Hyper Drive was a song I definitely loved. It's one of those songs that's so sweet, yet so short that it leaves you wanting more. Or at least, that's the feeling I got after hearing it for the first time. Ever since then, I've wanted to do something with it to make it just seem to last longer without sounding choppy or garbled. The product was an added nearly 30 seconds of music.. Not much, I know, but I make sure to mostly use sounds from the song itself to make my remixes. So, with limited materials from the song's original version, I give to you, Hyper Drive [EC]!

Oh my god is love to see an even longer version of this, it's been over a decade and everyone still wants the full version of hyperdrive, but I guess the fans have to do it ourselves :')

This song is the English opening theme song for Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's, which was chosen from a list of different English themes 4Kids cooked up for their dubbing of the Anime. The original theme for this show was in JAP and sounded nothing like this song. I don't know all the details but, it would be my best guess that 4Kids decided it would be cheaper to have a song made for the series rather than paying the original theme song's artist to allow them the right to dub JAP to ENG.
The closest we'll get to a full version, unfortunately. Wish Cass Dillon did a full version.

Hearing this on TV and listening to that part of him singing reminds a bit the singer from coheed and cambria but more appropriate
I still prefer Kizuna, Last Train ~Atarashi Asa~, Freedom, Believe in Nexus and Asu e no Michi -Going My Way- as openings, but this is probably my favorite English-only opening to any anime.
Up there with the opening to Groove Adventure Rave.
Main character to be more specific
tbh Yusei, Jack and Crow are some of the best characters in the series
Yusei was the only cool yu-gi-oh character
Inmate #5580 outside of the original Yugi and Atem of course
