Looks amazing. I thought these models were designed for vertical weight like dump beds. Never imagined a towing setup. Cool! How did this rig ride when she's not under load? I would imagine kidney pain all around.
Mark, great question. The Chassis cab trucks ALL ride very rough. That's why we install Kelderman Air Rides and Liquid Spring suspensions. Both of these aftermarket suspensions are excellent choices for taming down the ride without sacrificing functionality. Thank you for the question!
Randy. The payload varies on the upfit options. The RAM 5500s like this have a 19,500 LBs GVWR and up to 43,000 LBs GCWR. We weigh each individual truck once they are complete. This specific truck has a curb weight of 12,020 LBs this would leave 7,480 LBs of payload.
Yes, I would agree. This specific customer requested A TON of options which brings a large price tag. We work hard at tailor building every truck to our customers needs and wants. Our base price starts around $30,000 for the Elite 84 which is how this build started.
That front bumper is way to ugly!! It’s not a clean look !! Looks like it’s almost dragging the ground !! The AEV bumper would look awesome!! Don’t know if it fits a 5500 though much cleaner looking bumper. Rest of this truck is clean!!
