I saw N921NN at JFK about 3 times in the past 2 months. It's such a rarity to see that among the rest of the fleet in the new livery. I prefer the old since it was the longest running livery in AA history, and being the most iconic.
I saw her at Reagan in October 2021. I was happy to see it because I think the bare metal livery was the one of the best livery’s ever
We will never forget American Airlines old heritage livery
Nostalgic song + Nostalgic Livery = Nostalgic video in the future
I’ve heard that the main reason they switched to their new livery is the fact that more airliners are being made of composites nowadays. A shame, really, but technology marches on, I guess
It still looked good on white planes in my opinion. All of American Eagle's old livery planes were painted white
Tbh I’m surprised there’s no such thing as chrome aircraft paint. It would maybe allow for a chrome look on aircraft made of non metal materials. However, I’m guessing it’s not possible :/
Rip to the 767 200ER in the 9/11 attacks and dc 10 in flight 191
Amazing that AA's lively pretty much stayed the same from the early 70s all the way up to the early 2010s
Most iconic livery to ever exist in aviation history
This was the best livery in
Aviation history...The new livery
Is Awful..should've kept the AA
Logo...It was strong, bold and
Held its own....
whatt i love the new livery
@@saltyv250 I respect your opinion.
For me personally, It's looks like
A piano keyboard on the tail .
The AA logo with eagle was strong,
Bold and easily recognised..Its
Also a little confusing..what is the
Company's logo ? The imitation
Flag or the eagle ? To put both
On the Aircraft doesn't make sense.
@@anthonyr7208 I respect your opinion but I like the new design… especially the tail I like the american flag design on the tail i think the AA looks boring … as well the white painting looks nice on the aircraft
The best looking planes in the world. I wish they would bring it back.
Great video, I love the American Airlines Bare Metal Livery, could you do a fleet history of the American Eagle Saab 340s please
The old bare metal look is the most beautiful airline livery i've ever seen
I have a model of the American 777-300er in the new livery
They went 44 years with that livery, gahh damn.
Surprising how this livery Lasted for 6 decades.
Best livery in my opinion
RIP Original American Airlines Livery
An American Airlines DC-10 was one of the best looking planes out there.
Liked the Dreyfuss livery design better. Would be nice to see the 'orange thunder bolt livery' from the 50's & early 60"s. It was the 'original' bare metal livery.
I know the bare metal look must've been a pain in the nuts for maintenance, and a pain in the eyes if the sun is at the wrong angle but that old livery was sharp, there was no mistaking which airline that plane belonged to.
The livery exist until 2019 when AA retired their MD-80 jets.
Like what I've said earlier, there is additional information:)
Oh
@@ZC_Offcials Also, I stopped adding years when a new livery is introduced. Therefore, I only made the timeline until 2013 since the current livery was also introduced in that year
Nice Bro :D
i love this song
Old American chrome better than new American.
Best livery of all time. Convince me otherwise
Nice
I wish they never replaced this
There’s still some that exist
Does it still operate on that one 737 because i saw it 3 years ago
Why AA did not use metallic when applying livery
I think the 1993 photo was flight 77
nope that's N644AA's sistership: N645AA
1997: American 11
Don't you mean 1969-2019? Cuz it was still in use on the MD-80s
I included some additional information don't worry;)
@@BlaneAbbiction ok :)
@@muhammadfadhiil5992 They still have it on a 737-800 (N921NN). AA said they will keep it in the Metal livery as "heritage" or something
@@azurefire7266 i know. But i wonder why they didn't put any on the 777's
@@muhammadfadhiil5992 they were the good looking one in it only the 300ERs didnt taste it
So is it too late to say First
Not really
@@BlaneAbbiction also Nice Video
@@newsalertla Thanks;)
New livery sucks
Cant imagine how hot the surface of those planes got, stupid livery.
Not really, because it's very cold high in the atmosphere.
