I was already enjoying Inaki as Luffy, but the way he screamed “never” at Garp in the beginning solidified it for me 😭
That scream convinced me to. Same with the battle axe moment, I kinda wish he got more moments like that
Me tooo😭
Oda the One Piece author said he can't imagine anyone else playing Luffy.
so similar to luffy's YADAAAAA
@@toliveandneverleaveyesss almost perfect
zoros actor is 100% a one piece enjoyer. Ain't no way he didnt just act out the scene he saw
Mackenyu has even said he grew up watching One Piece.
Nami’s actress is also a huge One Piece fan, both of them have read the manga. It’s fun watching them nerd out about it behind the scenes 🙂
The actor of Sanji actually trained Martial Arts and took cooking classes and everything. He also makes all of his Stunts
He practiced his kicks for 8 hrs a day. Mental committment.
I also heard that he now loves martial arts and uses it as a hobby!
Also he’s fucking RIPPED. That scene next ep when he jumps in after luffy had me gobsmacked
Now that's dedication.
@@ScooterSkillsYolo Facts
Mihawk just perfect from his mannerism to is dialect so good 👌🏻
Watch his scenes again in Japanese dub 🔥🔥
One minor thing this episode I wanna bring attention to was how the Baratie was far and foggy af when the straw hats were pulling up and Usopp was still able to read the sign. God Usopp fr.
I was literally just thinking about that - like how da fuq did he see the name through ALL that fog?!
uhmm sniper king? he needs super ultra mega alpha sight to be one so...
@@chad63 wait till you get to dressrosa, youll understand
@@Lukas-ht9xmim a manga reader i think i understand thank you lmao
@@chad63 then what's the point of that dumbass comment? That's why the original commentor mentioned it..
The live action is allowing Rob to admit his love for Zoro. I love that for the community 🤣
@@BoostlessJoe lil bro be coping right now 😂
@@thewhutnow5795 Rob is just playing a character, pretending he likes the live action zoro
@@BoostlessJoechange that name to jobless joe cuz u need one
Yeah wtf this threw me in a loop. I'm here for likable Rob.
@@BoostlessJoe weird, I always thought it was the opposite way around, just for the anime zoro?
Taz, the guy playing Sanji, is so good, my favorite acting perf between the strawhats. I started following him on instagram and the guy seriously loves doing the most dangerous stuff, it's crazy lol and it's insane how good he became in such a short time without having any previous martial arts experience.
Him and the actor playing Zeff also already worked together before and it shows, they have such good chemistry.
Rob hyping up Zoro just warms my heart😂
They did such a good job with the Baratie set and the Zoro/Mihawk fight. I quite enjoyed changing the story to have Nami stay back to watch Zoro's duel given how they connected the night before with their drinking game.
I pray they continue doing the thing where everyone reacted differently with their wanted poster because I seriously love it so much just that little bit of extra made it better
they're gonna, it's their take on how Oda presents the bounties in the manga, the love the production team has for this show is so present
Ong it's such a cool element of the show
@@loonzoldick Oh im ready even more then! I can't wait to see what new creative ways they show the other bounties, seen on insta that Jamie Lee is REALLY wanting to be Dr Kureha and Matt (the writer) basically said "No need to lobby. once the strike is over and we get back to work lets talk!" and even better jamie is a huge fan of one piece and her favorite character is chopper
Good seeing rob enjoy the live action zoro 😂😂
He can now be himself and not play the troll
He should be
😂😂😂
lol If they want to lose more Patreon subs, he's free to try that idiotic strategy again. He already set himself as the a-hole on this page, so most viewers don't have a good opinion of him acting normal towards anything to do with Zoro.
@@Lilpat60💯💯💯
Never thought I would prefer the live action Zoro over the anime, but I lowkey love the live action one more. He captures the OG Zoro and adds a bit more flavor. Perfect cast.
They all got good casting TBH. I can't believe they pulled off a live action.
Same with live action Sanji.
Manga/anime Sanji needs to take notes because people are simping for LA Sanji.
I think part of why some people love this change from this adaptation is due to live action actually being able to put into character what Zoro/Sanji and the rest of the crew should actually be portraying from the animated series or the manga, including their actions/facial expressions, literally everything, is now just a better, live counterpart, and being able to keep all those inherent qualities of those characters and add more to it is in a way something just entirely better on its own making this series good
Yall always gotta ruin stuff and forcing me to hate what kinda dumbass shit is saying its better then the anime 💀 Stfu the actor tries a little 2 hard to be cool becomes a bit cringy at times but sanji is way better then the anime
Outside of the strawhats and Mihawk, Zeff's actor was a major W. He portrayed the character so well and he bodied every scene he was in.
Zoro drank cuz Nami told him u never had "friends" in plural he said he had one friend so they both lost cuz she wasn't 100% wrong , I also love hoz they made zoro the one to ask her cuz he was the one to notice and observe really well .
Zoro be reading people so well but cannot find his way around a mansion, the backyard of a mansion or even a ship, 10/10 adaptation 🤭
@@loonzoldick exactly lol, well at least he has other qualities to compensate for his bad direction sense
Zoro is def my favorite character 2nd is Nami i love the dark/serious take on the character and her being conflicted with actually liking the crew but still trying to get over on them ussops actor made me like the character way more Luffy is getting better with each episode and Sanji is def cooler and smoother in the live action lol
Garp was never goofy in the first couple of episodes until we figured out that hes Luffys Grandpa somewhere in the 300s. You all forgetting that the characters here are not the ones from the current point in the anime but the ones from the first 50 episodes.
He was goofy at the start axe hand morgan cutting him which is the first time we see him proves this
what do you mean never goofy? Garp's first appearance was having a donut competition, with himself. lol
Mihawk is Perfect🔥
*"yeah Zoro is the coolest one ngl"*
from Rob of all people ?!
The zoro and Mihawk was fire asf 🔥🔥
Mihawks introduction was my favorite moment in the live action one piece!
The actor playing Zoro has played in many anime live adaptation. He's also used to swords and does martial arts.
Bro mihawk was beyond fire casting its literally perfect
Finally rob can admit he likes zoro
I'm so glad that Netflix made this cause I have been hearing the hype about one piece over the years but didnt really got the time or energy to watch over 1000 episode of the anime neither reading the manga so watching this is the best for me and I really enjoy it ❤
they've already said season 2 will be up to and including alabasta. that means the giants, chopper, mr 2, robin, vivi, laboon, smoker, all coming up next.
i hope we get a good ace too

Zoro vs Mihawk most accurate fight in the live action anime for sure
When I saw Mihawk, my thoughts were, “He’s awesome! He’s awesome! He’s awesome! He’s awesome! He’s awesome!” 😂
Luffy and garp moment make me smile
That acting was crazy bro the Zoro scene had me tearing up when the anime didn’t
Man I really don’t get how people hate this version of Garp, he’s awesome
Yeah. To be honest, I don’t know why?
Zoro is the best character in this live adaptation. Actor did a great job!
I love Sanji’s shit-eating grin when he looks at the bill. Apparently he loves siccing Zeff on people.
I can't wait to see what yall think about arlong. Arlong is so fire in this too. Love the villains
This shit got Pat crying 😭😭
Btw zeff’s actor voiced ghost in the OG call of duty modern warfare
LA so good that it made Jerry and Rob switch up 😂
nigga had 5001 members in his crew...he the only survivor lmfaooo

Lmfaooooo
As much as Rob be killing me sometimes, I can’t watch reactions without him😭 the ni*** you love to hate 😭
Garps actor is awesome dude
Rob came back and made them all come to their senses lol
The day came 🥳🥳🥳
Rob praise zoro 😂
Finaly after years bro Lmao😂
wow lived long enough to see rob praising zoro 😂😂
You can see Pearl's body knocked out in the back in the Mihawk scene lol
Ep5 is my fav episode in the LA. The comedy the action and the feelings 10/10
Now that i'm thinking about it, i'm surprised Luffy understands the concept of "Interest" 😆
Rob liking Zoro most of all actually shows how great the writing, acting, and casting was on this show.
Sanji having negative rizz and zoro being smooth af is funny as hell but we already know sanji's gentleman shit only works on certain characters so at least that's accurate to source
Do they know that the actor for zoro Mackenyu also played in the Rurouni Kenshin live action 👀
i think they do
Pat either happy asl or high asl😂 but naw that Mihawk fight went crazy
It’s a shame that we didn’t get a LA Luffy vs Don Kreig fight but the rest of the episode was so good, can’t wait to see more.
I didn’t bother me; they had to change some stuff and make it shorter for live action.
Live action Zoro is so good-looking.
I from india and i love zoro and luffy character and I love you ur reaction guys ❤❤
The LA is the more serious version of the One Piece!
If you take away most of the goofy part of the One Piece anime, the end result would be like this! It shows us the serious parts of the story!
pat pre watches everything lmao
I knew they was going to bust out when he said never
I'm patiently waiting for the alabasta for the introduction of not just robin but ace as well
I don't know y , I was crying during ur reactions😢😅 ..
Gud 2 see rob liking Zoro ..
Only if rob was this optimistic in anime for Zoro , it would been great 🔥🔥
The treasure tab was from Ace and sabo flashback when sabo had that noble crest and they ate Ramen and when they're caught they left a note add it to treasure tab lol
Actually luffy said that first at Makino's bar before met ace and sabo
I can't wait to see Akainu , Kizaru and Aokiji
Everything was setup so well
Rob had to take the second chance, i mean man is still hating anime Zoro to back up his earlier hate, now he got a chance second chance to enjoy the badass vibes
What's interesting is Sanji - the beloved cook of the Straw Hats and aficionado of women everywhere - is no longer outwardly a creep to women. He still seems to have a crush on Nami, but he no longer reacts with heart-shaped eyes and bursting bloody noses. The live-action series changes a lot about Sanji from the source material. Fans of the anime and manga will notice immediately that he no longer rocks his character-defining swirled eyebrow and now has a sultry British accent, but from the jump his character is different. The first time Sanji meets Nami in the anime and manga, he is immediately “in love” and over-the-top horny for her, but here he’s merely charming. This is good; this is actually a relatively tame example of Sanji’s unquenchable thirst, as his obsession with seeing women’s bodies escalates. In later arcs, he fantasizes about eating a Devil Fruit to make him invisible so he can peep on women, and feels Nami’s body up during a body-swap episode. Netflix’s One Piece makes a crucial character change from the manga for the better All the One Piece season 2 news we’ve heard so far
Sanji falls into what some would call the “chivalrous pervert character” trope because he doesn’t just chase women, he also cannot physically fight them… literally. “Sanji doesn’t have a ‘policy’ of not kicking women; the truth is that he actually CAN’T kick them,” creator Eiichiro Oda said in a column. Initially, this inherent ability of Sanji’s could be interpreted as a positive lesson for young boys, but these aspects tend to have an insidious side. In it, Sanji’s more gallant antics can excuse his overly sexual tendencies - or worse, frame his obsession with women as something positive rather than degrading. By that logic, one could excuse Sanji’s perverted antics because he cares about women so much. But this framing doesn’t question his behavior at all and instead frames Sanji as virtuous even while he refuses to fight formidable opponents at times, solely because of their gender. I would say it’s controversial, but it’s not, because this particular trope appears as a regular fixture in manga and anime. The basic line of thought often parroted by fans is that shonen as a genre is written to appeal to young boys; the perverted character then enables young boys to fantasize about these women through that character’s gaze and also provides comedic relief when needed. The gag appears in many other shonen series, like Naruto, My Hero Academia, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Even kid-friendly anime series like Pokémon had characters like Brock, who would ask every single Nurse Joy or Officer Jenny to marry him.
But the new version of Sanji no longer bothers women. It’s not that Sanji isn’t interested in women; he’s just a lot more respectful about it. In his introductory scene, Sanji offers Nami several drinks and offers her “something sweet for someone sweet.” It’s a change I think the show and the character actually benefit from, given the scene can proceed with minimal interruption and viewers don’t need to deal with any sort of derailed conversations that happen due to Sanji’s immediate lustful reaction to a woman. For whatever charm the original character has, horny blood-spurting pushes the boundaries of live-action One Piece at least.
I feel the big thing is that now being an american produced live action series means it's no longer a shonen series so stuff that would be common/acceptable in a shonen is not here, namely the over the top perversion.
To be fair, the horny nose-bleeding was a post timeskip thing mostly. And really only super present during the first two arcs. There's an example during Wano that's pretty bad, but from my understanding, it was a mixed bath which makes the scene a bit better.
Sanji's horny antics were a lot more subdued in pre-timeskip One Piece. The only two examples where I think he did something that could be interpreted as degrading was in Alabasta, when he buys dancing girl outfits for Nami and Vivi as disguises (with the joke being that they'd be hidden under a robe for the majority of their time crossing the desert anyway), and the really awkward joke when all of the characters peep on Vivi and Nami (which was definitely a bad joke).
Also, ever since Whole Cake and the complete reveal of Sanji's backstory, Sanji's refusal to hit women is clearly much more associated with his dislike of Judge/memories of his mother and his life with Zeff, not his horny antics. After all, it was Zeff who drilled it into him not to hit women, and Zeff has never shown any similar behavior to Sanji's.
@@roberthebert2826I just think they tried to avoid over the top because it would look ridiculous in live action. Not necessarily cause it’s American Produced
@@nolord2563 the American part wasn't the important thing. It not being a Shonen targeted at young boys and now being a more general audience thing is what I was getting at
Sorry but i feel like people are way too influenced by post time skip, Sanji at Baratie wasn't really a creep (though his love declaration to Nami was embarrassing lol) and was surrounded by girls in the Arlong Park after party. He didn't nosebleed all over the place either when he interacted with pretty women. I still like Sanji a lot, but Oda did him dirty in the post time skip when it comes to the perv gag, it's ridiculous.
Also they have all been toned down a lot, Nami isn't as cheecky and messy as the manga/anime version, but a lot more deadpan snarky. Same for Zoro, who doesn't emote nearly as much as his manga/anime counterpart.
Damn.. Rob knows how to play with this Zoro gimmick
Rob loving Zoro?! Hell has frozen over!
Fun fact: Zeff is played by Craig Fairbrass aka Ghost from MW2 2009
I enjoyed your guy’s reaction to each of the episodes of One Piece anime & live action version. Out of the characters in One Piece whether it’s anime or live action is definitely Sanji because not only he’s really attractive, he’s a really good fighter even though he doesn’t throw a punch, but damn his foods are so good that it makes my mouth water I actually have a crush on him.
Idk if anyone knows but mackenyu(zoro's actor) has been in other live action animes to include Rurouni Kenshin. :) he was yukishiro enishi
you can't Xerox anime character exactly same to live action 😂
And Garp was amazing
very much loved Sanji and the straw hats in the live action and I absolutely adore inaki as Luffy
Zoro actully knows how to sorwd fight in real life so thats why his scenes are so good because he loves to sorwd fight ik i cant spell
Zoro is still Zoro even if he in a different medium
double thumbs up for rob and making it back with the squad and a speedy recovery
Garp coming in here and tearing up little Luffy's ship, just like king triton destroyed Ariel's collection in the little mermaid. His gramps is harsh. XD
Zoro love from Rob?!....alright😂😂😂
Luffy and Zoro talk just exactly the anime thing 🤣
I'm glad they are getting rid of pointless fights, makes the story flow much quickly while keeping important parts, don't need the live action to be like the anime with over 1000 episodes.
damn, mihawk looks so cool..
Does this mean Pat is done nitpicking everything? lol
Garp is big but he can actually talk in the anime lmao i couldn't imagine hearing Arnold or Stalone mumbling through the entire show 😂
Young Luffy looks like young Jaden Smith.
They bodied this episode in every way
I want gins jacket. So spot on man. Costuming was so exceptional
GARP IS IN THE MOVIE 300, A SPARTAN
The only critique that I have is that sanji was supposed to witness the zoro vs mihawk fight like in the anime.
how they tied it up? in the manga the reason sanji watching mihawk fight zoro bc don crieg attacked baratie .there is no reason for him to be there in the live action
@@katulampasenpai7907 he works and lives there, it wouldn't have been that difficult to have him and Zeff witness a swordfight right outside the entrance😅 they would have also woke up early to start prep for lunch.
@@katulampasenpai7907 he lives and works there? In the manga sanji was shocked of zoros dedication and conviction towards his own dream and gained massive respect for him.
@@katulampasenpai7907 outside is still Baratie though, it really wouldn't have been that hard to have him go outside to smoke or look out of a window and see what was going on🤷♀️ it wasn't a bad ep, far from it, but it wouldn't have been that hard to twitch things a little to have something similar to how Sanji witnessed the Mihawk fight, or made Gin a dangerous guy even without Don Krieg.
@@bluelight17 i guess you missed my point...they done enough with keeping up stuff to the source material..its a manga adaptation..this not really 1-1 adaptation..plus the rule"there is no fight in baratie" so seeing people fight is not someting new for them..
i didnt even realize rob was gone
Garps actor is 2 inches taller than Sylvester Stallone 🤣😂
Not rob actually spitting facts😂 homie Sanji really pulled up on shawty surrounded by all dudes and spit game😂😂😂 no ragrets i guess
Zoro also closed his left eye when he said he will never lose again. Maybe an accident maybe on purpose with some foreshadowing.
Dude tying to load a cannon from the back
you guys should see the cast react to the highlights of the show so far
Y’all should try watching the Japanese dub with eng sub if you trying to hear the anime Luffys voice instead
Im really happy rob is back
