Personally, I think maceration/letting your fragrances "mature" is 100% a real thing, and not just with arabic fragrances. For example, I have a sample of Sisley Soir de Lune. When I first sprayed it (and several sprays after), it smell like pure barbershop and VERY vintage. I was like WHOA, ok, I don't get the note pyramid at all. Yet, something kept me interested. Weeks later, I spray it again and it had transformed big time. It is a dark, gothic, rose. Very beautiful. Not at all barbershop anymore. Some fragrances just need to cook a little.
It's the truth though some perfumes get better with time but I see your frustration it should smell good from first spray to last. I am not surprised middle Eastern perfumes smell amazing. They have been making perfumes for centuries. I also love how they put effort in their packaging. My only middle Eastern perfume is Mizyaan by Ajmal awesome oil
That's not how they should be sold. Brands are aware how long it takes and for me there is no need to buy a perfume not being able to use it immediately. It will end up on the shelf anyway

The abrupt change in hairstyle threw me for a loop. 😆 Finally got around to picking up Kayaan Classic and it's a wonderfully sweet DHI iris that lasts and lasts. Now my go-to iris for layering. Loving the shirt Yana!

Liam Grey is a wonderful black tea unisex perfume I’m currently loving. It’s fresh, sweet, herbal, slightly powdery and subtle creamy vanilla in the drydown with some soft spices. I adore it.

Hibiscus Magic (#3) & Ajwad Pink to Pink (#1) are both supposed to be clones of Hibiscus Mahajad. Are they? Which do you prefer?
your no 1 is polarising, YARA is said to smell boring like Juicy Couture that's why I never boughta sample. If you like L'Interdit I can recommend Lattafa FAKHAR Rose but the best arabic dupe I have tried amoungst about 35 is the dupe of ARMANI PRIVE ROUGE MALACHITE, actually identical minus the polarisingg sage bottle wchich makes it better than the oryginal! it is ROUGE by EMPER !

You are wrong lol, bs or not. With middle eastern fragrances, they need to maturate. Check the bottling dates on the boxes, sometimes you can get them only a month from when they were bottled. You may want it good on first spray, 99% of the time you won't get the full effect though.
Maybe middle eastern frags aren't the right fit for you.
Maybe they should be sold after the proper period of time so customers are satisfied?
Maybe that's why they're generally cheaper, because you need to do part of the process yourself?
How long do I need to leave. I just bought my first middle Eastern fragrance sehr by lattafa,and when I first sprayed it I liked it,but once it dried it was horrifyingly nauseating and powerful to the point that one spray made me feel sick everytime I smelt it... it was bottle may 2024 and I received it today
