Those monthly figures look like the annual cost divided by 12. You can pay more and less all depends on the quality and experience of the captain and chef you want and how many days and hours they will be required to be 'on call'.
selling a course - if it's your own course - is direct payment....if you do a collab with other content creators, there will be split on the cost of the course between the two (creator and referral source). If they use equipment, have clothing sponsors or other products like that - they may have an affiliate link for directing their viewing audience to the retailer/manufacturer that pays the content creator a sales commission for those referrals.
