    What one has to love about Paige is that she doesn't have to score 29 pts a game to lift her team - I mean, she can, but her overall play, assists (watch her other teammates assist each other), steals, and overall General leadership are what makes UConn #1. Team chemistry and skill are blended just right and Paige is the chef.

    She can score with volume, create shots for herself and her teammates, and get to the foul line with alarming frequency - all while rarely holding the ball for a long stretch. And her defense has improved ALOT since high school; she has the length to disrupt on that end, and she increasingly knows how to use it.

    Just saw Bueckers for the first time, yesterday. Love the braided hair. How does U Conn get legendary players like this? I used to watch U Conn a lot. Even when the U Conn guys were winning, I favored watching Auriemma's steam rolling chick team. But. That was a long time ago. I was going to stop after Bird and the two other U Conn greats graduated, but then I saw Taurasi with 2 more years to go. So. I watched her and then I stopped watching. I don't know if they won since then. You can guarantee, the other top seeds do NOT want to encourage Bueckers' stellar play by putting her and her team on a streak of one NCAA Div 1 Championship, going into her sophomore year. You let things get away from you, when you're talking about severe talent and skill, it could mushroom pretty fast into something way too difficult to handle.

    Paige Bueckers can become the best female basketball player to ever play the game, the real GOAT. It´s a waste of time for her to continue playing College basketball. If she can´t go to the WNBA next season, she should just go to Europe and start playing against pros, just like Luka Doncic and Lamelo Ball did. This girl is on another level. She´ll be the face of the WNBA. She´s the reason I and thousands of other people are watching girl´s basketball. Looking forward to her bright future.

    • @brucetalley3798
      @brucetalley3798 3 года назад +1

      She can continue enjoying playing for UConn while also earning a degree, and still play in the WNBA when she finishes college if she chooses. She had an ankle injury that sidelined her for a bit in high school, and has played with a hurt ankle with UConn, as well. Not sure if it was the same ankle both times, but injuries can unexpectedly end sports careers, and she may actually enjoy getting an education that she can use later in life. She led her high school team to the state championship game four times and they won the state title when she was a junior (she started playing varsity as an 8th grader). Due to COVID-19, there was no state tournament her senior year. So maybe Paige would really enjoy the opportunity to lead UConn to a national championship (or two or four) before she goes pro. She obviously loves the game, and while she could earn money playing it, there's a different spirit to the game on the collegiate level. The memories and friends she will make playing for UConn will be worth far more to her in the long run than a few extra years earning money in the pros.

    •  3 года назад +1

      @@brucetalley3798 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I suggested her to go to Europe because we know how short a basketball career is. You have only about 10 years to do the best you can and make as much as you can. If she starts making money now, she can retire when she´s 30, 35, and then she can study or use her money to start any other business, or become a basketball coach. If she keeps playing in college and suddenly gets seriously injured, and finish her career earlier than expected, she would have lost a great chance to make a lot of money. That´s why nowadays most top athletes are one and done, there´s no time to lose, time is money, and your whole career could end with one bad play. But I agree it must be amazing being a college student, you´re a celebrity there, you have hundreds of friends who are your age, you don´t have the responsibilities that a pro has. I see that many players would love to continue having this life for a few more years, Zion would love to play one more year in Duke, but money talks.

      @@mprice6683 you cant tell which is better. Paige and Caitlin have such a different style of playing. Caitlin is a top scorer and paige is a more of team player, leader and doing her position as a guard, to make a play and pass to her open teammates.

      @@radcaileigh8089 Except that when they both played in their freshman year, Caitlin had more assists. Last year, Paige was injured, but Caitlin lead women's NCAA basketball in assists. Tell me how the woman with more points, more rebounds and more assists is not the playmaker? Paige is great but she is a huge hype machine.

    • @mprice6683

      @@radcaileigh8089 Caitlin has very little support on her team, yet lead them deep into the NCAA tournament. UConn is stacked with talent but can't when a national championship. Paige chokes. UConn got far in the tournament and Paige literally had NOTHING to do with it. She wasn't even the second best player on the team. Without Caitlin, Iowa loses in the first round. Get some perspective.
