Every time I watch one of your videos, I find myself laughing, putting my fingers on my temples, shaking my head, and realizing that no matter how good you think you are at something, a master will show you that you actually don’t know shit while saying phrases like “squirting low end.” I’ve said it before, but you are an insane person. A madman. A freak. Informative, humbling, inspiring, and fun. You turn the fundamentals into the bewilderingly stylish. Great video.
Easily my favorite music production RUclipsr. Always full of creative and inspiring ideas that makes it hard to not open up ableton myself to make something
Every video of yours is so inspiring, I can barely finish them and immediately open Ableton to try these ideas out (I do always watch to the end though, because they’re also entertaining).
incredible video, and such a good argument for learning the DAW before getting fancy plugins. this came at a time when i have been looking at giving drums more variety, so thanks!
I made this one and somehow yours sounds better even though I'm not sure what's different. probably minor details right at the resampling stage that just means: train your ears :) But I still love what came out for me.
ned great video mate, one question tho, I can't find echo anywhere in my audio effects and it won't give me an option to buy it in Ableton . what do I do sir ?
I really appreciate the kinds of fun you have with Ableton. Hmmm...'really appreciate' condenses nicely to 'relate'. That too. Have a great weekend, sir. (And I sure wish we had Ableton back when I dropped lots of acid. Don't think it even works on me anymore.)
@@NedRush You are definitely telling the others here, not me. :D While I have no doubt you have probably done it, you moved way too fast *and talked* to be starting to trip. It's usually one or the other, not both. Source: Hundreds of trips with others, hundreds more by myself. Now I just smoke weed and occasionally remember how much I like vodka. Too old for such adventure now-- and the weed is for a lot more than fun. Your humor is one of the things I like most about you. Wish I could afford to be on your Patreon, I'm sure it's a fun one. Yes, I'm that poor. But I'm rich with Push 2. Cheers.
Hot damn things get spicy here

I laughed on the "have you ever put a microphone under a cymbal, that's what it sounds like" part. Man, super sound design skills.
very impressed with how well you captured the characteristics of a ride
Welcome in this new episode of "ned rush demystifies autechre"
It annoys me that you don’t have 74 million subscribers - great stuff as per ✌🏽
Even without the corpus your ride chain sounded like a timestretched reverse cymbal. Gr8 stuff.
Haven’t even finished the video yet- so creative and inspiring!!!
Your videos are an excellent method of showing me how little I know about ableton.
10000000000% worthwile watching it until the end
once you started drawing this notes in the drum rack i immediately thought Pan Sonic. brilliant stuff my friend 🙏
'so i had this idea and..' *swigs beer* (two moments later) *maniac droid orchestra music*
Me : "I see 🤔"
Creating that decay macro and opening it for maximum chaos sounds so sick
Ridiculously good 👏🏻

honey wake up new Ned Rush video just dropped
u r the best on the business man! so much love for u
Hey man, I love your videos, you really stand out ;-) Even without droppig the acid ;-)))
Ned Rush + "drones" in the video title = I click super fast.
spit a little wine out of my nose when you said "make the low end squirt"
This is so cool. Thank you for sharing these explorations :)
"Squirty low end" is a great way to say you have IBS
Freaking awesome as always...
THANKS NED!
OMG thanks so much for these ideas! Inspiring and depression/anxiety curing. Big love.
*Scratches head* Never been happier to be a Patreon... its gonna take me a couple of watches to grok this! Thanks Ned!
cool material for inspiration. thanking youuuuuu
Cheers Nedskins - great as always!
I hate Hierarchies, whith you it's a no brainer 🙏🏼💥🙇💛
Can’t wait to try this in Logic. It has a chance function. I may have to automate some things such as decay but I don’t see why this wouldn’t work.
yeah, I'm pumped...let's make some dromes, erm, drunes, erm...you know, transienty thingies from drones😎
I made this one and somehow yours sounds better even though I'm not sure what's different. probably minor details right at the resampling stage that just means: train your ears :) But I still love what came out for me.
You are the one, man!!!

All sorts of fun and really helpful. Thanks man!
jeeeeeeez really inspiring, thanks Ned!!
This was killer.
I must be getting old, I can only handle 130 bpm even on a Friday these days.
very very very cool, thank you very much. Tell us something about melodic techno, about any instrument of your choice
Jolly Marvellous!
Ned Rush and Noptical
Awesome stuff man!
Can anyone explain the ‘audio from resampling’ move in the beginning? I dont get this routing idea😮
That dropped in pretty fast at 14min 22sec 😂
thank you for this. fucking amazing tutorial
My cat did not enjoy the ride cymbal part. Great video though!
30:04 maybe one more.. just one more

ned great video mate, one question tho, I can't find echo anywhere in my audio effects and it won't give me an option to buy it in Ableton . what do I do sir ?
What version of Live do you have?
@@NedRush fast reply from the man himself , This might not be helpful information but I have the one in between the cheapest and expensive
What version number?
@@NedRush 11 ;)

Well my dog did not appreciate the "ride gen" drone one little bit.
my cat tried to catch ghosts
Man i cannot for thelife of mefind that echoplug inon my ableton
Where is it?
Must be a full suite thing... bummer
what's shifter btw?
new in Ableton 11 I don't have it neither
The first seven minutes would not be out of place on a Panasonic album.
Should start calling them Droms / Druns

For the record I did not drop acid before shooting this video. That was my idea of a joke.
