Chipping up trees is one of the most satisfying things...can be a little scary, don't get pulled in, but the result is fabulous wood chips that you know what it came from and so useful!!! Love it.

sorry about the wrong size of the windows. hope you get it right soon. the chipping machine really does a good job on the smaller trees to give you chips, and the cutting out of the smaller trees really makes the pasture look great. the meal of chicken and potatoes really looked goooood that Penelope fixed. always enjoy the video, and you all working together. have a great week.

Going to give you some chainsaw advice, Jason. Do not rev it up with the brake on. If you are giving it gas the brake needs to be disengaged. You can trash your clutch pretty quick doing so

I think the company that sent all the wrong windows to y'all should give you a discount on the second go around. There is no excuse for an error like that, Obviously, you got some one else's windows and they are going through the same situation. Naturally you would want them to get put in before winter. Things are shaping up on the homestead though, a lot has been accomplished this year so far. Penelope, you should be very proud of yourself for fixing such a nice meal for the family. I know for sure Mom & Dad are proud of you. Y'all have a Blessed day.

I too never before used a chainsaw. I asked for an estimate to clear some land and they wanted $4500. My wife and I bought from Lowe’s a chainsaw. We cleared the section and probably did a more thorough job than the professionals would of done.
These days we are doing more DIY projects to save money.

We paid for all new windows for our house last February. All paid for! We're STILL waiting on the windows. Our windows are not normal/common sizes, so they have to be made custom, so they can't just give us mass produced windows. We're told they should be here soon.... ha! We've been told that several times already. :(

Hey Jason. I just had 8 huge trees completely trimmed and cut back. 7 of them were silver maple, 60-70 feet tall. I have four or five HUGE piles of wood chips on our property. You are welcome to as much as you can haul. I'll even sweeten the deal. I will rent a trailer, load it, with a load in my truck, as well as yours and we can make a run. Free of charge. No joke.....real offer. A little drive to Tennessee. Let me know. Happy to let you have some. Save you from having to spend all that time, cutting and chipping.

I hope you contacted your electric company about wood chips to be put on their list.
Many yard maintenance businesses may say they'll bring you some when they have them and they'll put the paper with your name and number in their pocket to add to a list when they get to the office but life happens before it makes it to the list.
Right of way crews for the power companies (especially in rural areas) work full time throughout the year to keep those ROWs clear so they constantly have chips to get rid of. Calling into the office and asking for that department will put you in touch with the person maintaining those lists to ensure you get put on the rotation. Lots of people want them so it may take a while. It's also good to make sure you will remain on the list after your truckload of chips is dropped off.
What you don't want to do is stop when you see a crew out working and give them your info because they don't maintain the list and life happens before they get back to the office.
How do I know? I worked for many years at an electric coop. You can also ask if they have lists for used utility poles and those giant spools of interested in that type of thing.
