Although I really like ICP, they do have one major flaw being the requirements of running a node which are so hefty that a normal user just can't run it. That makes it actually much more centralized again, to the point where most nodes may end up running in clouds or data centers, completely defeating the purpose of what ICP is trying to do. Same reason why so many people are against what SOL is doing.
Most if not all POS blockchains have this problem, see for example 32 ETH to be a validator. At least ICP has the governance and validation seperated. NNS is infinitly scalable everone can participate and that governs the node topology above others. Neuron Governance is decentralized, infinilty scalabe and has barely any cost and thats above and controls the nodes so at the highest level it's decentralized and it influances all levels below.

Have jumped into ICP, but seems pretty flat for the month. About 12% up so not exactly setting the crypto world on fire. But love the passion you show towards icp
They’re just no way I’m gonna dump every bit of my money into this project. Underlying tech really does not seem to matter when it comes to price in a bull market. Most of my positions are concentrated in coins that have already shown strength, regardless of fundamentals - narrative and hype is what drives price in crypto. I do have a decent amount of ICP though, As my rational/fundamental play. If they make good on what they’re trying to achieve, seems like it would be quite massive in the long run, so definitely worth it to have a position.
I have small amounts of some altcoins in my ledger n they r basically stuck b cause eth fees too high. Hadn't tried in prolly a year. So this morning grabbed an old ledger of mine n tried seeing what it'd take to transfer $130 of amp onto an exchange. The fee is $20+ for sending $130? That don't even make sense .. went to see how much it'd charge to transfer a mere $70 of yfi .. $14 to transfer $70... Unbelievable.. eth n eth tokens suck .badly.
Jerry , is their any way you can buy ICP on a dex with a credit or debit instead of an exchange without paying ridiculous fees. I've looked back on plenty of your videos creating FUD which 80% were opposite of what you said but what I do like is ICP at most being a 15-20x. ICP is too far ahead. No one who reads code has an idea of the gibberish within it which means it's still 7-10 years away from being realized
The tech is ahead of anything else and all the fud comes from competitors. It removes the need for bridges, oracles, web2 storage, is EVM compatible and utopia will make it enterprise grade.
Great video Jerry and I do agree with you on a lot of this stuff but I have some major questions about ICP. I am on there but really felt like the DeFi offereings weren't there to allow me to do what I needed to do. No stable coin that would allow me to lever my ICP to get some USDC or something. I wouldn't want to lever against it to get ckETH or ckBTC just to come back to those native chains and get my teeth smashed out with fees. I'm hoping they do the ckSOL soon and ckDOGE. Also there just didn't seem to be very much activity in the NFT space on there which is concerning considering we are in a full blown bull market at this point and the NFTs are going crazy on ETH and SOL.
Noticed the rewards have dropped recently. Was getting 16% and now getting 15.8%. How quickly will it diminish and will it be enough to mean it's not worth staking (at which point our ICP is locked for 8 years!)?

BTC cannot be mass adoption. The fees are ridiculous, in poor countries how the hell are they going to pay these ridiculous fees from peer to peer. When I say poor countries I mean the US as as well. BTC and ETH SUCK ASS! specially with ETH. Last bull run ETH fees were so HIGH that if an average person wanted to cash out on a ALT coin based on ETH, the fees were 20 to 50% of their profit. WTF is it good for. ICP is a different story. Thanks Jerry!

I love icp I do it’s the best easiest tech out very efficient and it’s really game changer but this is crypto Jerry and u know they can care less about the tech they care about the new shinny nugget and if difinity don’t get on there job with marketing the tech which am sure who ever they market it to will love it they are going to be the best tech that got left behind.. cardano is definitely better eth and as u can see it has done nothing as far as price ..

Although I really like ICP, they do have one major flaw being the requirements of running a node which are so hefty that a normal user just can't run it. That makes it actually much more centralized again, to the point where most nodes may end up running in clouds or data centers, completely defeating the purpose of what ICP is trying to do. Same reason why so many people are against what SOL is doing.

Most if not all POS blockchains have this problem, see for example 32 ETH to be a validator. At least ICP has the governance and validation seperated. NNS is infinitly scalable everone can participate and that governs the node topology above others. Neuron Governance is decentralized, infinilty scalabe and has barely any cost and thats above and controls the nodes so at the highest level it's decentralized and it influances all levels below.

I bought 100 ICP last year planning to sell it later this year but the more I learn, the more I realise it's a keeper.
They’re just no way I’m gonna dump every bit of my money into this project. Underlying tech really does not seem to matter when it comes to price in a bull market. Most of my positions are concentrated in coins that have already shown strength, regardless of fundamentals - narrative and hype is what drives price in crypto. I do have a decent amount of ICP though, As my rational/fundamental play. If they make good on what they’re trying to achieve, seems like it would be quite massive in the long run, so definitely worth it to have a position.
I have small amounts of some altcoins in my ledger n they r basically stuck b cause eth fees too high. Hadn't tried in prolly a year. So this morning grabbed an old ledger of mine n tried seeing what it'd take to transfer $130 of amp onto an exchange. The fee is $20+ for sending $130? That don't even make sense .. went to see how much it'd charge to transfer a mere $70 of yfi .. $14 to transfer $70... Unbelievable.. eth n eth tokens suck .badly.

Great video Jerry and I do agree with you on a lot of this stuff but I have some major questions about ICP. I am on there but really felt like the DeFi offereings weren't there to allow me to do what I needed to do. No stable coin that would allow me to lever my ICP to get some USDC or something. I wouldn't want to lever against it to get ckETH or ckBTC just to come back to those native chains and get my teeth smashed out with fees. I'm hoping they do the ckSOL soon and ckDOGE. Also there just didn't seem to be very much activity in the NFT space on there which is concerning considering we are in a full blown bull market at this point and the NFTs are going crazy on ETH and SOL.

BTC cannot be mass adoption. The fees are ridiculous, in poor countries how the hell are they going to pay these ridiculous fees from peer to peer. When I say poor countries I mean the US as as well. BTC and ETH SUCK ASS! specially with ETH. Last bull run ETH fees were so HIGH that if an average person wanted to cash out on a ALT coin based on ETH, the fees were 20 to 50% of their profit. WTF is it good for. ICP is a different story.
