Felt like a right idiot doing the 'chicachicah' bit on this but think the track needed it! Definitely one of the best pieces of Amiga music. - Видеоклипы
This is a masterpiece and I don’t know why it doesn’t have millions of views. Fantastic work, my friend.
Still listening to this amazing cover in 2024!
same my friend. i'm happy we're here.
yes yes yes...... lords of the old times..... perfect performance....thank you guys
good shit. I crushed my car while listening the oryginal :D
You crushed it or crashed it? :D
Beautiful Version! Your enjoyment infected me :)
Haha, glad you enjoyed it 😁
@@RetroGeet I am still periodically listening to this :)
The orginal composer would tip his hat for doing this masterpiece such justice. you will often catch me using this toon in my videos. Cheers I would love to use it in one if i ever get your permission to do so keep it up!
I think your cover is great... but what really blows my mind of the original music is that damn electro-bass line!
Cheers! Yeh it was hard to do justice to the bassline on an actual guitar, was tempted to do the bassline on a keyboard but then I'd have to change my username to RetroKeyt...
I used to love this game. So many fond memories of my amiga. Thanks for a great version of the sound track.
Thank you very much :)
The vocals at the start where trimmed down cuts of the sentence 'don't copy this game'.. Great cover!!!
Nice bit of trivia there! I always thought it was sampled from that "Oh Yeah" song off the Ferris Bueller soundtrack :)
Perfect cover.
Perfect comment.

Ta very much, got some more Amiga ones lined up. Should be up in the next few weeks :)
DO YOU KNOW HYBRIS AMIGA GAME ?? DO A VIDEO THAT GAME HAS A AWESOME ELECTRIC GUITAR !
Yeh, Hybris does have some great music but I don't think I'd ever be able to top this performance - ruclips.net/video/CRG3TlDOjJg/видео.html
I don't want to cover something that someone else has already done better! Lol :)
HEY DUDE YOU AND YOUR GUITAR CAN MAKE A WONDERFUL COVER AS THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL ! BESIDES THE ORIGINAL VERSION IS PLAYED WITH A ELECTRIC GUITAR NOT JUST WITH A SYNTHESIZER !
Well I'll pop it on the maybe pile for now - got too any other songs I want to do!

Haha, thank you very much :)
NICE!
Awesome!!!!
+SlavaGrig Cheers matey :)
This version of the song reminds me of something from _Streets of Rage_, strangely enough.
That's most definitely not a bad thing.
+Joseph Collins Cheers, maybe I'll have to do a Streets of Rage cover at some point :)
Why so small views? It's great!
Cheers! I'm guessing that guitar covers of ancient Commodore games are still a bit of a niche market :P
This guy gave up of Amiga soundtracks covers. It was ashame that he never did Wings of Death A500 cover
There's still time... lol
@@RetroGeet when you achieve your 60 year of age or die much before
@@UserUser-ef2wt Bit harsh haha 🤣🤣
@@RetroGeet Wings of Death soundtracks cover is too much work for you ans you don´t want to be the first because later there would be another one doing it and you have afraid of competition.
Fucking awesome! Thanks for this!
Cheers fella, glad you enjoyed it :)
We are waiting for more Commodore soundtracks covers :-) When do you release it ?
Hopefully have some more done this year :)
No dislikes... No surprise
Well, none yet at least :)

YOU REMIND ME THE SLAYER VOCALIST TOM ARAYA
Haha, cheers. I'll take that as a compliment :)
No one told you this before? that´s strange..you look just like him, Yeah it´s no shame at all looking like that huge metal legend !
TheReasonForYou Heu dude you´ve got to start to work on the Apydia and Hybris (Amiga versions) soundtracks ok? don´t forget Marauder in the end the result It will be amazing i´m sure !!
Well you'll have to be patient ok? Lol. These vids do take me a while to do and there is a lot of other songs I want to do first! I will get round to them at some point though :)
sounds kinda muted but it's still awesome
+vejin9 Cheers :)
Only 326 views?? :OOO
What is the meaning of this ???

Cheers, spread the word haha :)
Check out my version of this music!! I did a Metal/Rock arrangement to it!
tell me what you think about it :D
Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 (Metal arrangement)
look if your not going to incude the "do not copy this game" into your cover then i can only score it a 9
Haha, I always thought that was a myth! Only realised it was genuine when I heard that bit solo'd out.
Nice try. Too bad it lacks the fat 90's techno bass that really makes this track.
Without the proper effects for bass, I suggest doing a Super Cars II cover instead. Though not very technical, it would showcase a clean guitarist far better.
Cheers! I did try putting some synth style filters and ocatvers on the bass but didn't think it sounded right for a guitar cover. Have you heard Barry Leitch's own re-imagining of the theme? ruclips.net/video/8u-hicOpwOs/видео.html < his manages to keep the feel of the original pretty well I think. Never played Super Cars II back in the day but have heard the soundtrack. Will add it to my ever growing to do list of songs :)
RetroGeet That's just it. You'd need a more hitting and less flowing rhythm guitar to support the funkier bass and then have a "thinner" (edit: and less "spacy") lead to make it work. I think this piece originally consists of (and was composed on) samples from Technotronic: The soundscape is re-imagined techno and needs to be something similar, IMHO. Maybe something along the lines of RatM to hit a similar profile?
Anyway that's why I suggested Super Cars II. That's fairly straightforward rock/metal, so this sound wouldn't feel out of place. Though, I suppose it doesn't offer much of a challenge, except for clean playing and getting those sweet vibratos and bends just right, so I can imagine it doesn't have the same appeal for a musician trying to explore the possibilities and make his mark.
(As a sidenote, I think currently way too many *singers* are throwing themselves off a cliff trying to add their touch instead of simply getting out of the way of the music, the song and the melody. Thankfully musicians have so far been content enough to respect the art with skilled playing rather than pushing general sloppiness by shifting their focus on finding new ways to screw with the composition in order to put themselves in the middle of it. Yeah, I find most "soulful" singing has been lacking subtlety and true emotion, i.e. soul, for quite some time. Sorry about the rant.)
Yeh I get what you mean. Problem is I've never had a great ear for guitar tones and I'm not a bassist at all! Hence why most of my covers are pretty plain sounding tone-wise :)
RetroGeet I see. Of course it's about the bass as well. I think there's a rhythmic component to a bass that a guitar doesn't need to have. I'd say that's due to the pitch, really. Melodies simply aren't that prominent with lower frequencies (especially with drums and stuff playing) so you need to accentuate them. Simply by playing pauses, you prime the next note, because then it's not just the background sound changing but bringing focus to it since it's something new again.
Pretty much the only guy I can think of to play guitar like a bass is Tom Morello, so don't feel bad about your bass-playing - unless you really like playing RatM. But of course, the amount of music that is essentially driven or at the very least pumped up by the rhythm of the bass is staggering. Minding about the note lengths and intensity goes a long way. Think of what Symphony of Destruction would sound like if the bass was dragging or mushy during the verses. Now of course, it also gets very nicely out of the way during the chorus and pre-chorus when it could be a distraction.
As for the guitar tone, etc., I don't think it matters much if you're only playing for yourself or practising, but that's something that really changes the feel of the whole song and can easily detract from the whole if it doesn't match the feel of the song. It's really something to think about when listening to something like Hot Dog in a Hallway.
