    Im still confused about co living, can you literally live there like a normal hostel????

    • @BrittneeBond
      @BrittneeBond  4 года назад +3

      Yes! It’s really great to have a “home” away from home. I’ve lived abroad for 5 years and sometimes it can get lonely. It’s really nice to have a built in community when you’re first landing in a new country. And we all work remotely, so we have the same life style. Highly recommend trying it out. :)

    Shame the place wasn't more busy, would have been better to see what it was like with 20 people working.

      Yeah, I agree. It felt comfortable for us because there was the quiet area room, the kitchen area (for more casual), a skype room, and the back patio. Even with a full house, I had a whole area to myself (I get claustrophobic easily for my workspace).

    Co-living is a dorm and the tenants aren't students.

    Co living can work, not like this at scale, you need a large bedroom that includes a bathroom. 8 meter by 8 meter room, 3 x 3 meter bathroom. Vertical building must become utilized so i would aim for 11 to 12 floors, I would aim for 20 people in co living buildings, A large kitchen, transition bed and couch and fold up desk to bedrooms, maybe even the fridge, Like i eat all my meals in front of the tv so is a large table needed, no, maybe hire a cleaner between you all. You to remember if this is the scale regular people will not be super social and need bathroom space. People need bedroom space if you want them to buy items, Sound proofing rooms, double beds, smaller ceilings maybe in bedooms, Try avoid conflict points with kitchen design so maybe have a shared cooking area and separate the sink back to bedrooms, store your own plate and forks in your bedroom, you could travel downstairs with a kitchen box to cook meals and eat at the table or go back to your couch, imagine the housemate that never cleans. pee on shared toilet seats, i mean we know how bad office bathrooms can be and thats with a cleaning staff. Co living must avoid friction points so space is impotant, maybe no real shared living room is needed and co living should be about going out to be social. Having 20 house mates you probably need more hob space, a new solution for cookers to avoid long queues, people wont eat the same things or all be super organized.

    And then you get that new guy who moves in who has very low standards of hygiene and a long history of chronic masturbation.
