One of my biggest issues with this game is how stupid the AI is even on extreme difficulty.

AI logic- “Woah! Steve is dead, everybody take cover! Search out the enemy!”
Minutes later... “All clear, everybo... Woah! Jimmy is dead, everybody take cover! Search out the enemy!”
Rinse, repeat.
It really depends on your difficulty level tbh.

What a terrible location for a base. In a valley, bordering a lake, surrounded by high ground. I'd hate to see what their easy bases look like, sheesh.

Yep, I doubt Ubisoft hired anyone with any tactical or military strategical knowledge when they developed this game. Some wildlands bases made more sense lol

@@jasontodd1175 exactly what I said, how is this a max level camp in a beta stage. They wouldn't do that it would scare off potential customers because of the difficulty, instead they just put higher level enemies in a easy impenetrable base

@@qwertiak The only thing that changes with the difficulty though is how fast they spot you and how fast you die, the AI would be just as stupid in Extreme too, unless they are like in Wildlands where they have Wallhack and spot you through the ground and walls

The thing about the gear score is not that it ruins the game, it's that it's unwanted. Like you said, it almost doesn't affect the gameplay - and that's the point! Why have a gear score system like this when it's more or less pointless? And you have to dig up interviews by the developers to figure out what exactly it does, as it doesn't seem to change the stats of the individual weapons or gear. What it mainly does, is reduces your damage resistance (so you die quicker) and reduces your stealth (makes enemies spot you more easily) when the enemy is much higher gear score than you. None of these things matter much when you're playing as a sniper. But it does have an effect when you're going in loud, Rambo style. So it affects some play styles more than others.
A better system would be to just have some enemies have better body armour, higher calibre weapons, and be highly trained at spotting you. You don't need a gear score system to achieve that. As it is now, the wolves will be easier and easier to fight the higher your gear score is. At that point you are very good at playing the game as well, so I think the game will be very easy at max gear score.
The skill level indicates the way they move, more tactical, the higher the level of skills and training they have. People tend to get intimidated based off of the level indicator....it's just to prove that they can't be taken lightly.

Yea gear score in a Ghost Recon game is fckn stupid. It’s a shame cause the game looks really nice, and your character movements look good too. I’m just not into robot tanks and drones and fckn bullet sponges when they get higher levels. In Wildlands you died in no time once you got into the tier 20 lvls. The enemies still died with one shot when they weren’t alerted, or 1 headshot when they were, but took like 5 or 6 when they were alerted, which was too many to stand and hit them with while they were shooting you cause you’d be dead before your bullets reached them. And tho Ubisoft makes it out to seem like the Wuulvs have better training and will “move tactically and methodically” I doubt that’s the case... it’s Ubisoft, get real. They’re not gunna make a whole different tactical style for enemies than the base one they already made. They’ll just increase their spotting distance, accuracy and damage resistance. They’ll still move like the dumb AI does in most Ubisoft games.

SEALS 0280 yea dude, I mean I may still buy the game, but probably when it’s on sale. They said that this map of Auora is bigger than the Wildlands map, but for some reason I just don’t believe it. I wish they solely focused on straight stealth, Spec-Ops type shit, and had like major detail in the sort of stuff you could do stealth. Like I wish you could pop off a corner that an enemy is coming around and like do some sick animation and strip them of their gun and hold them up with it, then knock em out or you could hold X to get them to walk with you and you could escort them like to a roof or something and kill them there or make them get on their knees with their hands behind their heads and zip tie their hands so they’d have to stay there. I dunno I loved MGSV:TPP the way the stealth was in that game was just so good! Still play it to this day. And when you turn on your night vision goggles he actually is wearing NV goggles unlike in these games.

It is not max level, that is gearscore150, in the beta there is gearscore200 places. :P Drones kill you in 3 hits, hahahaha.
@@spkz0r yeah, if that UAV spots you, you'll have these killer drones and wolves on top of your ass. Basically, avoid being spotted by the UAV and then you can do this type of stuff all game.

What is so impressive about this? I keep seeing this videos. Like this is easy, literally everyone can do this, you are going in and marking them all with a drone, and you have mini-map on, and better yet you have the big red circle markers on as well to tell you if you forgot to mark anyone. The only way it makes sense to post these is if you are doing it on hardcore with one life, you don't have a mini-map and nothing to tell you if you've marked them all. You have to just sit there and watch their patrols. I remember sitting in Wildlands on hills for 30-45minutes at a time watching what the patrols did, then picking them off one by one when they got far away from their groups and timing it all perfectly so no one noticed. Fun stuff- and still relatively easy to do, it just requires patience. No idea why you're posting this on easy difficulty.
Who said this is supposed to be impressive? i uploaded this because its gameplay. Not everything has to be hardcore milsim you know.. If you see my newest video you will see that i am taking out a level 200 Wolf camp on Extreme with No Hud, just to please people like you. And let me tell you something, its a waste of time. The AI is completely braindead and you can outplay them super easy all the time. There is no point playing on Extreme or without HUD.
Take this Franchise away from Ubisoft Paris ... Give it to the team that made Chaos Theory and ask them to play a lot of MGS V, Socom and old Rainbow Six games ...
End result = a game we can love 👍

Hopefully it will be a good game if they add a "hardcore mode" without unlimited bandages, no regenerating health, more survival elements, all pickups are sent back to base so you can't switch between 50 weapons on the fly, where you can only switch weapons at the base or at a bivvy, a weight system that means carrying two weapons and a lot of tools makes your stamina deplete quickly etc.
If only the devs actually listen to the community

Well the gear score really doesn't have much to say unless you are going in full Rambo, and this is most definitely NOT a tactical game, they kinda messed up on the advertisement

Had some of my buddies who grinded upon this game get me some good gear and also did the brother vs brother under lv100 as I was 61 but thanks to my pals I got the best of the game. I’m trying to hit gear score 100 before I take a break from it.
It’s much better now, turn everything off and use real world tactics, very enjoyable

This is one of the things i really like about Breakpoint, enemies are no longer damn bullet spunges, a headshot can take down anyone. I don't mind the drones and so on since they are actually fairly easy to deal with even on the highest difficulty, though i never tried to do a boss fight on my own.
If you get caught by an elite soldier, they are bullet sponges lol

On the highest level statement, there is actually a level 200 camp off coast both in and out of the beta, walkers camp is also 150 located in sinking country.
Yeah i know, this was the highest i could find in the Closed Beta, also did a video on the 200 one in the Open Beta.

Bro when I first started this game, I came up to this exact camp and was like, "ok, my first camp in breakpoint. Iv done this countless times in wild lands, I got this!!...." 😖 Then I set the controller down

The AI enemies being so bad and poorly programmed makes it pointless to even have them in the game. Might as well just have paper targets littering the base for all the difference it would make.
I don't understand why Ubisoft goes through all of the trouble of adding all of these unwanted gameplay additions but refuses to spend any time at all on AI. It shouldn't be too hard for a AAA studio to code; if sniper suspected, hunker down, reduce line of sight and call in a bunch of drone scouts.

I agree with what you're saying... Ubisoft is one of, if not the richest gaming company out there. I'm not saying they're games are bad... they're good. But that's the problem, they could/should be epic. Maybe it's just me but 90% of games they make it feels like there something missing, like they could've done more. We see upgrades (mostly graphical ones) but to me it feels like they should be leaping forward beyond simply good. I'm still gonna get Breakpoint and I'm probably going to enjoy it but I just wish they would make a game that would be just jaw dropping... cause deep down in my hearth I know they're capable of doing so.

Tyler Parr dude, the game is coming out in one month, if they couldn't see up to now that the AI is subpar, they have real problems. the beta was to see how servers would work and what were the most glaring issues (falling through the map happened A LOT, and i got a ton of collision issues.) the AI will be the same for sure, and this is not okay. the fact that the AI goes from "alert" mode and back to "everything is fine" mode is ridiculous for a tactical game (GR is supposed to be a tactical Franchise). the awareness that something is wrong should always go up, not down after 2 minutes.
@@spiral83 I've said that same thing, remember the Unidad in Wildlands? That was good. They didn't mess around, they knew they were elite. Calling choppers, reinforcements, searching in groups of 6 at once, alert only dropped once you were completely clear of them, an example being miles away in a helicopter. The higher the alert, the higher the search level too. Shame Breakpoint doesn't have that. I kinda wish they improved on it.

Breakpoint is a good looking game, although has a whole catalogue of undeniable flaws.
Best features for me are,
It's a well made environment & pretty.
Sniping is immersive if practised.
Stealth possibilities are quite fun

From what I have seen the AI is worse, probably why it needs arcade weapon/gear scaling...a 29.99 game at best.
Disable the HUD, all markers, on Extreme difficulty and we're talking.
Definitely a smart idea when the choppers that randomly come over dont even have sound sometimes..
I really dont like playing with markers ON. Knowing where the enemies are at all times takes away the tention and suspense and make things SO much easier.
Its easier playing on Extreme with markers than on Advanced without markers.

I leveled up extremely easily. I do love the new way to roll around in the dirt and they can pass by and not see you. Get up and gut them. Awesome game. Since it's release I did move back to wildlands to try to finish all the unlocks.

damn what sniper and scope are you using because it looks great also why do you have no sway at all? Are you using some perk that doesn't make you sway when your aiming?
Sniper is L115A3 and Scope is T5XI (i think) and yeah i had some perks, though i cannot remember the name of those exact perks

I took out the same base two or three times. Every time, as soon as the last enemy died, within ten seconds the only buttons that registered in the game was to sprint. Otherwise just look and run around. Couldn’t shoot, aim, pick up equipment or anything.
The graphics are beautiful in the game. The one thing I'm picky about is animation or characters and ragdoll physics in how they die and the AI and how stupid they are literally. Ubisoft has ever so slightly keeps moving forward in their content especially in Graphical Fidelity, but as in gameplay and polishing a game... Ehhhhh

basically low difficulty game. Even in Wildlands, turning your hud to the yellow state means the enemies find you in 10 seconds or less

Why it's basically 1 mission repeated 1000x times. It's repetitive beyond belief. Same thing over and over.. Get a sniper put silencer on.. That's it... Its just not fun.
this is freeroam and it completely depends on your playstyle, yeah Sniper is the easiest and most useful method but its not the only one.
The terrain seems so bland. Wildlands map had WAY more detail.

Ai doesn't react at all. Hey what was that? All teams check in? *static... Marcus report in over?*static... Delta 35 report in over?*static... Meh, half the base is dead or deserted but I'm willing to bet it's nothing. Roger continuing patrol, all clear. Oh yeah we lost eyes with the drone. Darn thing must be on the friz again. I'll have Jones look into it.
