Ahh the nostalgia. Had one of these for years before it came to a premature watery end down a manhole, the only apple thing I've ever owned. I loved the shape and feel of it. I have no interest in the latest ipods as I'm not a fan of touch screens.

Hey DetroitBORG, stupid question, but why would you ever need so many iPods? I mean, you surely won't use them all? Or are you addicted to collecting Apple Products?
Just be aware that if you want to load it up with a bit of everything, music is not a problem. But TV shows are what take up the space while music videos and podcasts are like nothing for this unit. That's why I got the Classic. Now that I think about it, the 3rd generation Nano was nothing but a small Classic. What problem did you have with this iPod that you had to send it back for a replacement?

Awh! this was the one I lost and it was the best nano apple has created IMO, now the ones they have out just doesn't compare, oh well I got the iPod Touch and it's a device that i can't ever lose because of the beacon.
I have a question. I bought a brand new too 2 day ago and it wasn't charged just like this one. I put it in to start charge and it started. I put music,pics and everything I charged it all day and night maybe and it's still not charged and when i get it off the cable it doesn't want to star up :s
@COOLDUDE7531642 The hold switch temporarily disables the click wheel and all buttons until you click it back. so you would use it when you jog, exercise or just plain moving around and the song wont change if you accidentally bump one of the buttons. Its pretty handy, I use it all the time.

I love this iPod, this is the only Apple product that i own and its been 7 or 8 years already since i bought, and its still working perfectly.
Emdie I have a refurbished iPod Nano 3rd Generation that my dad gave me for Christmas in 2008. It still works 8 years later.

My sister left hers in a drawer for several years so the battery life is like 20 minutes but if connected to a charger it works correctly
I have a 4th gen from 2008 and it still works great 10 years later with the exception of poor battery life due to battery age
i do too,mine is scratched everywhere and the battery sucks and my play button is a bit broken
I miss this thing, mine fell out my pocket on a bus when I fell asleep 😔
