What is the purpose of "Clear" command in your worksheet?

clear() cleared the stored values of the slope coefficient and the y-intercept coefficient; in that spot of the worksheet, if you did m= or b= without clearing, it would give the entire vector of the SAE Steel Bolts. (m=2.4, 3.06, 2.965, 3.095, 3.095, 3.095). I think the table is meant to be looked at more than used in calculations, so the values are cleared so they can't affect things.
m & b are then redefined again when making the Grade combo box, so if you do m= or b= after the combo box, you'll only get one value (the current selected value in the combo box).
If you remove the clear() function altogether, nothing will actually change if the user doesn't try to do things between the SAE Steel Bolts and the Combo Box.
I'm going to guess it's a personal fail-safe preference by @CADPLMGuy , who designed the worksheet knowing that PTC would make it available for public download.
