I have a feeling that GX and Zexal are the type of show that's rather silly and gets heavier as it goes. GX started out really shaky but people rave about Season 4 (still wish it would have been dubbed). From about episode 13 onwards Zexal gets a massive plot boost which really helps, but I can't blame anyone for finding it to silly, especially when you compare it to the original and 5D's.

Shaman king was awsome
I think that the original and 5D's hook you in faster due to the greater threats in each, so any downsides to the plot are off-set by more interesting elements that keep things going. Plus their main characters are generally more likeable since they are clear underdogs in many respects that have a lot to fight for. Jaden's lazy and GX takes a while to get going with all the highschool drama and Zexal suffers from much the same with Yuma being rather insufferable and all the "friend" episodes.

There were other songs that were better than this one. I dont See why they picked this song except to have an opening as bad as their english voice actors or the english censorship of 5d's. I'm going back to watching the Subbed (A.k.A the better) version.
