What kind of glue can we use on this type of felt? Would tacky glue work? And is the Hamanaka mat required? Another blog said a dishwasher sponge would work too.

Aw thank you!! It's a drugstore polish from L'Oreal called Pearle de Jade...comes in a fairly small, thin bottle. For the channel I thought it would be fun to wear a different polish in each video, basically an excuse to buy a lot of nail polishes XD

Hi Emily! Have you tried using a rolled up tube to make felt balls? Check 2:01 on this video: Kawaii Roll Cake - DIY Needle Felt Mascots Spheres are a bit tricky because you have to keep poking equally from every angle. If you concentrate too much on one area then the shape will start to change, so keep rotating the ball. Maqaroon always have something on the description box saying how difficult it is. I hope you will check description boxes every time now, because it can get irritating when something is already there.

Cathy Nguyen It definitely takes longer than expected to get the felt nice and dense. You will have to poke for at least 20-30 minutes. When it starts reaching the right firmness, the needle will start leaving holes in the surface of the wool and you can feel resistance when you poke. It will feel a bit like poking into styrofoam rather than wool (the noise also changes slightly and gets 'crunchier'). You can also test it by squeezing the piece...if you fingers can sink into the surface easily then it's not ready. If the wool bounces back quickly like a squishy, then it's the right consistency :). Hope this helps and good luck with your projects!
My arm muscles will be fit then haha ... I tried for now, to just manipulate the wood and the needle correctly, I made a "ball" and tried to poke and roll it for 20min but my fingers still can sink easily, so I think it's not ready.. I think I have to practice and do more haha. It's kinda hard to do !! When I see vids I thought it was kinda fast to do, but in fact it takes some time !! Thank you! The blending is surprisingly easy because the felt has rough/semi see-through edges, and it just happens naturally.

This is time consuming, but a method I use is to focus on the change of the wool (if that makes sense) and just try to satisfy myself by poking :D
