Don't really know much about these things, I guess. The sounds you hear are coming from several different things. 1. Intake whistle (jet turbo sound) intake is in my back seat right under the camera. 2. intake wastegate sound ( dual mechanical ) 3. dual exhaust wastgates ( making too much boost ) digitally controlled in cab. 4 sound of a lot of HP (way over $50k in motor, probably closer to $100k)
Nice vid! Sound was great and cool that your microphone still let the car ahead(?) of you be heard once in awhile. Wish you had telemetry on screen in the video too. What's your best time at Willow with that car? Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed your vid and to me that's a fast car. I know it's pretty easy to get this cars to a 400whp, that's what I'm trying with a K27, sc cams, costum exaust system, 1bar spring and other small stuff. but if you want to get over the 400 whp then you just start to spent the big money. :-) I would love to be your passenger for a few lap's!
If you know that price of the car... Even that engine cost maybe more then 20.000$ I would also not take the risk crashing it... That would be a waste... Nice car mate!
700+ hp then he has spent over double that, just on the motor. Mine is 620 hp and the only thing that i really haven't done is fuel inject. The owner before me claims to have spent 20g and I've dumped 25g myself, on the motor. Impossible to know, but frankly, this doesn't APPEAR to be 700hp to me though. Judging from the straight away. To put in perspective, I can do burn outs at 100 mph by throttle in third gear on 295/30-18 street tires.
damnnnn, that gate sounds wicked! no offence, but you are kind of a slow driver though, scared to oversteer that shit through the turns. Plus I like the long geared 4 speed better, you have to shift too much.
okay so i'm going to have to eat some crow here. It appears that i aren't very good at the youetube thing. And apparently what I thought was part of the sound of his wastegate was actually a pneumatic transmission that i haven't even be knowing about. and knowing that my friend has a $40,000 5 speed from ruf, i can only imagime what this upgrade costs. bottom line, maybe next time instead of being a smartass, i should pay a little more attention before i post. hehe.
