I think Connery is the most interestingly tailored in this sense - remember that he's a bodybuilder underneath, and then look and realise how understated his suits and evening dress are.

hello, first of all, thanks for your comment!
actually, the white t-shirt and tie combo was worn by Daniel Craig in 'Skyfall'.
it's a nod to his unique style in the film, not AI confusion

    • @OldGinger

That is not a t-shirt, it's a long sleeve collared shirt, you can literally see the collar in the photos. A tie shouldn't be worn with a t-shirt and Bond is definitely not wearing one here.

Awesome vid. This lends credence to my direction toward fashion, which is on par with the bond look. I’d like to know the type and brand of driving gloves that bond (Craig) is using in some of the shows.

Bond always blended in with the time of Day and the Weather. It's a common thing in Espionage it didn't necessarily make him stand out but it made him practically blend in broad daylight. Craig's Bond was one who was learning to get it right and took until Skyfall, I think, to nail it like the other Bonds. Think of the Khaki Suit in No Time To Die and the Weather from that Madera Scene. Sunny day (Khaki 2-Piece) and a clear blue sky (light blue shirt).
The Mid Sharkskin Grey would come around a more cloudy setting especially when it is colder. Normally you'd see Khakis paired with the White Shirt like in Diamonds Are Forever when the Weather was Sunny and had some clouds in the sky.
Completely Cloudy Day,? Dark Grey. Chance of rain? Royal Navy Blue.
The Tuxedos speak for themselves. The Black Tux seems to be a way to blend in or help to hide out of sight (like a Ninja) and the White Dinner Jacket to make him stand out like an Open Target/A Distraction.
There are more reasons why Spies tend to dress this way other than blending in broad daylight, however, with Bond especially. You'd often see what he wears similar to what you'd wear in a Wedding/Wedding Party and also a Funeral. Black Suit and Black Tie, which is the common Funeral Attire would often be worn in those scenes where Bond is actually at a Funeral or a to blend in the dark while offing his Target. I guess you can excuse the Wedding Party reason to just being the Bachelor that Bond typically is..."Really, 007!"
Though not every Bond film would often nail it due to rather discrepancies in the Script, abiding by continuity, the lighting on the set (can't always get that right all the time) or budget reasons... It happens!
Bottom line. there is far more than meets the Eyes (only) when it comes to Bond's Style. Even though it changes with the times, he always blends in with the Time of Day and The Weather!
FYI, I know all this because I've read this in some excerpts in Spy Novels including Ian Fleming and it's also IN EVERY BOND FILM IF YOU REALLY PAID ATTENTION!
Oh! And the different ties Bond would wear are of Personal Preference. Goes with Bond's Mood, it seems.

The video is great, but there is a bit of misinformation here. Fleming giving 007 a boring name was done in order to contrast it with his amazing style, as the Fleming stories don't depict James in anything particularly stylish. In fact, the suits he wears are often described as being "tattered" or "old". Fleming DID want Bond to be a boring character, but only because he wanted to contrast it with the luxurious, exotic settings and situations he found himself in. He wanted James to be a sort of vessel; the readers shouldn't care about him, and instead focus on his surroundings. This is because the era in which the books were written was a point in time when the British economy was still in the shit after WWII and people couldn't experience the finer things in life, so Fleming's mission was to illustrate a fantastical world where it was all possible. He thought if Bond was too charming or charismatic, the exotic side of the books would suffer.
However, later on in the stories, Fleming saw the popularity of Bond's character and made him a little less one-dimensional in the last few stories, particularly in "You Only Live Twice" where there is a heavy emphasis on Bond's malaise and depression after the death of Tracy. Point is, before the films, Bond was not particularly charming or charismatic. He WAS a gentleman, but that was basically a trend anyway.

One main reason why Daniel Craig looks stylish in the photos is because of his physique. That’s why all of the styles worked. So get in the gym and develop the body. You will thank yourself in time.

    • @jaaqqo
      @jaaqqo 3 дня назад

Physique is top. But Craig would do so much better if the suits were bespoke as there were in the in the Connery era. Now they are Ford, which means ready to wear, albeit altered for Craig. Too bad the team opted to dress him in too small clothes.

Real old money dresses as it wants. Wear your grandfather’s Savile Row suit and his 1930s gold Rolex. The real literary Bond didn’t care much about fashion and clothes.

    • @dressii

Imo the first thing a man needs to do in order to achieve their version of this is to get in tip top shape....whatever your perfect 10 body is then you need to be able to hold steady at an 8 at all times...i don't care what budget you have for clothes, jewelry, and cars...if your stomach isn't at least flat and you have man boobs you have work to do....let the wardrobe be the cherry on top...you be the cake (myself included)

I liked Pierce Brosnan's clothing selections. Sean Connery was obviously 'perfect'. Roger Moore, on the other hand, looked garish and "1970's" trendy as he just played "Roger Moore". He was never credible as James Bond.

Daniel Craig let down the tradition of Bond being well dressed. His clothing is too tight and is wrinkled and distorted as a result. Nothing sophisticated or elegant about that! And wearing a black suit during the day? Just silly.

Craig casual wardrobe is the best in my opinion but the formal one...i can't stand on tight fight suit.
But some article wrote that Craig Bond intentionally wearing tight suit because it's shown that he is broken man in and out and on revenge mission.so the clothing reflection his inner personality.altought i get what they trying to do but maaan...it's tought to see Bond on tight suit.in my humble opinion .
