Tammy Wynette - Soakin' Wet(1967)

"Soakin' Wet" was recorded June 27, 1967. It was written by Don Chapel (Tammy's second husband). It was the B side of her first solo #1 hit "I Don't Wanna Play House." The song can also be found on the multi album set "The Very Best Of Tammy Wynette"(1972).

I've played steel guitar professionally for 45 years and I love the intro. Tammy was the Queen of country music and Donna added that perfect compliment to all of Tammy's work. How I would have loved to have known her and worked in her band.

What a magnificent angel she was to country western music. Her range was incredible. As males a lot of us do not like to admit that we are emotionally effected by music. And I can feel and empathize and sympathize with her beautiful, serene singing.
