It occurs to me that Tak showed how bad Dib really was at handling aliens. The moment he encountered a competent one (ie not Zim) he was completely fooled. He and Zim really are perfect for each other.
He had tunnel vision. He was so focused on the obvious alien Zim that he didn’t notice the more subtle one. If Zim wasn’t there he probably would have caught on in time.
That's why Earth is the perfect assignment for Zim. He can fully live out his destructive incompetence on a planet that is of no consequence to the Empire.
Tbh the symbol doesn’t really look like the traditional symbol we seen, but the cat is a good point although Dib would’ve been more suspicious since you know his whole “supernatural” interests would make him gravitate looking into her whole shtick.
Tak is such an underrated character. She deserved way more screentime in this series. Also, I feel like under different circumstances, Tak and Gaz would be the ultimate power duo.

its not a honk or a sound affect, you can hear that in zims voice plenty of times, mostly when hes laughing though, i think its good voice acting that its not just a super clear voice, that its got random stuff like that in it, since that kinda stuffs out of your control
that "honk" is the vocal talents of Steven Horvitz, Zims VA and the actual noise is from him throwing his voice so hard for the emphasis that is strains. Sorta like laughing with a snort, this is calling out with a honk. You can hear it when he strains every now and again. Its not an added sound effect. Im also almost certain Steven Horvitz does it by design ON Purpose. He is an amazing cartoon VA

I love how I remember watching Invader Zim on its initial release date and even all these years later it's still humorous to me. Truly, one of the last legendary kids shows of all time.
Honestly if Invader Zim gets a proper reboot: I'd love if Zim was accidently a hero in every episode. He gets so deft at conquering the Earth, he starts saving it.
I wish the opening intro after this episode had been changed so that in addition to seeing Zim standing and laughing on top of Earth you see GIR nearby laughing on the moon.
To all the fans who wanted her to appear in the movie(which I wanted her to appear as well) she was supposed to make an appearance at the end credits scene but the creator as he believed that if there where to be a sequel he didn’t want to enforce Tak into the movie and that the plot harder to write if the plan changed over time
Yknow what I realized I love about Tak aside just being cool and villainous? She's a girl, yet despite being more competent than Zim(which....is really not hard to be)- SHE IS NOT A STRAIGHTMAN. She is as loud, violent, psychotic, goofy, and bombastically unapologetically evil as he and near everyone else in this show is. It would in almost any other show been guaranteed that she was just a normal down to earth cool 'boss girl warrior' archetype, or sympathetic cute girl nerd, who just eye rolls at Zim and has it all together. Likely would have been instantly made Dib or Zim's random love interest on the spot. But she is. Not. Tak's STILL is as flawed and shortsighted and angry and unabashedly cruel as Zim and the rest of Irk. Even with her competence, and tech, and slightly better awareness of the Almighty Tallest being dumb leaders, she still gets an absurd loud evil laugh, she still gets the seething inner hate, and still gets every chance to be stupid or hilarious or wrong or aggravated or defeated as any of the main guys in the script. THIS is what writing good female characters looks like in a show!

I think Irkens have different ingredients in their snacks and drinks. They might've invented snacks, humans probably just came up with it on their own.
