This turned out great :) was a it suspicious with the light skin tone at first but you really made it work with the darker colors on his gears and all

Nice video, would the Kroot be a difficult first subfaction/faction to paint?

Hmm - you can do a decent enough job with just contrast paint (I have a video showing this) basic space marines are probably the easiest thing to paint

As always: lovely work. How did you do this base and tactical rock? I'm always curious about your base recepies

Thanks! It was a bit of a mish mash of experimenting to be honest.
I wet blended the rock with XV-88, Jokaero Orange and then Ungor Flesh - nothing fancy I just painted the next layer on while the other was wet and smushed it about.
The sand is AK Desert Sand paste - I then put some Aggaros Dunes contrast on it and realised it was too dark, so gave it a good dollop of contrast medium to thin it out on the base itself - when it was all completely dry, I gave it a light drybrush of bright ivory, and covered it all with matt varnish
