Hey Beautiful! It was so good to see you this morning. The 'rona, circa 2020, has left me broke like a joke this year so I had to do home made gifts. I crochet, knit and am making these really cozy slippers for everyone. They are super simple cause you crochet a rectamgle that folds up to make the slipper. They will have leather soles made from a men's leather coat ($10, local thrift store). You can make them in any size with any weight of yarn. They're comfy and cozy and thanks to my substantial stash of yarn, almost free.

Those bibs are so amazing. My son couldn’t pull them off, which he tended to do with others. I liked that they didn’t say “Daddy’s big guy” or “Mommy’s sweetheart” on them and matched outfits well. Also not easily mixed up at daycare as they are unique.
For my husband, I printed our daughters month pictures (1 thru 12) and am going to frame them and get a large clock mechanism to make a large wall clock out of them! So excited!

Try Sequence for a board game! It makes you think though it’s all about strategy with your partner but I recommend the jumbo size! Makes it fun and easier.

I am so stoked about this mug I ordered off etsy from a Canadian maker. She custom carves mountain ranges into the mug and then there's a glaze that looks like northern lights, and I picked something from a trip my sister-in-law took a few years ago. It's a preorder to be made in January, so I'll give her a spoilers photo and something else I've gotten her but I think it is so cool it'll be worth the wait.
The children I nanny are getting some pretty cool gifts from me: Matilda and The Enormous Crocodile ( two Roald Dahl books), a Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters family with a baby each ( elephant and cat families), some metallic Sharpies for the girl, a dog-themed card game for the boy and a packet of sweets each. My niece and nephew are both getting two books each: What Does an Anteater Eat? and The Wolf Who Didn’t Like Christmas ( in French), then my nephew is getting two Mr Panda books, the Please one and the Thank you one. I especially love the coloring books. My daughter and I have a whole shelf with our family games full of these and fun markers and pens to color them with. Now that she is a teenager, it’s not too “cool” to color with your stepmom, but she still loves that we have some of hers up in frames and she’ll color when she thinks nobody can see her. Lol

I'm super excited to give my husband a new wedding band for Christmas. When we got married his rings actually came in our wedding package. Omg love your recommendations! Especially with those pens. I love the Zebra brand pens and I just recently realized that I have a preference for pens 😅 definitely has to be 0.5 mm and not smudge. I love all those colors too. I’m so excited to get them. Btw I had a small pack of the frixion erasable pens and they did work great- the only problem though was that when I left my paper in the sun that had writing all over it in those colored frixion pens, the ink color disappeared/faded so I had to rewrite my little notes on that paper based on the imprint marks from my handwriting. I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue for a closed book but just something to let you know in case you have this problem too.
My 3yo son loves to play with our neighbor girl with her doll house. So I’m excited to see his reaction when he opens “KidKraft Everyday Heroes Play Set”. It looks awesome!
💯 I'm a self-proclaimed pen snob (lol) kinda 😂😉 I'm super picky about my pens...I actually got the Frixion ones a couple years ago n am obsessed! Love that I can erase them!!! But, for me, they have to be 0.5mm...I prefer the extra fine tip. 🖋️🖊️ The other cool thing about them is that when the ink runs out, you can replace just the ink n don't need to throw away the whole pen. 👍 Pilot 0.5 roller ball pens are my other must haves 😉 I'm definitely gonna take a look at the games n books though!!! For board games, I highly recommend Tokaido and Kingdomino :) I haven't played either of them with small children, but I'm sure it would be enjoyable for your kids as well!
Rach, find a piece of scrapbooking/gift wrap paper that you love. Cut it out to fit the back of your phone case and you can change it out as often as you please. Not only does it make your phone easier to find, but you can also change it out whenever you feel the need for a case change 🙃

Excited to get the "tatical dad" baby carrier for my lil brother. First time what I call hope baby. My husband is getting a new Allet. Allet is an indie wallet company that I learned about in one of James White’s Freakin’ Reviews. The owner of the company sent him a couple of different styles and asked him if he’d include them in a video. James was doing one of his “mail bag” videos and stumbled across that package randomly. He read the owner’s letter and decided to give it a try (after apologizing for having it sit in his mail for so many months). That was in August and when he did his “Best of 2020” this past week, that wallet was in his list. I can’t wait for my hubby to be able to use his. (I bet Chris might like it too.) In the book department, I highly recommend “Yardsticks” by Chip Wood. (Yes, that’s really the author’s name.). It looks at children from ages 4-14, identifying the “yardstick” characteristics in social, emotional, physical and academic development. It’s not just for teachers, it’s for parents and caregivers too. Ever wonder why at a certain age children want to go through bandaids for every little thing, whether they actually need one or not? Chip explains it. Yes, it’s a yardstick time in their development. Teachers of children that age (if I remember correctly, it’s age 9) find that just having really cheap bandaids available to the kids when they “need” one really meets a need that the kids have and their days are better. Seriously, I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

So Blessed is Allâh, the Best of creators.[1] (V.23:14) See the footnote of (V.22:5). آية: 15 ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعۡدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ 15. Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. آية: 20 وَشَجَرَةٗ تَخۡرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيۡنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهۡنِ وَصِبۡغٖ لِّلۡأٓكِلِينَ 20. And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. آية: 21 وَإِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ لَعِبۡرَةٗۖ نُّسۡقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ كَثِيرَةٞ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ 21. Board Game Recs, you say? I have so many. 1. Disney's Villainous - THIS. IS SO. GOOD. You play as a Disney villain, and everyone has different win conditions. I recommend watching the video that is linked on the user manual because the rules are a LITTLE involved, but once you know it, it's SO easy to remember. We just got this for our roommate, and we all LOVE it. 2. Munchkin - a classic, really. Card based RPG style game of random shenanigans. Has almost as many versions/themes as Monopoly at this point. 3. FLUXX - another card based tabletop. The rules are simple: draw a card, then play a card. The rules and win conditions change over time, but despite that, it's a fairly straightforward game. Also has almost as many versions/themes as Monopoly. 4. Quelf - it's like... charades meets trivia night meets improv. You roll a D6, move that many spaces on the board, and draw a card based on the color you land on. You then perform whatever challenge is presented on the card. Fun stuff. 5. Cards Against Humanity - not for children, potentially awkward moments when you play with parents. 10/10 6. Catan - not for everybody. Resource gathering game. 7. Pantheon - its a book that has 5 or 6 different RPG games/rules/scenarios in it. For Pantheon, the only set up you get is "in the beginning, there was nothing. Now what?" And you and your friends basically create the universe (or not, live your best life). Points are awarded for certain actions taken during game play. (This is less board game and more table top RPG, but my household is into that.)

Hey Beautiful! It was so good to see you this morning. The 'rona, circa 2020, has left me broke like a joke this year so I had to do home made gifts. I crochet, knit and am making these really cozy slippers for everyone. They are super simple cause you crochet a rectamgle that folds up to make the slipper. They will have leather soles made from a men's leather coat ($10, local thrift store). You can make them in any size with any weight of yarn. They're comfy and cozy and thanks to my substantial stash of yarn, almost free.

Those bibs are so amazing. My son couldn’t pull them off, which he tended to do with others. I liked that they didn’t say “Daddy’s big guy” or “Mommy’s sweetheart” on them and matched outfits well. Also not easily mixed up at daycare as they are unique.

ثُمَّ خَلَقۡنَا ٱلنُّطۡفَةَ عَلَقَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡعَلَقَةَ مُضۡغَةٗ فَخَلَقۡنَا ٱلۡمُضۡغَةَ عِظَٰمٗا فَكَسَوۡنَا ٱلۡعِظَٰمَ لَحۡمٗا ثُمَّ أَنشَأۡنَٰهُ خَلۡقًا ءَاخَرَۚ فَتَبَارَكَ ٱللَّهُ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلۡخَٰلِقِينَ
14. Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So Blessed is Allâh, the Best of creators.[1]

18. And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.

فَأَنشَأۡنَا لَكُم بِهِۦ جَنَّـٰتٖ مِّن نَّخِيلٖ وَأَعۡنَٰبٖ لَّكُمۡ فِيهَا فَوَٰكِهُ كَثِيرَةٞ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ
19. Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat.

وَشَجَرَةٗ تَخۡرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيۡنَآءَ تَنۢبُتُ بِٱلدُّهۡنِ وَصِبۡغٖ لِّلۡأٓكِلِينَ
20. And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.

My niece and nephew are both getting two books each: What Does an Anteater Eat? and The Wolf Who Didn’t Like Christmas ( in French), then my nephew is getting two Mr Panda books, the Please one and the Thank you one. Omg love your recommendations! Especially with those pens. I love the Zebra brand pens and I just recently realized that I have a preference for pens 😅 definitely has to be 0.5 mm and not smudge. I love all those colors too. I’m so excited to get them. Btw I had a small pack of the frixion erasable pens and they did work great- the only problem though was that when I left my paper in the sun that had writing all over it in those colored frixion pens, the ink color disappeared/faded so I had to rewrite my little notes on that paper based on the imprint marks from my handwriting. I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue for a closed book but just something to let you know in case you have this problem too.

💯 I'm a self-proclaimed pen snob (lol) kinda 😂😉 I'm super picky about my pens...I actually got the Frixion ones a couple years ago n am obsessed! Love that I can erase them!!! But, for me, they have to be 0.5mm...I prefer the extra fine tip. 🖋️🖊️ The other cool thing about them is that when the ink runs out, you can replace just the ink n don't need to throw away the whole pen. 👍 Pilot 0.5 roller ball pens are my other must haves 😉

Rach, find a piece of scrapbooking/gift wrap paper that you love. Cut it out to fit the back of your phone case and you can change it out as often as you please. Not only does it make your phone easier to find, but you can also change it out whenever you feel the need for a case change 🙃

My husband is getting a new Allet. Allet is an indie wallet company that I learned about in one of James White’s Freakin’ Reviews. The owner of the company sent him a couple of different styles and asked him if he’d include them in a video. James was doing one of his “mail bag” videos and stumbled across that package randomly. He read the owner’s letter and decided to give it a try (after apologizing for having it sit in his mail for so many months). That was in August and when he did his “Best of 2020” this past week, that wallet was in his list. I can’t wait for my hubby to be able to use his. (I bet Chris might like it too.)
In the book department, I highly recommend “Yardsticks” by Chip Wood. (Yes, that’s really the author’s name.). It looks at children from ages 4-14, identifying the “yardstick” characteristics in social, emotional, physical and academic development. It’s not just for teachers, it’s for parents and caregivers too. Ever wonder why at a certain age children want to go through bandaids for every little thing, whether they actually need one or not? Chip explains it. Yes, it’s a yardstick time in their development. Teachers of children that age (if I remember correctly, it’s age 9) find that just having really cheap bandaids available to the kids when they “need” one really meets a need that the kids have and their days are better. Seriously, I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

20. And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows (produces) oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.
آية: 21
وَإِنَّ لَكُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَنۡعَٰمِ لَعِبۡرَةٗۖ نُّسۡقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمۡ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ كَثِيرَةٞ وَمِنۡهَا تَأۡكُلُونَ
21. And verily in the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat.

آية: 116
فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ
116. So Exalted be Allâh, the True King: Lâ ilâha illâ Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne!
آية: 117
وَمَن يَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرۡهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ
117. And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allâh, any other ilâh (god), of whom he has no proof; then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kâfirûn (the disbelievers in Allâh and in the Oneness of Allâh, polytheists, pagans, idolaters) will not be successful.
آية: 118
وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ وَٱرۡحَمۡ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّـٰحِمِينَ
118. And say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!"

Board Game Recs, you say?
I have so many.
1. Disney's Villainous - THIS. IS SO. GOOD. You play as a Disney villain, and everyone has different win conditions. I recommend watching the video that is linked on the user manual because the rules are a LITTLE involved, but once you know it, it's SO easy to remember. We just got this for our roommate, and we all LOVE it.
2. Munchkin - a classic, really. Card based RPG style game of random shenanigans. Has almost as many versions/themes as Monopoly at this point.
3. FLUXX - another card based tabletop. The rules are simple: draw a card, then play a card. The rules and win conditions change over time, but despite that, it's a fairly straightforward game. Also has almost as many versions/themes as Monopoly.
4. Quelf - it's like... charades meets trivia night meets improv. You roll a D6, move that many spaces on the board, and draw a card based on the color you land on. You then perform whatever challenge is presented on the card. Fun stuff.
5. Cards Against Humanity - not for children, potentially awkward moments when you play with parents. 10/10
6. Catan - not for everybody. Resource gathering game.
7. Pantheon - its a book that has 5 or 6 different RPG games/rules/scenarios in it. For Pantheon, the only set up you get is "in the beginning, there was nothing. Now what?" And you and your friends basically create the universe (or not, live your best life). Points are awarded for certain actions taken during game play. (This is less board game and more table top RPG, but my household is into that.)
