Yes those celica gt-s's are actually pretty sweet Buddy's mom had one like 15 years ago when we were just getting our drivers licenses. I remember the seats being so damn comfortable, even for being a harder compound race inspired bucket seat. Pretty sweet car for a couple 16-17 year old kids to be rolling around in, in peak fast and furious era.

BN Sports were cool back in the early ‘00s for sure and always brought crowds at TAS but even back then I preferred GP Sports and M-Sports kits. You are right about the Type X wing. Even though I love it. It does have bad angles🤷🏽♂️
i think thats the thing most folks dont understand about wangan wings, especially the TBO wing i reproduce. it has NO bad angles. the "type x" wing only looks good at certain angles, others its very anemic and misshapen. and i totally agree with you on the old GP Sports (hence why i reproduce the Type-R aero line) and M-Sports. always dug that popular M-Sports kit thats still around today. M-Sports kit is a little too aggressive for my tastes, but still awesome looking none the less :D
Disagree with Dorkidori. Owned my S13 for 24 years and ran both styles (even the overly rounded Bomex bumper/skirts/valance kits). Kouki aero all the way.

Sometimes you can make a statement with a car part. Not everything needs to conform to "design language." What hair fits the design language of a head? Buzz cut, bald, bowl haircut. Uniform, smooth. All can be decent, design language fitting shapes for the head. Asymmetrical haircuts exist though, and nothing on the face's design language is asymmetrical, at least not intentionally. Mohawks, pompadours, funny shaped afros exist too. They make much louder statements like the Type X. Wangan wings on the other hand are the haircut you'd have at your parents' house. Clean, classy, different from what you'd wear with your friends. In short, it's style.
BN Sports Type 3 was actually made in TWO versions for the 180sx, this specific KBD one is the version that was made for the BN BLISTER overfenders, which are ALOT wider than other overfenders, and thats the reason it looks absolutely fukin stupid with other fenders which are not even slightly designed the same way.

I actually don't mind that honda front end, hate the colour, but it doesn't look horrible, and I get that s chassis front end parts are getting hard to find and expensive.
See that confirms why I didn't really care much for s13's back then because it seemed like none of the kits lined up or matched aesthetically and had me questioning why do people like these over the s14/s15/z32 (from an aesthetic standpoint) On another note it seems to me the only way to make some of those s13 kits look good is when the car has a full livery. I'm guessing it's due to how it hides the body lines but once I fully see it on a 1 color it's kinda ass. Now I do like them more but it's gotta have the right kit or just be stock. Maybe dorkidori could make a better type x wing that is a bit wider. Somewhere between the regular type x wing and the 326 wing so that it sits nice against the body without the obnoxious overhang of a 326.

I was never a fan of the BN Sports type 3 kit, the type 2 however is sick. Still, my favorite kits for the hatch are hot road and sexy style, and probably a dmax type 1 or vertex kit for the coupe

Sorry, but the Type X wing is based and the Wangan wing just looks weird and out of place. The Wangan wing is too big and bulky for the fairly slender car that a 180sx fastback is. The Wangan wing looks like a giant cement slab sitting on the trunk in the parking lot of a Home Depot while the owner rents a truck. I disagree completely with this community college design assessment presented in this video. That Celica body kit is gross, though. Wing is OK, but that organic shape body kit crap that was big in the early 00's is disgusting.
if youre referring to the black wangan wing in THIS video... this was an old bomex wing and i was never a fan of this one. the TBO wing that i replicate that doesnt extend out to the end of the bumper, THAT looks good... also keep in mind, there were A LOT of different style wangan wings that came out in the 90s ;)
Glad you're standing up for the type X. I don't even have any skin in this (I drive a honda) but I think the Type X wing looks nice from what I've seen. Not every car part or line needs to conform to overall "design language" or whatever the fuck. A wing can add something completely new and it often does across many platforms. In a way it can be like hair. Different texture and shape from the rest of your face, but brings something new. Design is so subjective. 80s hair was hot in the 80s and now look at it.
I don't think the the type x wing is ugly, they should have made a few changes to the lines to make it compliment the rear end of the hatch better. I don't care for the wangan style either, but i prefer the hatch without any wing on it at all. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

lol far from hating. BN Sports had a MUCH larger body kit line during the 2000s, the bulk of which has been discontinued. the remaining items (and the one that KBD replicated) are very mistmatched and aesthetically wrong when you are able to see and understand why.

TBO wangan wing was designed with the shape and lines of the car in mind. the "type x" wing was an afterthought on Nissans part. something to simply add to the car to give it a more "modern" feel, but really didnt mix with the over all design language of the hatch. the hatch is a smooth car. the "type x" wing doesnt carry that smoothness with it. TBO wangan wing carries said smooth design language. wangan wings really only worked with late 80s/early 90s vehicles that incorporated the particular hatch/fastback aesthetic including the FC, 1st gen DSM, S13 hatch... even the Mk3 and Mk4 supra, plus FD fall into this catagory as all were hatch/fastbacks as well.
