Yay! More great info! Your previous videos helped me decide where to stay in the Keys when my friends and I went in January. Love your recommendations.

Great video. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem with me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

Your videos are so helpful. We r planning a family trip in August and looking to stay in that area. Can I ask if all of the hotels u have been to in Islamorada , which one is actually your favorite ? Also , do any of them actually have full walk in beach access , meaning can u walk into water to swim ? I know this is atypical for a lot of beach locations …. Thnx Also , to book a hotel of your choice how much time in advance do u recommend if august is our target ?

Hey! Thank you so much for watching. We've enjoyed all Islamorada resorts for the most part. The only one we wouldn't go back to is the Fisher Inn. The water in Islamorada isn't great for swimming because it's so rocky and may have seagrass, so I'd recommend some swim shoes or something similar. The water is so beautiful that I still get in to swim, but I definitely appreciate the swim shoes when I do! Most of the resorts have a beach-style entrance, but some only have a ladder (Amara Cay was one that only had a ladder for entrance to the beach).
Cheeca is probably our favorite place to stay in Islamorada, but it tends to be expensive (we stayed on a less busy weekend when we found a good deal). Islander Resort in this video is probably our second favorite. Pelican Cove is nice, too, and most people love it. We really like it, but we prefer the location of Cheeca and Islander more.
I'm just finishing up a blog post this week of all the Islamorada resorts we've stayed at with a little more detail, so I'll post that when I'm done too.

Islander Resort (this video), Amara Cay or Pelican Cove are all great options! You honestly cannot go wrong with any of them in my opinion!
