG UM3495C for productivity and light gaming? They seem to be priced similar.
I'm really liking the 43" 4k UHD more than the Dell U3415W (which I used for years). You've got more pixels for productivity, and with the new "multi-client" options for the multiple sources PBP, I can keep work, home and gaming machines up at the same time. I can then game either in 4k, double-wide (2x1080p) or ultra wide (using a custom res). Considering I also only lightly game (based on time), this form factor is the perfect marriage of features for me. There are some things I'd change on the LG 43 - but maybe in the next model.
Btw..when you say colour uniformity on white what do you mean? It's like having different colors on white background..like yellowish tints and different shades of color on white background? Thanks
Inconsistent reproduction of the colors on screen. It's not something you would notice with the eye, but professional users should be aware. And the differences here weren't alarming.
Yes, LG has a similar software. I have a link to a review of the previous version at the end of this video. Will be creating a new review, based on the updated software that ships with the LG 43".

Hz is a measure of frequency. In this instance it's the refresh rate of the monitor. A 60Hz monitor can update the screen image 60 times per second. If it's 30Hz, then it can only update it 30 times per second. If a game is running at 60fps on your computer or console, but plugged into a 30Hz display, it will look slow and choppy as the monitor can't keep up with the signal. Specifically here the HDMI ports don't support 4k60Hz, so a PS4 or XB1 wouldn't display 4k at the full 60fps.
@@WSGF Thank you for taking the time to answer. So for a programmer using a single input using HDMI for screen real estate (multiple code windows and logs), I'd get the 4K but at a bit lower than 60fps? And would that be straining on the eye? I understand it might be okay, given that I don't game?
@@TheunisCilliers It would be straining on the eye, and also make mouse movements half as fast as what you are use to, and jumpy. The LG 43UD79 is cheaper than this model, has the 4k60Hz and other features. There are other displays available with 4k60 over HDMI 2.0.
is it true the current 43" 4K monitor panels (LG, Acer, Dell, Philips, ViewSonic) currently suffers from one common issue. That be the edge of the display screen casting a shadow from a close viewing angle (2 ft)?
@@Optimistas777 cheers, seems not that great for gaming? just wondering do you have the measurement in cm from the back bar width/height? not the bezel could be replacement for my LG which i made custom bezel
@@wallmachine8780 you can get the measurement from displaywars.com, they give you measurement without bezel. For, gaming the size of the screen is quite cool for casual gaming, fills entire field of view, vertical and horizontal if sitting closer, and also comfortable when sitting further away. I wouldn't choose the size for competitive gaming, though, 27 144hz is better. Also, if you have weaker pc, screen tearing is likely (if you have vsync off, haven't tried it yet). There is a Predator screen 43" 144hz VA panel which is geared towards gamers, this Dell IPS is more for productivity
AMD and NVIDIA each have their own process for setting custom resolutions in their control panels. If you're looking for game-specific solutions, check out the WSGF - www.wsgf.org
@@WSGF thanks! I'm hesitating between this and the Samsung 55NU8000. It's a TV but can display 4k 4.4.4 @ 60hz with 17ms input lag, there's some kind of freesync too. It's for music studio use. What would you pick between those two?
@@rectape I found this. You just going to use it as a large display for for DAW? www.dell.com/en-us/work/shop/dell-55-4k-conference-room-monitor-c5519q/apd/210-arev/monitors-monitor-accessories
Thanks, game looks awesome as your vids! ;) As for now, I'd only consider 16:9 for TV or console gaming. But for PC - it's hard to switch back from 21:9.
And with the custom resolutions, I can play in 38" 21:9 @ 3840x1600. And I still get the 4k and PBP for productivity and multi-client productivity. While the Dell wasn't a good value. I really like the LG 43UD79 I've just gotten. In my mind it's the best of both worlds (21:9 & multi-mon).
The custom resolution looks still enjoyable with the GW2 example. But I'd rather maxed out the 4K resolution if I'd have a 4K monitor because I wouldn't stand the black bars (especially with movies) which was one of the main reasons why I came in touch with UW-Monitors. If it has to be all in one, the best of both worlds in my opinion would be the 3x1 setup you showed with the Flexispot sit-stand-desk (I prefer sit only =), where you have both 16:9 and 21:9 in its native format. For me, a triple-mon setup with a UW in the middle would be enough for productivity and PC-Gaming. And for the couch, a really big (55+") 4K-TV. Indeed, the LG seems to offer more for a lesser price. Personally, I started with an LG 29" UW-/FHD-monitor and wanted to switch to a bigger Dell 27" 1440p-/16:9 but it was so underwhelming that I had to switch to a LG 34" UWQHD, which is my main display now. ^_^
Not going to "fault" or disagree with you on your preferences. This is the joy of the PC - we can all do what we want, and customize to our liking. I did triple-wide for a long time, and then tried the 29" ultra wide. It was cool, but I still saw value in multi-non vs. 29" ultra wide. But, when I went to 34" ultra wide this was the "holy grail". If I had one machine, and/or mostly gamed - I'd probably be on a 34" ultra wide, or more probably a 38" ultra wide. But, seeing as how most of my time is spent in "productivity" mode, and I constantly split time between my personal MacBook Pro (email, chat, video editing, productivity, etc.) my day-job PC, and my gaming PC - the multi-client aspect of the large format 4k PBP works best for my "daily driving". For gaming, I prefer the ultra wide aspect over the 4k res. I don't think the black bars will be an issue for me. Bezels in multi-monitor seemed to disappear for me over time. And I expect the black bars to do the same. But again. Because we are PC gaming we can each choose the setup we prefer, and use that.
You can watch both my final review and immediate first impressions of the LG 43UD79 on this channel. They are the first two videos in this playlist. ruclips.net/p/PLQoSivv9Onl_Ieioa1vStpV9ExuC8Nh1V
Yeah, I had my eye on the LG, but it seemed to be ever delayed in releasing. Figured I would end up liking the LG more, due to the features. And I wanted to try both stands out for a comparison. Luckily Dell has a good return policy. ^_^
Were you going to do a review on the LG43UD79 when you receive it? I have had a great experience with it so far but would like to know what others think about the monitor as well as there is not much out there as far as reviews go as this monitor is fairly new to the market.
I've done a very first impressions quick look. Looks to be much better than the Dell. You can see it here. Will be doing a full review once I've spent more time with the panel. ruclips.net/video/BEN9qQDmF6k/видео.html
Not and get 60Hz. 4k @ 60Hz requires HDMI 2.0, which this monitor does not support. You can do 1080p @ 60Hz, or 4k @30Hz. Personally I wouldn't wouldn't downgrade like that.
Does the Easy Arrange create extra sets of Aero Snap points in WIndows like a physical input would, or is it more like DisplayFusion where you can only snap to those virtual screens via the software's own controls?
Not familiar with Aero Snap points, and it's been a while since I've used DF. But, it is virtual areas created on the desktop. I haven another video that goes into more depth on the DDM.
Doug, two pages are just waste for such monitor. I regularly work with EIGHT Word / PDF pages displayed ABSOLUTELY COMFORTABLY on 39.5" screen. There is no single doubt they will fit EASILY on 43" monitors - well, just take the size of A4 format, compare to screen size of 43" :) check these imageshost.eu/images/2017/12/20/IMG_20171220_084237.jpg (once again, this is "just" 39.5" Seiki) and imageshost.eu/images/2017/12/20/IMG_20170523_142906.jpg To illustrate, 25" 2560x1440 is somehow small for my eyes and I would definitely NOT want to work with text size like that all day ; but those eight pages on 40" monitor are easy all-day-long. Cheers !
You can do the ultra wide scaling on all panels - but some panels have better scaling than others. It comes down to the implementation by the manufacturer. I could get the Dell to scale properly in a 2D game like Pillars of Eternity, but it wouldn't scale Witcher 3 properly. It stretched the 21:9 image vertically to fill the 16:9 aspect. You might also be able to rely on your GPU. I can't remember if I was using the Radeon Fury or the NVIDIA 1080. The LG scales all 3D games properly with the NVIDIA 1080.
Dude, your review is above excellent! You literally covered every detail of the screen I wanted to know about.

DELL has 5 years of warranty
thanks for review !
Cheerio
Thank you, very helpful!
for viewing digital pictures and 4k videos which is the best monitor of LG and DELL
Sorry, I no longer have this monitor to test KVM functionality.
5:00 I never saw that Pokemon before...
RUclipsr ComicBookGirl19. Does really good comics and movie reviews.
Great and helpful review. Thanks for your time and effort.
A question:
This the LG 43 equivalent or the Viewsonic VX4380-4K? Which one would you recommend. Thanks in advance.
wow what a great review!!
Is this issue visible, WSGF ? ( display screen casting a shadow from a close viewing angle )
Thank you
great review, especially for someone looking to use it professional setting. thanks for that..
i do have a question...
would you recommend the newer version and would you know if they improved on it for the price?
Thanks for the kind words. I don't have any exposure to the new model, so I can't say. Sorry.
Anything larger with 44% haze or similar?
WSGF...now that's a name i haven't heard in a few years!
thank you for being the only one doing a proper review on this monitor..i already have one on the way
If I want to have 2 inputs and want to create multiple 'pictures' with in one of those inputs and display everything at once...would Dell's software support that?
The additional connections and FreeSync are implemented separately from the panel itself (via the controller, I believe).
how it works with movies ? I have a Dell 2715 but does not have good movements, this monitor is better ? or the 4320Q maybe? thanks.
Sorry, I don't understand the question. Are you asking about response time. Also, I no longer have this monitor.
How quick/easy is to switch between two 4K sources?
Does Dell Display Manager have to be installed on each source?
Switching between sources only takes a couple of seconds. You only need DDM installed if you want the extra features.
I have this monitor and my complain is some shadow near of corners. I don't get where it came from, but it kinda hard read text near edge of the monitor untill i move a head. Have anyone same issue with this monitor or can someone explain what cause this effect?
gdlk This is a known issue with monitor and any that use the panel. It has to do with how the panel is set back from the front glass.
WSGF if we talk about the balance function (home and small office, graphic design most for Adobe Illustrator, video & photo editing and also not a hardcore gaming) can you share the rank between P4317Q, U4919DW and U3818Dw based on your experience please (try to exclude the market price)
thanks a lot before
I haven't used the U3818DW, but given it and the U4919DW are both part of the Ultrasharp line, they should have similar color performance.
WSGF ok thanks for the advice, since dell in my country (indonesia) do not have for u49, i’ll prefer to choose the u3818dw. once again nice review 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
most of youtube videos are still 480p. One question for who own this monitor, how do they appear at a distance of 3 feets (90cm)?
Amazing
can i connect one computer to it to the DP, split the screen into 4 using the monitor builtin software (not downloading the display manager from Dell), and run two virtual machines having one VM splitting between two quarters and the other on the other two quarters?
i know it's a very specific question but after watching so many reviews of this thing i still don't quite understand if i can do what i want to do with this monitor. i like the 4 input options and all but i only really need one for my work configuration (it's nice to have a 2nd input for my home desktop for when i'm not working).
No, you cannot. To split desktop from one machine, you have to run the DDM from Dell. The monitor doesn't have "built-in software". It is a hardware-based tiling "PbP" Picture by Picture. If you have two machines, you can do two horizontal strips.
i thought that the buttons on the monitor had a menu to split the screens.
@@cucabueno That button splits the monitor between multiple physical inputs.
@@WSGF understood. So if it's one machine it won't split from one screen. If it's one machine with two separate cords (like an HDMI chord and a DP chord) then I would be able to split between top and bottom or left and right side, correct?
@@cucabueno Yes. You can use multiple outputs from one machine.
thanks for video much apprichated had a problem from going to this or 2 32 inch lgs 4ks 3 total
And the differences here weren't alarming.
does the LG have something similar to dell display manager? Looking for work and using the DDM works well for everyone.
Yes, LG has a similar software. I have a link to a review of the previous version at the end of this video. Will be creating a new review, based on the updated software that ships with the LG 43".
Is there a VESA mount so I can mount on a wall?
@MEEKAH: AI BASE RAIDS - LAST DAY ON EARTH Why are you so triggered buddy? Relax, it was just a question. If you didnt like it, just move on. Btw, I'm far from "kid".
@MEEKAH: AI BASE RAIDS - LAST DAY ON EARTH - It isn't about me. It's about you and the video creator. That's why I want to apologize to you and every single youtube viewer I have deeply aggravated and offended. See? I'm not a millennial, "generation me kid" after all. I'm capable of realizing my mistakes and owning up to it. Now, it's up to you to be an adult about it and accept my apology. Shake my hand dude and move on. 🤝 You can do it. 👍
@WSGF What does it mean, when using HDMI input only with one source, when you say 60HZ (DisplayPort inputs only)
Hz is a measure of frequency.
This beast monitor is a good choice in the year 2020 or not?
For this size panel, I still prefer the LG 43"
is it true the current 43" 4K monitor panels (LG, Acer, Dell, Philips, ViewSonic) currently suffers from one common issue. That be the edge of the display screen casting a shadow from a close viewing angle (2 ft)?
Yes. This is true. I've experienced this with both the Dell and the LG. I would assume the other two have the issue as well.
thanks for the reply are you somehow able to show me a pick of how it would look? im struggling to find examples online..
They fixed it on the U4320Q
Hey Guys, can I ask you what the total height is in inches from the desk to the top of the monitor when it is pushed down? Thanks!
There is no height adjust. The static height is 26".
Is it all in one or does it need a seperate PC?
Needs a separate PC. It's only a monitor.
Those issues described by other people at 10:00 are from the poor cable quality.
Good cables make a lot of difference. I found that out the hard way a couple of years ago.
Saw people fighting the settings for days when actually it was all about the bloody cable.
How did you set the custom resolutions for gaming
AMD and NVIDIA each have their own process for setting custom resolutions in their control panels. If you're looking for game-specific solutions, check out the WSGF - www.wsgf.org
Thanks for the review! Do you think that the 55 inches version have the same problems?
The 55" is a whole different beast. I believe it's 120Hz and it is a whole different panel. If they get the inputs right, it will be appealing.
@@WSGF thanks! I'm hesitating between this and the Samsung 55NU8000. It's a TV but can display 4k 4.4.4 @ 60hz with 17ms input lag, there's some kind of freesync too. It's for music studio use. What would you pick between those two?
@@rectape What's the model number of the Dell? Are there any reviews out yet?
@@WSGF the Dell is the C5519Q. I can't find anything on the web about this monitor...

Well done ;) I would like to ask Is it possible to use the monitor from close up and comfortably? Are there any visible pixels?
Thanks Mati
Thanks. I don't have the Dell anymore, but I use the LG 43" at a close distance - literally arm's length.
hey
great review!
I want to ask you if you had any dead pixels on this display?
thank you!
I did not have any.
please test pes 2018. is there any blurry/ghosting on fast motion
Sorry. I don't have that game, and no longer have this monitor.
it is on sale for $899.99 at DELL
$769.00 @ pcpartpicker
What is this game starting at 3:40?
Guild Wars 2
Thanks, game looks awesome as your vids! ;)
As for now, I'd only consider 16:9 for TV or console gaming.
Thx for the video.. using the default stand, can u move it from horizontal/landscape to vertical? can u rotate it? thx!!!
No. There is no rotate. You'll need to mount it with the VESA adapter, to a mount/stand that offers rotate.
I wanna hear Any guys opinions about Lg 43UD79T vs Del p4317q ? Plz =D
You can watch both my final review and immediate first impressions of the LG 43UD79 on this channel. They are the first two videos in this playlist. ruclips.net/p/PLQoSivv9Onl_Ieioa1vStpV9ExuC8Nh1V
You should have held out for the LG 43UD79-B.
It's less expensive, weighs less, and supports HDMI 2.0.
(I wrote this response before I saw the end of your video lol)
Yeah, I had my eye on the LG, but it seemed to be ever delayed in releasing. Figured I would end up liking the LG more, due to the features. And I wanted to try both stands out for a comparison. Luckily Dell has a good return policy. ^_^
Were you going to do a review on the LG43UD79 when you receive it? I have had a great experience with it so far but would like to know what others think about the monitor as well as there is not much out there as far as reviews go as this monitor is fairly new to the market.
I've done a very first impressions quick look. Looks to be much better than the Dell. You can see it here. Will be doing a full review once I've spent more time with the panel.

you can't connect a ps4 pro 4k?? to this monitor?
Not and get 60Hz. 4k @ 60Hz requires HDMI 2.0, which this monitor does not support. You can do 1080p @ 60Hz, or 4k @30Hz. Personally I wouldn't wouldn't downgrade like that.
How do you managed to put a PS4 PRO @30Hz? there is not a DP to HDMI @60K?
You don't. That's the problem...
I just got this monitor for 350, so i guess for the price is great hehe.
Switch off your power line. Save standy by power. 10:33
You do understand that modern good quality stand-by modes really use sooooo little current. It's became a non issue.
Thank you.
If it has the same panel as 27" Dell P2717H, I would say stay away as its image quality isn't that great except for gaming.
what game is that u r playing
Guild Wars 2
Does the Easy Arrange create extra sets of Aero Snap points in WIndows like a physical input would, or is it more like DisplayFusion where you can only snap to those virtual screens via the software's own controls?
Not familiar with Aero Snap points, and it's been a while since I've used DF. But, it is virtual areas created on the desktop. I haven another video that goes into more depth on the DDM.
do a video where you display two A4 size pdf document
Cheers !
Thanks for your review.. Would it be possible to run the ultrawide resolution on other monitors like philips 43" or is it a Dell function . Thanks
