One underrated plus about Iran’s armed forces is that it’s by and large not only domestically made but rarely modelled after other existing technology. That element makes it tricky for opponents to easily know how to counter them.
Rarely modelled after other tech is a stretch, speaking of how the majority of their functional drones, helicopters, and parts of their air force are American designs. Nor are their modern developments very different from Cold War era designs.

love the the channel but remember this as far more propaganda than documentary. even ignoring USA wiped have their navy with mostly older slower jets years ago, they don't have the numbers to do much against a modern force. plus few nations already designed and tried out this design years ago. just because they didn't mass produce the design doesn't mean they iran version isn't modeled after it.

Iran's navy is so fascinating to me.
First, their modern and powerful corvettes are not only pretty modern for a country sanctioned to such a hard degree.
but also some of the best looking warships (in my opinion).
And then secondly their drone carrier is such a cool and in this era important concept noone else is actually building currently besides iran.

That corvette seems very weak in terms of radar and electronic systems. Compare the image of a real modern corvette with the Iranian corvette. Modern corvettes have a large turret filled with many radar and electronic systems.

This is a very neat design for a ship! The fact that they went with the catamaran hull for a corvette is a great choice, considering the specific roles that corvettes are meant perform. (Not to mention, I personally find the catamaran hulls to be very underappreciated)

It has three fast little boats that could intercept kamikaze drones. More defensive autocannons and a higher speed.
Keep in mind that the Russian Sergei Kotov is a large offshore PATROL vessel, not a corvette, meaning it no surprising that they doesn’t have the fire power compare to the Shadid corvette

Excellent video. Just one minor thing I'd point out is that its called the Shaheed Soleimani. Shaheed means martyr. That is a different word than the "Shahed" (as in Shahed drone) which means witness.
We have not used the Grad systems on our boats for a long time, and we have replaced these inaccurate and close-range missiles with light anti-ship missiles and Top Attack anti-armor missiles. Hey, don't show these 1980 models of ours in your programs, now our boats attack from a range of 30 kilometers and at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

They got a lot more fast missile boats . The missiles on those boats are now reaching over 300km. That's nothing to do with soviet era missiles. They got ultra modern and a variety of antiships missiles that they developed domestically. They also got submarines and boats, capable of shooting torpedoes that only Russia and Iran have it, with speeds up to 400 km per hour. So they got much more sophisticated weaponry to sink any ships or aircraft careers with the range of at least 1000km. That was one of the main reasons why Teump decided not to attack Iran. The information about the Iranian navy force in this video is very outdated or limited, to say the least.
The weakened Iranian military after the 1979 revolution fought Iraqis who were armed to the teeth, backed by the entire world including US who helped with many things including intel, weapons and strategy, used all types of illegal weapons including chemicals and yet Iran won the war and the only reason they didn't completely conquer Iraq was the fact that they willingly signed a treaty.
Most people don't know that when the Islamic revolution happened those maniacs executed 13000 highly sophisticated military officers from Shah's military and got rid of many military assets. I absolutely hate current Iranian regime but you need to understand that Iranians have been in war for literally 7500 years and they've fought pretty much every superpower in history from the Greeks and Romans to Egyptian and many others and won most of those wars. So you'd be a fool to underestimate them even when they're in their worst condition.

Not that it matters much but your off in a few places. The Soulamani belongs to the IRGC navy, not the Iranian Navy. The diagram is off, the VLS is in the wrong place you then ID it as the ASM when it's not. The "Bell and Cobra" helicopters? They are both Bell one is a Huey the other a cobra and the 412 is a Agusta Bell imported for non military use but converted and still modern, a cargo /multi role variant. the Bell 212 is the asw variant. Neither are "heavy" they are med weight helicopters. Iran now produces both Helicopters (Huey and Cobra) you speak of via Hesa which is their aviation manufacture. The Tondar class is the c14 china cat. It is not equipped with rockets at all, but has 4 c802 ASM. It has the zu 23 aft and a twin AK230 30mm on the bow, ten boats in service and they were delivered in the eighties. The Rockets used in the IRIN are usually 140mm A22 Ogon, designed for naval use and not grad 122mm rockets. ( Grads 122mm have been mounted on other platforms) While it sounds like splitting hairs it is still better to be accurate,
