Isopropyl/rubbing alcohol helps with cleaning corrosion off with a toothbrush. For pins/traces that are oxidized, you can rub them with a pencil eraser to shine them back up.

@@ItsBinhRepaired I worked in a school district for 7 years cleaning all manner of disturbing things off of student laptops since I was basically the only one working on them for the whole district most of that time. They have 6 buildings and were 1:1 all of the way to 2nd grade, kindergarten during emergency situations at the height of the pandemic. We're talking thousands of devices, about 1,400 at the high school alone. I've used rubbing alcohol to remove corrosion countless hundreds of times.
Rubbing alcohol with a toothbrush will literally remove every single trace of corrosion beyond totally burned traces, and can even get it out of badly corroded pins inside of ribbon cable connectors. It removes it well enough that I've been able to send dozens of those systems I was unable to revive in to Dell or Lenovo for warranty repair because they couldn't tell any liquid had ever been present.
I'm trying to be respectful here. I didn't even comment on most of the questionable things I saw in this video. I just offered a tip that I know works, from a lot of experience.

I've tried cleaning corrosion with isopropyl alcohol on some devices and where it fails, vinegar does the job. You do need to dry and rinse the residue afterwards with isopropyl alcohol though.

Thanks man for pulling the latitude 7390 back off and showing me the parts. I was running into the blue screen (of death) sad face and upon auto-reboot, it'd say hard drive not installed among a few other things when I ran diagnostics check. Definitely reaching the end of its life expectancy perhaps. However reseating the DRAM, SSD, and battery, seemed to allow the cpu to boot up and I could login to my profile. Immediately created an image on an external hard drive, also made a restore point on the cpu.
I have a question though, would replacing the SSD make any difference? Or do you think it's just the connection from motherboard to SSD that just needed to be re-established?
Either way, I will probably upgrade the ram and get a new battery, just wonder whether it'd be worthy to change out the SSD chip.
    Thanks,
    Alan

It's not chicken. You wouldn't see a crispy crust if it's fried. You'd have to connect it to another computer with a usb adapter or use software to test it. You'll likely have to replace the drive and install windows from scratch.
