    Wow, that would have been extremely stressful, but you appear to have handled it with ease. Well done.

    • @Thebluelandy
      @Thebluelandy  Год назад +1

      For me the most stressful part was for sure entering Iran. As we had so many open questions regarding the visa rejection. But it was no problem, 2 min to get in at the airport. The second concern was that I was driving across the border a car that is not in my name. We got an official statement saying I'm allowed to do it and translate it to Persian and Arabic. In the end nobody bother at all in the border, anybody could have taken the car out.

      It's a bit funny, given how Kia(forgive my spelling) was treated with the visa. What you produced was the best advert for visiting Iran I have seen. The landscapes and the people, amazing quit apart from the amazing history.

    Estoy flipando contigo. Bien cruzado !!!
    Yo tb se la sensacion cuando al fin empiezas a conducir en el pais nuevo. Se te olvida las horas de frontera.
    Alguna recomendación para cuando cruce a Iran? Deberia hacer la visa en Madrid ?
    O puedo hacerla on arrival en la frontera turca?

    • @Thebluelandy
      @Thebluelandy  3 месяца назад +1

      Fue intenso si! La visa con antelación si vas a cruzar por tierra. Si la puedes hacer en Madrid bien, pero recuerda que tienes un par de meses entre la confirmación y la entrada en el país. Nosotros la hicimos en Estambul.

    Hi, incredible travel that you do! How safe is Iraq now for overlanding?

    • @Thebluelandy
      @Thebluelandy  Год назад

      Hi! Thanks, we are enjoying it a lot ☺️ at the moment we think it's a good time to overland in Iraq. The borders are open, you can do visa on arrival (depends your nationality).There are a lot of people driving in the country right now. But there is still a lot of military control and checkpoints, so it is not stress free.

    That wasn’t a good series of decisions, no vehicle or possessions are worth that kind of risk.

    • @Thebluelandy
      @Thebluelandy  Год назад +8

      Hi!! I believe risk perception is partially subjective. From outside it can appear to be dangerous, but once you know about the country first hand, you realize is the opposite. Normally we think something is dangerous because we don't know about it. We were for more than 45 days in Iran , north ,south, east, west. Iranians are the most friendly and helpful people we have met in our trip so far (please note, Iranian people, not the Regime). Apart from knowing how things work in the country, we know people in Iran that were informing us live about the situation (protests). Traveling alone as a woman might appear to be dangerous, but it is the opposite, everyone that I met was wanting to help me get to my destination. This border is used by soooo many foreigners at the moment. It is safe and as I showed in the video I got help by all the border staff. I understand the perception from outside, I would have thought the same 3 months ago, but this video is the prove , things are not as our Media shows us.

      @jdenmark1287 Год назад

      @@Thebluelandy I agree with about the people of Iran and most Middle East countries in general. It’s that little bit about the regime that’s the elephant in the room. It’s like traveling in Iraq or Afghanistan, it’s all good until the point it isn’t, and then it is very, very, very bad.
      I’m glad you got to experience the wonderful people of Persia and made it through with flying colors!
