Hey everybody! Here is a lesson on the metabolism of vitamin D, the role of vitamin D calcitriol in calcium absorption and why we actually need vitamin D to absorb calcium in our diet!
    Topics discussed in this video:
How is calcium absorbed in the body?
    What is Vitamin D Calcitriol?
What is the role of Vitamin D Calcitriol in calcium absorption?
Why do we need to eat Vitamin D?

calcitriol vitamin 1,25OH2d3, the active hormone, is immediately degraded by enzymes. Keep in mind that this video is only about the endocrine (systemic release of calcitriol from the kidney, which is in very minute amounts on an as need basis regulated by the level of calcium, which regulates the level of PTH which is what then acts on the molecule (vitamin d binding protein + 25OH) to be converted to calcitriol. It is in very small amounts. As always every cell in the body uses calcitriol, but the majority of the cells in the body do not function using the "endocrine", but rather the autocrine/paracrine, and in that matter, the preferrable metabolite is not calcitriol, nor is it bound calcidiol (25OHd), but rather cholecalciferol the sun made/or supplement, that is then made inside cells to the active calcitriol to enable the cells to access to its own DNA instructions, or cytosol, of proper function of translation, transcription and gene expression. In this presentation, understandably focusing on only vitamin d and calcium,. but really the major job of vitamin d is immune modulation, gene translation, transcription and expression. see this article for a good summary of metabolites. Don't forget Vitamin D only brings calcium to the blood and doesn't help it get placed to the bones. K2 and Manganese both do this and should be taken with high doses of Vitamin D.

Breaking down your claims, you maintain that thermal energy is the impetus for order. Again, can you please point to an observable example of this in nature, in which complete void and disarray lends itself to order simply based on its energy potential?
You see, giving something a name doesn't make it any more plausible.

      @gloriagirgis 4 года назад

@@jnv1971 The inception of the sun and the process of photosynthesis are not observable. Their effects, yes, are observable -- but their origin of being cannot be observed. It was given to us this way by nature. Let us take God completely out of the picture for a moment.
We are plopped here into existence by whatever process. Now we live in an environment that is ordered. We observe that water falls naturally to the earth and helps things grow, including a host of delicacies to feed from, many of which having natural packaging to protect it from the environment (peel and shells). We see a delicate chain of balance in organisms. We see all living beings naturally reproducing, even having sexual desire to encourage it. We observe the human body and its 11 systems working closely together to maintain homeostasis, having tissues perfectly suited to lining, absorbing, and protecting. The disgestive system alone is enough to inspire a human inventor. Nay, inventors all across time have looked at things in nature to inspire them, the airplane having been born out of the ingenuity of a bird's wings.
My question, then, is, the inception of this order. Every piece of sophisticated machinery that we see today, such as the iPhone, the computer, rockets, even the lowly toaster -- they were all constructed with intentional design for an intentional purpose - exactly like we see in nature around us.
In fact, structure and function are so closely linked in nature that we cannot discuss one without discussing the other. This was a prerequisite piece of knowledge for the study of anatomy.
No one would look at the computer and say that it didn't have an intelligent designer behind it, even if you were to leave the parts laying around for billions of years (leavinf aside the fact that the parts themselves are still designed for the function). It's nonsensical to say that things with intentional design in their functions have no intelligent mind behind them.

If you do not get much sun, take 4000 IU D3.
You need 500mg Magnesium, 1000mg calcium and 4700mg potassium everyday.
It is best to get it in the food you eat. Supplement with 200 mcg K2 if you do not get it in your food.
The K2 gets the calcium into the bones etc.

Stop taking your calcium supplement. You Don't need it, it will only do you harm.

Don't forget Vitamin D only brings calcium to the blood and doesn't help it get placed to the bones. K2 and Manganese both do this and should be taken with high doses of Vitamin D.
