He went on an adventure / educational tour and tried to show the Dodap Gad(fort) In the State of Maharashtra In India. This place has its own history and was used by Empire.More the forts, stronger it is, was considered better as it was not easy for the enemy to capture it. But rather it was easy for the people that lived on it to defeat the enemy. The forts in Mahrashtra are main the ones that were used to fight against the enemy. The dodapGad Fort must have been used lastly by the Marathas for defending themselves. There are many forts in Maharashtra(Sahyadri Montain range) which are Wonders In World. Forts can be built on top of and inside the mountain. With straight walls like these you didn't need additional man made fort walls for centuries until guns were available in abundance in India.

If you look at it this way you can also say that by doing that it stops much people/tourists to come thereby maintaining the place's pristine state...and Maharashtra state treasury is quite rich amongst state treasuries in all of india anyway .. the state tourism has done quite well in terms of generating wealth and maybe the higher ups (in the govt)don't want the saturation of these sites to modern eyes and actions
